Bizagi is a Process Modeling and Process Automation Tool.
Bizagi and Celonis compete in the field of business process management and automation. Bizagi seems to have the upper hand regarding ease of use and rapid deployment, while Celonis shines in process mining and data analytics capabilities.
Features: Bizagi provides comprehensive process documentation and automation tools that support various modeling standards. It offers process simulation and automation capabilities, facilitating use for both novice users and experienced analysts. Celonis stands out with its advanced process mining and data analytics features, allowing businesses to uncover inefficiencies and integrate data from multiple sources.
Room for Improvement: Bizagi users report difficulties with device alignment and display, as well as challenges with licensing and exporting features. There's a call for improved documentation and integration capabilities. Celonis is noted for its complexity and steep learning curve, with users seeking more flexibility, better integration options, and enhanced automation features.
Ease of Deployment and Customer Service: Bizagi is primarily deployed on-premises with some cloud and hybrid support. Users find it straightforward to deploy but experience variability in technical support quality. Celonis is highly adaptable to cloud environments, which users appreciate. However, while their customer service is generally good, some users note occasional delay in response times.
Pricing and ROI: Bizagi offers a free modeler and several licensing options, although recent price increases have been observed. It is valued for cost-effectiveness in process automation. Celonis, perceived as expensive, primarily appeals to larger organizations with its usage-based pricing model. Both Bizagi and Celonis provide significant ROI, with Bizagi being recognized for cost savings in automation and Celonis for its potential in process optimization.
In the first couple of years, I would not expect a return on investment because the initial setup will take more than a year if the process requires significant customization.
In my opinion, there's a positive return on investment.
I have seen a return on investment, especially in time saved for my clients; in the incident management process, the average cycle time for handling tickets was over ninety-eight hours, but after identifying root causes, such as tickets being held due to wrong group allocation, the cycle time reduced to approximately thirty-eight hours.
It is a community product, there is not much support we can expect.
The toolset is very intuitive, so we didn’t need to contact their support much.
It took more than two weeks to receive a response.
Celonis customer support is really good; they investigate concerns thoroughly and provide solutions or troubleshooting steps, which I find helpful.
Other times I do not get much clarity on the support from the team.
There is no direct scalability option.
If I rate scalability from one to ten, I would probably give it a six.
I recall that when we started using Celonis, we had a space of five terabytes and around one thousand users, and Celonis managed all of that easily.
I recommend focusing on recent data or perhaps five years of historical data along with live data for better visibility and stability in the process.
At the moment, I'd rate scalability six or seven out of ten.
It's super stable.
Celonis is stable.
Reporting capabilities can be improved more, and community support should be increased.
For more mature environments, the integration to live systems is lacking, which affects its applicability.
The decision map could be improved to allow more than three options at a decision point.
Ultimately, I need niche expertise, combining strong SAP knowledge with Celonis competency.
It is essential for the Celonis solution to have their services and solution models integrated with GenAI.
The most important area for improvement is the automation part.
Bizagi's pricing is very aggressive, and it was one of the reasons we chose it.
I think it's relatively expensive, but it's also good.
Based on client feedback, I have heard that the pricing for Celonis is considered high.
creating a data model for one process will differ in cost if you add more data models for additional processes.
It is open source.
The user interface is very good, making it easy for business people to understand.
Bizagi has rich functionalities; compared to other BPMN tools, it has more features.
Celonis is also beneficial for its built-in apps that streamline tasks from legacy applications, facilitating daily operations and improving efficiency.
It provides a visualization of the process itself, giving a very good synthesis of performance and helping me find improvements.
It's the first solution that combines business competence and capabilities with technological capabilities.
