Reviews from Real Users
Jamf Pro stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Some of these include its app deployment, its easy installation, and the fact that it’s lightweight but powerful. PeerSpot users take note of the advantages of these features in their reviews:
An IT Support Specialist at Visby Medical writes, “The first most valuable feature I found was the ability to simply push out applications to devices, Mac or iPads/iPhones. It's as easy as procuring the licensing for the apps and then setting it to the volume purchasing back in Jamf.”
Another reviewer, a Desktop Engineer at Kroger, notes, “The self-service portal to share scripts and other tasks that have extremely minimized the need for calls to our support teams, or even sharing the applications we package and allowing users to pick and choose what apps they need or want, instead of just blanket installing everything from our old environment.”
Jamf Pro was previously known as JAMF Software Casper Suite.

Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois | 4.0 | Jamf Pro enables me to centrally manage Macs across various offices, enhancing security and support. While its self-service portal and customization features are valuable, improvements are needed in the remote support tool and UI/UX inconsistencies hamper usability. |
Director, Client Services at a tech consulting company with 11-50 employees | 4.0 | We primarily use Jamf Pro for managing Apple devices, leveraging its strong automation features like zero-touch onboarding. While it excels in product updates and security, the cost and onboarding process could be more accessible for smaller businesses. |
Product Owner at a financial services firm with 10,001+ employees | 4.5 | I use Jamf Pro to manage MacBooks and appreciate its same-day macOS support, automation capabilities, and effective patch management. While it lacks certain Apple-announced features and desktop support, it remains the gold standard compared to alternatives like Intune. |
Senior Support Specialist / Jamf Admin at a university with 1,001-5,000 employees | 5.0 | We rely on Jamf Pro for automating device setups at our university, appreciating its smart groups and community support. Although training is costly, the product significantly reduces deployment time, and its unique features outweigh the alternatives we previously considered. |
Jamf Consultant at Team Computers | 4.0 | We use Jamf Pro for internal compliance and inventory management. Its zero-touch deployment is invaluable for our remote work setup, although it lacks features like automatic deployment of specific app versions and an Identity Manager. We use Microsoft Azure for deployment. |
RECIT - Educational Technology Consultant at a legal firm with 1,001-5,000 employees | 4.5 | I use Jamf Pro to manage Apple devices, focusing on iPads in classrooms for deploying apps and updates. Its device locator and remote management are invaluable, though we've faced update issues causing app icon disappearances, which need addressing. |
Systems Engineer III Apple Devices (JAMF Engineering) at Tesco | 4.5 | I use Jamf Pro for Apple device management, software distribution, and inventory due to its simplicity and easy integration. It offers zero-touch deployment and aligns well with Apple's roadmap. We chose it over FileWave for better Mac-centric features. |
IT Systems Analyst at True Manufacturing | 5.0 | I use Jamf Pro to efficiently manage Apple devices across our global offices and factories. It offers real-time deployment and monitoring, surpassing alternatives like InTune in speed and ease. While patch management setup can be improved, I'm pleased with the switch from AirWatch. |
