Centralized device management has automated onboarding and improves remote security compliance
One thing I feel Microsoft Intune could improve is troubleshooting visibility. In many cases, when a policy or application deployment fails, the error messages are a bit generic. So, admins still spend time checking logs manually or testing on devices one by one. Compared to the simplicity of deployment, troubleshooting sometimes feels less mature. I also think reporting and real-time monitoring could be stronger. The dashboard gives useful information, but in large environments, many teams still depend on additional tools or scripts for deeper reporting and analytics. If I had to focus on one area first, I would probably choose troubleshooting and reporting. Deployment through Microsoft Intune is generally straightforward, but when something fails, identifying the exact root cause can still take more time than expected. Error messages are sometimes too generic, and admins often have to dig through logs, sync status, or multiple portals to understand what actually happened. I think user experience and policy management could also improve further. Microsoft Intune has become much better over the years, but sometimes the admin portal still feels fragmented because certain configurations open in different sections or redirect to older interfaces. For new admins, especially, it can take time to understand where everything is located. Another thing is policy conflict handling. In larger organizations, multiple device policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles can overlap. When conflicts happen, the visibility is not always very clear, so admins spend time figuring out which policy actually won or caused the issue.

Cloud automation has improved development efficiency and supports secure MFA and SSO
The best features in Google Cloud Identity are their cloud, their VMs, and their cloud VMs, which are too good compared to OCI. Using Google Cloud Identity is beneficial in terms of finance as we are always doing automation and AI, and it is definitely the best. I use multi-factor authentication with Google Cloud Identity. Regarding how Google Cloud Identity helps to improve security, I can say that security is something everyone is using. I do not feel any different. After this, everything will be JWT token and all things we are using. I do not feel any difference in there. I have used the SSO feature, single sign-on, with Google Cloud Identity. In a few words, how Google Cloud Identity affected user management within my organization is that it is not done for my organization but for one of my clients only. I already have the ADs there, but still, it is the best. I think the reporting tools of Google Cloud Identity are good. I cannot comment on these kinds of things for this particular product.

Automation has reduced repetitive endpoint maintenance and keeps our educational devices compliant
Every software has some drawbacks and cons. For Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management, I think the first improvement I would suggest is to simplify initial configuration. The process to make endpoint enrollment, device grouping, and configuration easier, particularly for organizations managing different categories of devices, would be helpful. If the initial configuration is simplified, better workflows for shared computers, labs, faculty workstations, and administrative devices would make it easier to apply different software and security policies without duplicating configuration. For my work, I would suggest one improvement that would make my experience with Ivanti smoother than before. I would want Ivanti to clearly explain the root cause when something fails, such as when a patch deployment or automated remediation fails. It shows the error code, but when we are doing a lot of work, it kind of makes a lot of hassle to read the documentation or ask an AI what kind of error it is facing. My recommendation here is to show the issue, show the full explanation of how it is working, where it failed, and show whether the issue can be safely resolved automatically without needing a third party. I think it needs a lot of improvement. First of all, centralized management and scalability can be improved, particularly the ability to manage endpoint configuration, which would be more helpful for my field of work. Regarding scalability, centralized deployment and policy enforcement can help maintain consistency across larger device fleets without configuring every endpoint individually. I think another improvement would be detailed failure diagnostics, flexible maintenance scheduling, controlled policy rollouts, and clearer reporting on whether the fix will cause any issues.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"In terms of technical support, you will get an immediate response."
"Microsoft integrated BitLocker and Active Directory into Intune, simplifying management."
"While I don't think you can ever have full visibility and control, Intune certainly allows us to see the applications being used and tells us if things like Windows patches aren't applied to machines. It does a good job. That visibility makes life a little easier."
"I can control applications, and I can secure applications by using the MAM policy, which is very effective and very helpful in protecting our users' data on mobile devices such as iPhones and Android phones."
"The Asset Management and Auto Pilot are valuable features."
"When comparing these two products, I prefer Intune."
"The ability to manage devices with different sets of policies is most valuable."
"Comparing this to having an endpoint management solution, the efficiency gain may be up to 80%."
"Everything is relatively good and overall, the product itself is good."
"The Cloud Identity is well advanced in terms of features, applications, and the components that it is offering."
"I think the first thing that is great is that it gives you a lot of features, like login, and then vaulted passwords and secure LDAP, and it becomes easier for the end customer to leverage all those features without going to a higher SKU of G Suite."
"The most valuable feature is the performance."
"The main control page and the ability to manage all our users from a web-based portal are the most valuable aspects of the solution. That's particularly useful because we're a heterogeneous network."
"Google is always on its own, and Google Cloud Identity is pretty good on every point."
"The most beneficial feature for enhancing security is context-aware access."
"It's easy to set up."
"The best features Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management offers are the integration it provides with our Apple Business Manager."
"AI-powered automation and self-healing are additional features that automatically fix common issues and reduce manual work."
"Ivanti's unified platform for IT and security operations helps streamline processes, especially because the manual intervention of having to constantly monitor, update, and maintain endpoints and applications has significantly reduced by leveraging Ivanti Neurons for UEM."
"The most valuable feature is that everything is in one place, which makes it easy to manage."
"Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management is user-friendly and comfortable to use for ticketing."
"Ivanti Neurons for UEM has positively impacted my organization by enabling faster patch deployment, quicker identification of non-compliant devices, and less time spent on manual endpoint administration."
"A very interesting feature created by our vendor is that we can retrieve specific information from our endpoints using a filter that they've set up and saved as a standard, which is very good because we can get specific information to update during the day."
"It is very easy to use, as well as extremely efficient and accurate."

