Encryption and fast file transfers have improved how I share critical data securely
Pros and Cons
- "My favorite feature of GoAnywhere MFT is encryption because when we use other products, files are not encrypted, and when there are critical files that we are transferring, they should be encrypted in transit and also at rest."
- "Recently, Microsoft published an article stating that GoAnywhere MFT can be attacked by ransomware, indicating there was a vulnerability in the product."
What is our primary use case?
I work as a cyber security analyst, and I use GoAnywhere MFT for file transfers. When there is any event, or when we require any logs from users, or when we need to send log files to users, I use this FTP for transferring the files. This is the basic use case for what we use GoAnywhere MFT for.
What is most valuable?
My favorite feature of GoAnywhere MFT is encryption because when we use other products, files are not encrypted. When there are critical files that we are transferring, they should be encrypted in transit and also at rest. GoAnywhere MFT provides this feature, and I think that is one of the best features it offers.
The GoFast feature of GoAnywhere MFT is definitely useful because at times, we have larger files to transmit. In my field of security, there is a use case where we need to transfer large files from large volumes. At these times, the GoFast feature is very useful because it transfers a large amount of files in less time. From a security perspective, it is very beneficial because in less time, you get more data to access.
What needs improvement?
I feel there is not a complete new feature that GoAnywhere MFT can improve on, but I think they can improve the user interface. It should be more intuitive to use, with organized options, and the console should also be centralized. If you look at the documentation of GoAnywhere MFT about the user interface, nothing more detailed is written. I think the UI should be improved.
We can also talk about security. Recently, Microsoft published an article stating that GoAnywhere MFT can be attacked by ransomware, indicating there was a vulnerability in the product. I think that can be improved by enhancing security and patching the vulnerabilities. These two areas, user interface and security, are what I think can be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for the past three to four months in my career overall.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I did not observe any downtime, instability, or performance issues with GoAnywhere MFT. Whenever I have used it and whenever I needed it, it worked fine. I think it is steady and working fine, so it is generally stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
GoAnywhere MFT can be used by medium to large enterprises. The cost factor comes into play for small enterprises wanting to work with it, but for medium to large enterprises, GoAnywhere MFT is truly scalable and can be effectively utilized.
How are customer service and support?
I did not contact technical support or customer support for GoAnywhere MFT because I did not encounter any issues.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
How was the initial setup?
The initial deployment of GoAnywhere MFT was good from a deployment perspective. I think any technical professional working on deployments or tools finds it easy. However, for a non-technical person, it might be a little difficult. Overall, it is easy to set up both on-premises and in the cloud. I do not think there is any flaw in it, and any technical professional can easily set it up.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I have used FileZilla as an alternative to GoAnywhere MFT. It is also a file transfer product, but it is not as comprehensive and not as detailed as GoAnywhere MFT. It has very limited features, but it can be counted as an alternative to GoAnywhere MFT.
What other advice do I have?
I do not know much about the pricing for GoAnywhere MFT, but I have heard from my colleague that the pricing is also somewhat high compared to other products. I think pricing could be a little lower so that small enterprises working in the field can afford it and use it. It should be more cost-effective so that all can benefit from the product.
I did not use the connectors that GoAnywhere MFT includes in the solution, so I am not able to comment much about them.
I use the Agents for automation, workflows, and systems with GoAnywhere MFT.
I have tried using the Secure Forms feature of GoAnywhere MFT, which allows end users to upload files. It is also a way of collecting data or uploading files to a user or partner and then automating the workflow.
Regarding the time it took me to deploy GoAnywhere MFT for the first time, there are steps involved in deployment, so I do not remember the overall time.
I would rate this review an 8 out of 10.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises

Empowers secure and rapid data transfer with excellent support service
Pros and Cons
- "We immediately saw the benefits of GoAnywhere MFT because it is a cloud-based solution and that is where we were lacking in transferring data in a more secure manner."
- "The cloud connectivity of GoAnywhere MFT to connect to different applications such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon, or Google Cloud could improve, as it's a little bit patchy right now."
What is our primary use case?
