Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Long-term ticket management has become straightforward and supports efficient incident handling
The best feature of BMC Remedy is that you can easily understand all the features in it as they are not complicated. When you click on new incident, all the fields are self-explanatory regarding what is required to be put in the work details node section assigned to chrome. These are all pretty easy to understand, and nothing much training is required for a person to start working on BMC Remedy.

A user-friendly solution that has a good user interface, but its technical support is not good enough
Around 20 to 25 staff members are needed to deploy and maintain the solution, including two managers, one architect, and other implementers. IBM Tivoli Asset Management for IT does not adopt the latest technology. The solution can be integrated with our existing IT environment through some web services and connectors. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

Pros

"Automation Anywhere performs efficiently."
"One of the most valuable features is object cloning, the ability to get into websites and do things faster."
"From a technical perspective, developers can easily create bots and get things done with this tool."

"We automated these processes so they will be processed automatically, and users will get the end result for validation—it is basically time-saving for them."
"Overall, I would rate Automation Anywhere a nine out of ten."
"What I appreciate most about Automation Anywhere is the high degree of interoperability, and they have both on-premises and cloud versions, which allows us to ensure that we are properly following the protocols and ensuring seamless integration with our native systems."
"One of the most valuable features is the error handler, as this command has helped me design bots that can handle multiple errors and exceptions."
"The solution helps to manage the operational flow in our organization."
"The customer support is great, maybe that's because I'm with a big client."
"The solution offers some very good features."
"It includes features for automation, such as smart reporting capabilities."
"The toolset is mature, easily integrable with various technologies due to its maturity, and has great scalability."
"The most valuable features of BMC Remedy are its ease of use, ease of installation, and customization capabilities."
"The service management features are beneficial – very good."
"The solution is extremely user-friendly."
"IBM Tivoli Asset Management for IT is a user-friendly solution that has a good user interface."

Cons

"I have been using IQ Bot, and its accuracy can be improved. It could be more accurate."
"We would like to see more capability for integration and more customization available with some features."
"However, if documents are scanned and not clear, the accuracy is not up to the mark."
"The initial deployment and onboarding process was somewhat difficult, but once things stabilized, the experience became excellent."
"The goal of any automation is to provide efficiencies... I would like a default feature where each bot gives us data on all the benefits it provides from its process."
"We have HTML mode and Window mode, but Automation Anywhere is limited in this. It would be better if they were able to provide different specification modes."
"Automation Anywhere says that you can use this tool for any type of application, but there are some for which it is not compatible."
"We are at an inflection point where we have automated so much that just keeping the lights on certainly takes 20% to 50% of the time, depending on the time of year. Being able to enable the stakeholders is one of my main focuses. If we are automating their process, I want them to continue owning that as much as possible. We are just expanding on the bot insights. From a security perspective, there have been some challenges for us getting our customers in there from a role-level security perspective and making sure that they have full access to the control room and their automation after it is automated."
"Could be more user friendly for admins to manage."
"The system excels in hardware asset management, but has limitations in software asset management, particularly in discovering full licenses installed on different workstations and creating relationship trees for assets assigned to employees or devices."
"The solution must be flexible."
"BMC can be complex because everything is linked through different workflows, forms, and fields, making it less straightforward than other platforms with more intuitive workflow designers."
"The desktop technicians face some challenges with the solution."
"BMC works through intermediaries or vendors for support, so you don't always interact with BMC directly. The quality can vary depending on the specific vendor."
"When it comes to CMDB, to be able to manage the data, you have to have Atrium integrator, another integrated tool."
"The tool is very old."
"The solution’s initial setup is complex and technical support is not good enough."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
"It's fine. However, I'm concerned with the credits in terms of the pricing for the AI models. It is understandable that the new ones are more expensive, but the base models, after doing the pricing conversion, cost about four to ten times as much as paying directly."
"We are a partner of Automation Anywhere and find the pricing to be reasonable."
"It is somewhere in the middle. The price and value of Automation Anywhere are better than UiPath. The pricing is good globally. It could be a little bit cheaper, but it is good."
"The solution itself is free unless we want to add the support option but we have to pay for the bots we use."
"The pricing is reasonable and one can achieve ROI faster when compared to other tools."
"We only deal in annual licenses. There are no pay-as-you-go licenses."
"It is not cheap, but we are able to get an ROI."
"The pricing is on the expensive side."
"It is an expensive tool."
"BMC should decrease the pricing further."
"I find the pricing to be reasonable."
"The tool is expensive."
"BMC no longer sells Remedy separately. They've transitioned to selling the BMC Helix platform. Remedy itself is nearing end-of-support."
"The product is costly. On one to ten points, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the product's price as nine."
"BMC Remedy is worth its price."
"IBM Tivoli Asset Management for IT is an expensive solution."
