Recording and transcription enhance global client meetings
Google Hangouts sometimes consumes significant resources. When comparing it to WhatsApp on desktop for calls, there are instances when Google Hangouts freezes or stops working, but switching to WhatsApp runs smoothly. This might be related to the resources Google Hangouts requires. The service occasionally experiences lag issues where the image gets frozen or the voice transmission becomes interrupted. When these issues occur, possibly due to internet connectivity or other factors, WhatsApp continues to function properly while Google Hangouts does not perform well.

Have streamlined daily workflow and task management but still face inconvenience from recent interface changes and limited integration options
There are challenges and issues in Microsoft Teams, such as after recent updates where group chats were combined with Teams, chats, and groups into one. Users have to work with settings to make it normal again so Teams are separated from chats, and that was a really inconvenient update. Many users ask me to help make it back again to separate Teams and groups from one-to-one chats. That's probably the worst update they've made recently. Additionally, there are some minor features, such as when I work with messages, I don't have an actual forward or quote option when replying to someone's message. I need to be careful not to miss the quote sign. For a lot of people, they are confused about where the quotes option is. I've received a couple of hundred support tickets just regarding this issue. The function to share email to Teams chat doesn't work sometimes due to our compliance policies, and sometimes it would be nice to be able to forward an email to the group chat and have further discussions. Microsoft Teams could improve by being less glitchy because it glitches a lot, leading to undelivered emails and undelivered messages. It would be beneficial if the MS application Shifts, which adds functionality to groups, could be integrated into the groups calendar. Currently, many teams don't use the app because it is not integrated with the general calendar or the Outlook calendar, making it basically a useless application. The platform needs less Copilot and more people. The general Copilot integration into the platform is less glitchy, but Microsoft Teams is quite heavy and glitchy sometimes. Stability depends a lot on compliance restrictions, policies, and quality of internet. Sometimes, when updates are enrolling, the platform glitches, breaks, or shuts down.

"The video call feature is the most valuable."

"The interface is simple and not complex."
"Google Hangouts is easy to use and has good performance."

"It's easy to share information and upload and download files on Microsoft Teams."

"It's great for meeting conferences."

Cons

"Maybe they should offer more security features."
"I would like to see more focus on features for interacting with the participants in a group chat, such as screen sharing."
"The scalability has room for improvement."
"Google will not have two identical chat platforms. Google Chat is always a winner because it is compatible with my device."
"The platform's screen-sharing feature and the participant panel could be improved."
"There is no delete option for messages which could be an added feature in a future release."
"I would like for the platform to have a call recording feature in the free version."
"It would be ideal if they could include in the offering a virtual whiteboard for users when they are running meetings."
"Microsoft Teams does not have any features that Zoom, Skype, or Webex don't already have."
"With respect to security, there needs to be more work done. I was surprised, for example, yesterday, when my daughter was able to use my Microsoft Teams interface for her schoolwork. I was surprised that they could do that, because I believe it was only for my own personal use."
"I have had concerns with login and resource consumption using Microsoft Teams, I would consider Zoom or Cisco WebEx as better solutions."
"The chat option in the Teams tab is not very helpful. We don't use it very often. There is also an expiration on the recordings. It would be useful to not have a time limit."
"The solution's security features could be improved."
"We encountered occasional outages, which occurred a couple of times last year while using the product."
"The tool has two versions: the desktop application installed on the computer and the web-based version. There are some differences between the two. For example, from the browser, you can pin it on the taskbar without installing the application, similar to Google Chat. You can also use the installed desktop application you download from the web."
"The UI can be further improved upon. With Teams, when you use it, it occupies your full screen just like if you were in Word or Excel."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Google Hangouts has reasonable pricing, but I don't use the paid version because I only have a small budget, though you get more features from the paid version."
"We are using the free version of Google Hangouts."
"We are a small team and a small organization such as ours just uses the free version of Google, so there's no cost associated with Google Hangouts at the moment."
"For individual use, there's no license requirement as such. For storage or some other purposes, if I go beyond 15 GB, then I need to buy something."
"We access the solution through Google Workspace. It is inexpensive to use."
"I think there is a need for payment for licensing, but as students, we didn't have to pay for it when we were using it. Our professors were the ones paying for it since they needed to record the sessions."
"This solution is available for free with the opening of a Google account."
"I don't need to buy Google Hangouts separately because it comes free with Google Workspace, and it is also available for my personal Gmail ID."
"I rate Microsoft Teams an eight out of ten for its pricing."
"If you have clients who do not have a computer and are joining with their phones it's an additional fee of $5.00 per user."
"I would rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
"The tool is cheaper than Google Meet. I rate it a three out of four."
"I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten. Its pricing is fixed."
"The solution is priced high."
"The solution's cost is high."
"We are using the free version of the solutions."
