We are using Fortinet FortiGate Cloud as a firewall.

The most valuable features of Fortinet FortiGate Cloud are the IPS, SSL Wireless, and VPN. Additionally, packet inspection and point-to-point VPN application control are useful.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud could improve the dashboards.

I have been using Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for approximately two years.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is a stable solution for users.

We have approximately 225 users using this solution.

Whenever we faced problems our vendors who are supporting Fortinet FortiGate Cloud have raised a ticket on our behalf. We never needed to go to Fortinet because whatever problem we face, our team or our vendor, they were capable of handling it for us.

The initial installation is straightforward. The time it takes for the implementation depends if you start building from scratch or not. However, it takes a maximum of two hours using two people, this includes the configuration, OS upgrades, and FCL configuration.

We used managed services and had a partner implement the solution. We have one system engineer that does the maintenance and support of Fortinet FortiGate Cloud.

The price of Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is reasonable when compared to Juniper and others, we are happy. We have a three-year subscription.

I would recommend this solution to others.

I rate Fortinet FortiGate Cloud a nine out of ten.

The GUI interface is good.

The basic features are well-documented.

The installation is very simple. 

We have found the solution to be scalable. 

The stability is okay.

The support is not very good and is something they need to work on. I do not find them to be very helpful.

As with any IT vendor, there are software issues.

I've been using the solution for more than ten years. It's been over a decade at this point. I have used it for quite a while. 

The overall operation is pretty good. That said, the solution isn't completely stable. There's not a lot of bugs, and yet, there are bugs. Sometimes Fortinet says they will not fix a bug in a certain version as they considered it non-essential, however, for a user, it's a different story.

The scalability is good, and if a company needs to expand it, it can do so. It's not a problem.

Technical support is not the greatest. L1 support works exclusively by script, sometimes not even looking at the case to see that the info they subsequently request is already included in the initial info provided when the case was opened. There seems to be no effort at all to reproduce customer issues. They aren't supporting, and sometimes they won't fix certain things, like bugs, as, to them, they do not consider the fix something essential.

The initial setup is not overly complex or difficult. It's pretty straightforward and simple. 

We are just a customer and an end-user. We are not a partner and don't have a business relationship with Fortinet. 

We have quite a mix of deployments. We have some FortiGates deployed in Azure, we have some FortiGates that are hardware only, and then we have some FortiGates that are on EFX or vSphere.

I would recommend the solution to other users and companies. 

I'd rate the product at a seven out of ten. mostly due to the lackluster support on offer. 

Our primary use case revolves around network security management. 

The platform's security features stand out as particularly valuable, offering a level of robustness that surpasses many other firewall solutions in the market.

The improvements in pricing could make the product more accessible to a broader range of clients. Additionally, enhancing threat intelligence capabilities could further elevate its effectiveness.

We've been utilizing FortiGate Cloud for a couple of years now.

Our experience suggests that FortiGate Cloud scales effectively, accommodating around 20 to 24 clients seamlessly.

In addition to FortiGate Cloud, we leverage other solutions like Palo Alto, Zoho, and Sophos, tailoring our choices to fit each client's specific needs and budget constraints.

The initial setup process for vCenter is generally straightforward for our team. This ease is primarily attributed to our meticulous planning before deployment. It takes a few hours to complete depending upon specific requirements. Following deployment, we handle maintenance and troubleshooting as required. 

While pricing could be more competitive, it ultimately depends on the client's budget and specific feature requirements. It's essential to conduct a thorough evaluation to determine the best fit.

Fortinet's documentation and support are commendable, providing valuable assistance whenever challenges arise, and ensuring seamless operations.

The impact of its threat intelligence capabilities varies based on client needs and the nature of the data involved. To augment security, we sometimes integrate it with solutions like HCI.

I rate it an eight out of ten. 

I mainly use FortiGate Cloud for site-to-site VPNs, user VPNs, SD-WAN, and to help with our void deployments.

Fortigate Cloud rules out a lot of user errors.

FortiGate Cloud's most valuable feature is that it's 100% managed.

FortiGate Cloud could be improved with increased granularity for our control. In the next release, I'd like Fortinet to include integrated endpoint protection and for the user and SSL VPNs to have the same cloud protection.

I've been using FortiGate Cloud for just over a year.

FortiGate Cloud's stability is pretty good.

FortiGate Cloud's scalability is pretty good.

Fortinet's technical support has been pretty good.

The initial setup was really straightforward, and deployment took no longer than half an hour.

We used an in-house team.

There's a lot of return with FortiGate Cloud - it saves me a lot on configuration time, and there are a lot fewer headaches overall.