We mainly use GoAnywhere MFT to transfer our files over the cloud in a more secure manner. That is our primary purpose with GoAnywhere MFT. The best advantage of GoAnywhere MFT is that the files we transfer or share are encrypted, so data safety is also one of the main factors that we depend on GoAnywhere MFT for.
What is most valuable?
My favorite feature of GoAnywhere MFT is the encryption that is provided, which is very appreciable. In terms of other favorite features, I would say the triggers and the scheduling option that it provides. Also, there's a service called the FileCatalyst service in GoAnywhere MFT that allows us to send larger files in a much quicker fashion, approximately five or six times quicker than a regular file transfer, so that is also one of the cool features about GoAnywhere MFT.
We immediately saw the benefits of GoAnywhere MFT because it is a cloud-based solution and that is where we were lacking in transferring data in a more secure manner. We were struggling with that, so with GoAnywhere MFT, we were able to resolve this immediately.
What needs improvement?
The cloud connectivity of GoAnywhere MFT to connect to different applications such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon, or Google Cloud could improve, as it's a little bit patchy right now. They do provide it, which is very good, but it's a little bit patchy. Apart from that, I don't think there's anything else that they can improve.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for about a year and a half.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The initial deployment of GoAnywhere MFT was pretty straightforward and pretty easy. Since this is a cloud solution, we just had to create logins and proceed from there, so it wasn't difficult.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The GoAnywhere MFT platform hasn't crashed or experienced any issues so far; it's pretty smooth. This being a cloud solution for us depends on our internet connectivity, so it is quite stable. Only the connection with other applications that I mentioned earlier could improve, but apart from that, it's pretty stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
In terms of scalability, it's quite scalable as more and more data we keep on adding. The size of the files that we continue to transfer via GoAnywhere MFT has increased from the day we started to now.
How are customer service and support?
I have contacted the customer support of GoAnywhere MFT quite a few times.
The customer support team is very kind and polite. They're knowledgeable, as I go to them with many queries and doubts, and they don't hesitate to provide solutions. They are quick, with a response time within six to 12 hours, which is pretty good.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before using GoAnywhere MFT, I was mainly dependent on Zoho Cloud, which was not good for us. That's why we switched to GoAnywhere MFT.
How was the initial setup?
The onboarding process for GoAnywhere MFT took maybe a day or two, not more.
What about the implementation team?
For the deployment of GoAnywhere MFT, we had a team, but it's a one-person job.
What was our ROI?
On a scale from one to ten, I give a score of ten out of ten for the support of GoAnywhere MFT.
What other advice do I have?
I'm pretty clear with my experience using GoAnywhere MFT. I rate this solution as ten out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Understanding and implementing with ease, while AI chat support for quick assistance is suggested
Pros and Cons
- "I have not seen any lagging, crashing, downtime, or any sort of instability with GoAnywhere MFT."
- "What I can suggest right now about GoAnywhere MFT is the integration of AI for chat support, as I am still trying to find my way around the app."
What is our primary use case?
I am still trying to figure out my use cases for GoAnywhere MFT as I am still learning how to use it and determining the best way to utilize the software.
What needs improvement?
What I can suggest right now about GoAnywhere MFT is the integration of AI for chat support, as I am still trying to find my way around the app. I would appreciate seeing an AI assistant for GoAnywhere MFT. For a first-time user, instead of struggling to learn how to use it independently, you could ask, 'GoAnywhere MFT bot, can you help me with this? Can you help me with that? How do I do this? How do I do that?' Just quick, on-the-spot assistance.
I feel everything that is there is sufficient. I do not think there is a need to add anything. People always say there is always room for improvement, but for me, it is enough, so it does not appear that everything is clashing. I feel there is nothing to improve right now. However, as time progresses, perhaps because of innovation and new technology, they will find new things to implement. The only thing I believe they should implement is what I mentioned about the assistant, where users can ask questions and get answers immediately.
For how long have I used the solution?
I started using GoAnywhere MFT about a week ago, having seen the review, so I just registered for the review. It has not been more than a week since I began using it.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I have not seen any lagging, crashing, downtime, or any sort of instability with GoAnywhere MFT. By now I would have complained about that.