Cons

"I cannot think of any particular features which I consider to be most valuable."
"The difficulty of the the roll out is surprisingly difficult considering this product is supposed to be an integrated part of the 365 suite."
"An area for improvement is the absence of seamless integration, particularly with external dashboards."
"It's the granularity: 'Is your firewall on? Is BitLocker on?' It's not amazing granularity. But I've looked into other products, like Duo, and they're all similar."
"Improvements are needed in Microsoft Intune's enterprise app management, including support for more applications in app patching, boot batching, and discovery. I also hope the cost of Remote Help will decrease because it's a much-needed Intune function. Our customers need that capability, or they will buy it from a third party at a premium."
"If we could remote into a device, it would be great. Currently, we cannot directly connect to the user device. We have to use other tools such as VMware for connecting to devices."
"Microsoft support was not very responsive, and it took approximately one and a half months to get on a call to clear what the problem was."
"There is room for improvement in integrating additional features such as Purview and SharePoint activities into Intune."
"In the next release, I would like to see integration with different systems, mainly wireless SIEMS and other analytical systems that we want to introduce."
"The management of external users needs to be introduced in the tool as it is an area of concern in the tool presently."
"Mobile device management could be improved. Through Google Cloud Identity, we can manage Android applications and have control over iOS devices, but container functionality is missing."
"Pricing is something that can be improved."
"We cannot manage the attributes of SSPR."
"For Google Cloud Identity, there will be a recurring cost. There is no ROI."
"The solution's storage capacity could be increased."
"When referring to the help articles I found them not helpful. Support themselves understood my query but the resolution was not satisfactory."
"Customer support for Ivanti Neurons is good. I would not say it is great, but it is certainly good."
"Ivanti Neurons Patch for Intune needs to improve stability. We had issues with patching."
"It's a difficult configuration because you need to install many servers in a location, and you have to install the primary server in the main location."
"The integration between the MobileIron and Advanced Neurons isn't completely in sync, and we're still working on that."
"Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management can be improved by ensuring it runs a little more smoothly. It should not lag every single time I have to open a window, and it should not take so much time to load a lot of data."
"We would like the initial setup to be simpler."
"An improvement Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management needs is a dashboard that shows which devices are not in sync or a proper dashboard that displays all telemetries related to machines with high CPU, RAM, missing patches, or those needing attention, or a health check."
"I tried to be a partner of Ivanti and, from this vantage point, the quotes are, perhaps, a bit high."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its licensing model is not complex, but it is very expensive compared to other solutions. They can bring more models and reduce the pricing. They should allow customers to select the features they want and price it accordingly."
"The licensing is on a yearly basis."
"The licensing costs we leave up to the customer and these vary from one to another."
"My team members bundled it together with their Microsoft solutions, including Microsoft 365 and related products."
"Intune is available as an individual product, but it also comes with Office 365 Premium or an Enterprise license, and the price varies for each version."
"There is a license needed to use the solution and we are on an annual license."
"It is average. Some of the costs are quite high depending on what the customer currently uses, but overall, it is not bad. I would not say that I would not recommend Intune based on the cost. I definitely would, but they can definitely improve on the cost. So overall, its cost is not bad."
"The price could be better."
"When I worked on Cloud Identity, they offered a free or enterprise version. You can synchronize and create up to 100 user identities in the free version. After that, you have to purchase a business or enterprise license. In that model, you'll be charged based on the number of users."
"We probably spend about $50,000 a year on licensing."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
"The product is billed on a monthly basis depending on the number of users."
"The pricing is a bit expensive."
"The solution is not expensive."
"I rate the product price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"The license can get expensive if you have a lot of nodes."
"The solution is affordable."
"The price of MobileIron UEM is very good."
"For the one that works with SCCM, it is relatively inexpensive at $8 USD per node, yearly. The standalone product has two versions; the one that patches servers is about $45 USD annually and the version that patches workstations is about half that price at $22 USD."
"My impression is that MobileIron is very expensive."
"While the price is a bit high, it may be equitable with the features one gets with the product, such as that involving the interface."
"The solution is expensive compared to other products."