FortiGate Cloud was the most affordable option I knew of, but their new pricing is less of a bargain as it has fewer levels. 

I would give FortiGate Cloud a rating of eight out of ten.

It's user-friendly.

The robustness of the software could be improved.

I have been using this solution for three years.

Here and there, there will be a hardware failure, but any hardware can fail.

It's easy to scale.

It's very easy to maintain. You just go on the web, you click is there a newer software and they'll tell you yes. Then you're supposed to make a backup of your configuration file and then you download it.

It's relatively cheap.

I feel that Juniper is more solid than Fortinet.

I would rate this solution 7 out of 10.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is used primarily for network and application protection.

The most valuable features of Fortinet FortiGate Cloud are ease of use and the simplicity of maintenance and configuration. Additionally, the modularity of the solution is very easy to handle, it is convenient.

I have been using Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for one year and a half.

I have found Fortinet FortiGate Cloud to be highly stable.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is scalable.

We have approximately 1,000 users that use the solution in my organization.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud's initial configuration is very straightforward. After the deployment, it does not take more than a week to have it fully configured and in production.

We needed to do some training to be able to implement Fortinet FortiGate Cloud and after the training, we did the implementation in-house.

We are not measuring the return of investment (ROI) from a specific point of view, because we are using it in the information technology area. We are not selling services through this particular security element, we don't have that measure at this moment, but from our point of view, the ROI is fine. 

The license for Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is annual.

I rate Fortinet FortiGate Cloud an eight out of ten.

We are using Fortinet FortiGate Cloud mainly for a file server at the office, and we have some services that transfer some applications remotely. We are using the firewall to secure the connection to our offices, for the internet connection, and for the applications using the VPN connections.

We have found the most valuable features of Fortinet FortiGate Cloud are the firewall and the VPN connection manager. I am not worried about any cyber attacks, the solution is secure and I receive daily summary reports.

I have used Fortinet FortiGate Cloud within the last 12 months.

The solution has been highly reliable.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is scalable.

I rate the scalability of Fortinet FortiGate Cloud a five out of five.

We were using the solution more but since the Coronavirus and other political circumstances in Lebanon, we have downsized the company. We had approximately 25 users using the solution but it has been reduced to only three users.

I have stopped the support contract because I never used it for five years. I never faced any issue that requires support.  Any issues I had it was easy to handle myself. The solution is very reliable.

When I started my job at the company, they had a Juniper firewall, but it was out of warranty and out of contract. While researching, I found the Fortinet FortiGate Cloud, and I read some good reviews about it which were good and this is why I selected it.

For a system administrator, the initial setup is straightforward. I didn't face any issue configuring it. It was so easy. There are videos and tutorials, which helps a lot.

It took one hour for the installation at the cabinet and the wiring, approximately five hours for the full configuration for the VPN tunneling, and subnetting the IP.

I did the implementation and maintenance myself. 

The price of Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is affordable. However, lowering the price would be good for the end-users. The cost of the solution was approximately $800 per year. There are some additional features you can add in addition to the regular features.

I would advise others to purchase this solution because it's reliable and it's worth every dollar.

We use Fortinet FortiGate Cloud as a firewall to connect safely to the internet.

The IPS and firewall function is valuable in Fortinet FortiGate Cloud.

We have found that the antivirus functions are very bad in Fortinet FortiGate Cloud and we don't use the antivirus anymore. Additionally, the FortiADC has bad quality.

The solution could improve by having a Russian interface.

I have been using Fortinet FortiGate Cloud for approximately 10 years.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is a stable solution.

I have found Fortinet FortiGate Cloud to be scalable.

Our organization is not large, we have approximately 15 workers in my organization using it.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud technical support is not bad. The support is mostly very good.

The Fortinet FortiGate Cloud installation was not a problem but we have some local laws which make some restrictions for deployment cloud solutions. A lot of our customers use the premise version, not the cloud. The full deployment is not in one day, because we need to agree on a lot of details with our customers and it takes time. A typical time of the deployment can take approximately two to four weeks.

Unfortunately, we bought this solution for our main customer, and we had some problems deploying it correctly because its features didn't want to work. We have a lot of experience to install FortiGate and Fortinet solutions. However, we have faced some problems with  Fortinet mainly. 

We have a few workers that do the maintenance for the solution.

Fortinet has only an annual payment method. There is no monthly payment option.

They have only one standard license without any additional features.

We plan on using this solution in the future if our customers require it. If not then we will move to other solutions that will fit our client's needs.

Fortinet FortiGate Cloud is very useful to save logs. If you do not have hardware equipment, you may use this solution. If you don't want to implement and deploy hardware, this is a good choice.