How are customer service and support?
The user interface is fine. I do not know if they have integrated any chat support or chatbot where you can ask quick questions and get answers within 24 hours. For me, the user interface is understandable; it is not something that required extensive effort to use. I am the type of person that, if I have an issue, I search on YouTube or Google or ask ChatGPT, 'How do I understand this better?' It is not difficult for me, but I feel a 24-hour chatbot would be beneficial instead of using external resources.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have never used any other alternatives to GoAnywhere MFT.
How was the initial setup?
The initial installation for GoAnywhere MFT was easy for me because I could use YouTube, so it was straightforward to follow and implement. However, not every first-time user might find it easy. For me, it was not so difficult.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Regarding GoAnywhere MFT's pricing, I think it is quite affordable since it was subscribed for me by my boss.
What other advice do I have?
The main reason behind getting GoAnywhere MFT was that it was recommended to me by my boss, so I am still trying to learn how to use it. It is software that was recommended for me to learn; to learn how to use, find out the details of the whole software, how it works, and implement it because I work as a full-stack developer.
On a scale from one to ten, with ten being the highest, I rate GoAnywhere MFT a seven. I am just a user of GoAnywhere MFT; I do not have any partnerships with them. I have no problem if the GoAnywhere MFT team wants to contact me if they have any questions about this review. I am always available and okay with being a reference for GoAnywhere MFT, which allows their marketing department to contact me later.

Automation of repetitive file transfers saves time and supports compliance
Pros and Cons
- "GoAnywhere MFT has many features that I appreciate, but most of all, it automates repetitive file transfers, so we don't have to waste our time doing them manually."
What is our primary use case?
As a DevOps specialist, I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for about six to seven months, mostly working on setting up automation for file transfer, handling integration, and monitoring secure data and exchange between our system partners.
I used GoAnywhere MFT in my last company, where there were approximately 200 to 220 employees who used this system to share files.
What is most valuable?
GoAnywhere MFT has many features that I appreciate, but most of all, it automates repetitive file transfers, so we don't have to waste our time doing them manually.
It supports many protocols, such as SFTP and FTP, which makes it easy to work with different partners.
The logging and audit trails are very detailed, which helps me and my team with compliance and troubleshooting.
The system is quite reliable. The transfers rarely fail, and if they do, we get alerts immediately, as it has the best monitoring and logging.
Since it's not difficult to deploy with the cloud, it takes around one week. It depends on the manpower and the team. Our team consists of nearly 13 people, and they are the best at their work. We approximately need one week to completely deploy it on any system.
What needs improvement?
GoAnywhere MFT is almost perfect, but I feel that the initial setup takes some effort.
It's not extremely hard, but you need to understand the product thoroughly.
The support from GoAnywhere MFT could be more helpful for new users. The deployment was straightforward but needed some planning.
These two aspects could be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
As a DevOps specialist, I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for about six to seven months, mostly working on setting up automation for file transfer, handling integration, and monitoring secure data and exchange between our system partners.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
In terms of stability, it is nearly 90% to 92% stable.
The user interface is somewhat out-of-date and feels antiquated.
It could be better, but overall, it's very stable, and there are not many issues or bugs.
I would rate the stability a seven.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Regarding scalability, it's perfect for handling large data, so it is very scalable.
We have used a lot of data to share via GoAnywhere MFT.
It also has data recovery features that are very useful in any troubleshooting.
How are customer service and support?
The support team was responsive and helpful.
They guided us thoroughly whenever we had an issue.
It's somewhat expensive compared to smaller solutions, but the features and compliance value made it worth it for our company.
I am a user, and there are head seniors who maintain the entire relationship with the vendor. I just had one or two meetings with the vendor to discuss troubleshooting problems.
How would you rate customer service and support?

What other advice do I have?
The range of connectors that GoAnywhere provides requires some planning because I basically integrate it with ERP and cloud storage such as AWS S3 and Azure, and some internal databases.
Once we set it up, the workflows run smoothly.
I would rate the technical support an eight out of ten.
