We like setting up automatic notifications to different chat rooms. It talks directly to other Atlasssian products.
The basic version is free to use. We also like setting up automatic notifications to different chat rooms. It is easy to set up new rooms and invite new users. Emoticons are fun and the mobile app is great too Our entire organization uses this as our default messaging app, not just our software…

Threaded collaboration has transformed how our team tracks tickets and monitors automation updates
One suggestion I would make for improving Slack Business - Enterprise is the support of multimedia such as images and videos that we can easily share through Slack. That would be great. Additionally, another thing is AI integration; if Slack has some AI capabilities to get insights about conversations or summarization, that would be a great feature. If Slack has an AI feature that can summarize a particular Slack thread and provide a summary of that, that would be a great feature for us. I would rate it a ten if it comes with some AI features, particularly using generative AI to produce summarization and other kinds of insights from communication in a more secure, data-secure way.

Pros

"I would strongly recommend this product."
"It is a communicator for partners and clients."
"If your organization is struggling with team collaboration and never ending email chains, HipChat is the perfect solution for your problems."
"Our entire organization uses this as our default messaging app, not just our software engineering teams."
"Real time chat organized into channels with archival and search capabilities was a complete game changer for how I work."
"We communicate with teammates instantly within the channel, which helps us to be productive."
"Technical support is excellent."
"Slack Business - Enterprise has had a positive impact on our organization with better communication, provides faster response times, fewer emails, and has helped create a more agile company."
"Slack is a very stable product."
"Nowadays, we don't need to visit an HR portal. Our marketing and human resources teams directly share details about birthdays, upcoming events, and important dates in Slack. Whether it's a training event, a company-wide gathering, or a social event, all the information is shared there. This keeps us all updated."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the search functionality, which I can use to search for full text."
"Slack helps us keep the conversation focused and avoid multiple threads that create more confusion. I would say that has been the biggest advantage for us."
"In the cases where it fits best with the team, Slack can be a replacement and enhancement to collaboration, increased productivity, and reduced clutter in email."
"It is a great product and the mobile app is a big plus."

Cons

"There was some problem with the company firewall. It was not stable in some versions."
"Currently, one email ID is linked to one HipChat cloud group."
"I would like HipChat to be more stable. It crashes pretty often on Windows OS."
"Third-party integrations are continuing to grow, which is good, but sometimes the integration is rocky and not very usable."
"Occasionally, there were stability issues with uploads and downloads."
"We were actually evaluating a move from HipChat to Slack at my last job out of frustration related to repeated downtime with the service."
"The tool should be able to fetch a conversation when we search for it even if it is in the thread."
"Tried to find information about advance settings for notifications, but did not find what I was looking for."
"The UI could be a little bit better."
"Everything has room for improvement, so I think Slack could add additional features without making the solution slower or more difficult to use."
"Now I have set it to start automatically, but before that when I was launching manually, there was a strange way to log in, not like just clicking on an icon and being instantly locked."
"Slack's screen sharing might also add the remote control feature, which is not there."
"There is some lag at times."
"The solution should have less frequent updates."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"We use the free version that does not have a license."
"It's on the more expensive side."
"The pricing can range up to about twenty bucks a user. You can spend a lot of money, especially if you're talking about thousands of users. Generally speaking, Slack is less expensive than Teams. Slack doesn't include all the bells and whistles that Teams does. So you can go from a $6 license in Microsoft 365 to a $50 license per user per month, and there's a lot more you can do in the $50 license."
"The tool's pricing could be cheaper."
"The solution is cheap in my country."
"Slack is definitely worth the money."
"When it comes to pricing, it is on the expensive side."
"I would rate the tool's pricing a four out of ten."