In implementation, use cases and compliance need more implementation, and they should make use of automation features, as that's where you get the real value.
We also used to provide our team with basic training so they can adopt it quickly.
I would recommend GoAnywhere MFT to other users.
I would give it an eight out of ten because it's a very useful software platform to use for secure file transferring, and it's very helpful for benefiting any organization.

Managing client connections and user workflows has become more organized though handling certificates needs separation from the main interface
Pros and Cons
- "Out of all the products I have used for file transfer MFT, GoAnywhere MFT is the easiest because everything is essentially in one place."
- "The security side, particularly when dealing with keys and certificates, could be in a different suite rather than built directly into the main interface."
What is our primary use case?
Before GoAnywhere MFT, it was called Moveit. I used Moveit for one institution. I have been in the financial world for most of my MFT period. After Moveit was upgraded to GoAnywhere MFT, I used it from the front end, meaning I was the person who would take a client, trade partner, customer, and gather all the necessary requirements to make a connection, do all the UAT, create the users. I handled anything related to the front end with GoAnywhere MFT and Moveit. I have been on the administrative side, and depending on what was necessary, I worked a little bit on the back end with firewalls and similar tasks.
What is most valuable?
Out of all the products I have used for file transfer MFT, GoAnywhere MFT is the easiest because everything is essentially in one place. It is one suite where creating users, passwords, scripting, everything is consolidated. You do not have to go to different areas to find something. GoAnywhere MFT is the easiest one I have seen so far.
What needs improvement?
I have been on IBM Sterling Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, Moveit, Gentran, and five different MFT tools, and GoAnywhere MFT has the easiest interface because everything is consolidated. You do not have to go to different screens to accomplish tasks. Though it is not perfect, based on my 10 years of experience, they have the easiest interface. Regarding potential improvements, the security side, particularly when dealing with keys and certificates, could be in a different suite rather than built directly into the main interface.
For how long have I used the solution?
I used GoAnywhere MFT for about a year when I was with Tech Systems working with several banks. In total, I have used MFT products for 10 years now, primarily working with Sterling.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I have not experienced any lagging, crashing, or stability issues.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability aspects are typically handled by architects and developers. As an administrator, I work in the middle and am not directly involved with architectural decisions.
How are customer service and support?
I probably contacted technical support during the initial part of the process, but I do not specifically recall those interactions.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
What about the implementation team?
The deployment process requires a team. It is not a one-person project. I have never been involved in projects that were handled by just one person.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate GoAnywhere MFT a seven out of ten because while it is the easiest solution to use, no product is perfect.

File transfer across multiple cities becomes seamless with secure sharing options
Pros and Cons
- "The module of GoAnywhere MFT that was given to us was very simple and easy to learn."
- "The customer support is a bit slow from their end. The time lag they take to respond to our queries is more than expected, so I would give a solid seven out of ten for the customer support."
What is our primary use case?
We generally use GoAnywhere MFT to transfer all the files that we have. We are a group of 11 entities put together, so there are multiple servers that we use and multiple locations. The company is spread across 11 cities, so the transferring of files is becoming easier when we are using the MFT software.
What is most valuable?
One of the features of GoAnywhere MFT that I prefer the most is the sharing option. There are files that can be shared across the entire team members, and there are files which can be shared only with specific team members. The password protected files can be given only to a specific team member of my choice, and there are files which can be universally opened by all the team members. That is one feature which I appreciate.
Another valuable feature is the scalability of the product, which is very good. We initially started with a small amount of data, and now we have grown into it, and the large volume of data that we are transferring is very easy for us.
Since our entire company consists of around 11 entities put together, the usage case has been increasing day by day. The scalability of GoAnywhere MFT is a very good platform to scale rapidly as well.
What needs improvement?
The customer support and feedback system of GoAnywhere MFT could be improved. The customer support is a bit slow from their end. The time lag they take to respond to our queries is more than expected, so I would give a solid seven out of ten for the customer support.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using GoAnywhere MFT for one and a half months now.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
I currently do not face any downtime from GoAnywhere MFT or feel there is anything which they can do better. From my end, I will not be able to give any criticism about any of the services that they provide.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
During the time we have used GoAnywhere MFT, I have not faced any downtime or any lags regarding the transfer of files or any of the services that we have used.
How are customer service and support?
The experience with GoAnywhere MFT support could have been better and quicker from their end. Apart from that, I did not face any other issues, but the time lag they took to respond to our queries was more than expected, so I would give a solid seven out of ten for the customer support.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
The initial deployment of GoAnywhere MFT was very quick and simple. It was an easy process, not complex at all, so it was easy to understand and a very quick process.
What about the implementation team?
We are a small team of around three people who were required to implement it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We have not used any alternatives to GoAnywhere MFT; this is the first that we have used. We had an in-built solution that we were using until now, and we have just taken this option.
What other advice do I have?
The pricing of GoAnywhere MFT was a management decision that was taken. I was not involved in the pricing part of it.
The module of GoAnywhere MFT that was given to us was very simple and easy to learn. There was nothing complex about it, and the module was very self-explanatory for us, so we did not face any difficulty with the usage of the modules.
It took around five to seven working days to fully install GoAnywhere MFT.
For any new users who are opting to file their data, GoAnywhere MFT is a very good solution to try. It gives us excellent safety, and the data are encrypted. For any new users who are just looking into the market, this will be a very good product for them. The size of the data that can be shared is also very good; we can share a huge amount of data very easily, and the transferring of the data is very easy.
On a scale of 1-10, I rate GoAnywhere MFT a nine.

Good pricing model and efficient data transfers with very few resources
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable feature is customer data transfers for traditional SFTP. Some of our biggest customers are on the platform, and it works out very well for us as a big selling point."
- "On the platform side, I would like to see some improvements in the dashboarding and telemetry data."
What is our primary use case?
We use it for data transfer with certain software vendors and partners. We also use it for back-and-forth customer data transfers for deposits. We also send data back to our customers for statements and reconciliation. We use it for system-to-system integration internally and we also use their secure upload feature for secure file sharing between teams and customers. We use it for just about every use case available.
It has been a couple of years since we started doing data transfer directly with our customers. We started with system integration, so we were just moving data back and forth between us and our software vendors. We stepped into the customer side of it in the last six years or so.
How has it helped my organization?
We use SecureForms for things like mortgage closings and secure document uploads from customers who have loans in progress. We also use it for internal operations for data handoffs between teams to securely send files. We do an encryption layer on top of that, so it works very well for us in sending data back and forth all over the company.
GoAnywhere MFT has saved us time in connecting securely with third parties for different resources. We can typically get set up with a new vendor after getting through security protocols in about two days. It works pretty well for us.
It probably saves us anywhere from four to eight hours a month in operations. We onboard new platforms once or twice a quarter. For customers, we upload the data to them versus them downloading from us. It is the same thing. We do five or six of those per month. It works out pretty well. It allows us to set things up, and if we have to make a tweak, it is quick. For example, if a customer makes a change, it is a matter of quick config change rather than us spending hours refactoring code to handle that. It works pretty well. We get four to eight hours per month of time savings as compared to other platforms.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is customer data transfers for traditional SFTP. Some of our biggest customers are on the platform, and it works out very well for us as a big selling point.
What needs improvement?
On the platform side, I would like to see some improvements in the dashboarding and telemetry data. We take a lot of that data today, and we end up writing some custom dashboards so that we can run the day to day operations. We are sending and receiving millions of dollars a day, and for us, the dashboards are a bit lacking. It works great if you have one job that needs to run successfully. However, depending on how you build it, there may be dependencies that fail, and you may need to do certain alerting to teams and things of that nature. What we are looking at right now is potentially rebuilding our dashboard a second time to improve it a little bit further based on the operations of the team. We would love to see some improvements there. That is one area where they could improve. Everything else is the best of the business from what I have seen.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using MST for over ten years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Its stability is fine. I run architecture in addition to integration. We look at how critical applications are to our environment and our business. GoAnywhere MFT is in the top three most critical ones for us in terms of what has to run consistently and resiliency. We send and receive data all day long. GoAnywhere is, knock on wood, bulletproof for us. It works very well. In the last two years that I have run the platform, we have had one major outage, and that was something we did. It was not the platform's fault.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Its scalability has been very good. We have not run into a lot of issues with that. We just implemented clustering to preemptively get in front of that, but from a scale perspective, we never get complaints from our customers on the speed of upload or download. We consistently have 99.9% or 99.99% uptime. It works very well for us.
How are customer service and support?
Their support is good. We have a good relationship with customer support, our account manager, and the consulting arm. We leverage all three. From the last several years, we know how to do the dance and navigate support challenges. Sometimes there are things that we spend consulting hours on. If it is a bigger problem and we have a production incident and the services would not turn back on, we know that we can count on Fortra to get back to us. Normally, it takes less than a couple of hours to fix an issue, so we lean on them pretty heavily for things of that nature, and then we meet with our consulting arm every week for improvement opportunities and long-range planning-type items.
I would rate them a nine out of ten. I would give them a ten if the resolution on the first call was better. That is the only improvement area right now. With as many customers as they have, that is probably not going to happen. They cannot justify it.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
It was already in place when I got here. I have used IBM Sterling Integrator and Amazon AWS S3 in previous organizations.
IBM Sterling Integrator is closest to GoAnywhere MFT. It is a lot older. It does not have as modern architecture as GoAnywhere MFT, but it is close from an operational perspective. It basically works with everything, which is what you want in file transfer, but the management of IBM Sterling Integrator is difficult as compared to GoAnywhere MFT. With GoAnywhere MFT, once we have built a job five or six times, we can do it pretty fast. Things like clustering and high availability and the fact that it has got web components put it over the edge for us.
How was the initial setup?
We are still one of their old-school on-prem clients. We like having control.
It was already in place when I got here. We went through an upgrade and a clustering implementation last week. The engagement was very good. It was a lot faster than a lot of the other vendors we have worked with in the past. I was expecting that it would take us three months, but we got the implementation done in about a month. We had all the servers and the other things ready which saved time, but for what we were looking at doing, I thought it would take three times longer, so it was good.
From the stories I have heard of onboarding or from the secondhand information based on my talking to some of the other engineers in the past, it took us about three months to get comfortable with the solution. We onboarded another team member to the solution this year. It took him about two months of being trained by our other engineers to get the hang of it. He has never worked on file transfer before, so there were some basics that we had to get out of the way in the first few weeks.
It requires pretty routine maintenance. We do things like security patches. We take all the updates that Fortra pushes out, and then there are the occasional security tweaks or things of that nature to the platform itself. A lot of that has to do with the way we deploy it. We are in a highly regulated environment, but not all Fortra customers have to deal with that.
What was our ROI?
If I were to give a TCO number on the maintenance side, maintenance licenses are pretty competitive in the market. Our maintenance total is probably around 50,000. From an FTE perspective, managing that infrastructure requires probably half of an FTE, so our TCO for a given year is probably 100,000, which is not bad for a solution of its size and capabilities.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Its pricing is fair. It is not the most expensive, and it is not the cheapest. For what we get in our environment, the pricing model works pretty well.
With file transfer, if you were to move to an S3 pricing model where you are paying for the storage, for large organizations, that tends to be cost-prohibitive because technology is often viewed as a cost center. So, you do not have a way to offset those things unless you start charging fees. We charge a very small fee for file transfer services, but if we were to change to a platform that did pay-for-consumption instead of pay-per-seat licensing, we would have to rethink our file transfer ops for sure.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We reviewed other solutions on the market during renewals but found GoAnywhere to be the best fit for us.
What other advice do I have?
From what I have seen, other teams that run file transfer platforms for other organizations of our size normally need at least one extra FTE to manage what we do. We do it with about an FTE and a half, whereas other teams need three or four engineers. They often need one person dedicated to running the system itself, let alone building out any automation. We have one guy who does all that.
Overall, based on the other players in the market, GoAnywhere MFT is a ten out of ten for us. They have the right blend. While there are always going to be improvement areas, especially for the price, it is a slam dunk. It is hard to say to go with another solution because it is very stable.
