Service and Support
ThoughtSpot's customer service and support receive mixed opinions. Many find the team responsive, knowledgeable, proactive, and supportive, often rating them four out of five or eight out of ten. However, some experience inadequate assistance and delayed responses, highlighting a less robust knowledge base. Despite dedicated success personnel and quick response times, there are concerns about long feature implementation processes. User ratings vary, with some rating them as low as six out of ten.
Deployment
Users experienced a straightforward initial setup with ThoughtSpot, often supported by the company’s team. Deployment involved small teams, typically not exceeding three to five members. ThoughtSpot’s compatibility with databases facilitated data integration. Maintenance required minimal effort. For some, system integrators were used, taking up to two months for complex use cases. Some challenges were noted with data integration, TML features, and security rules, but guidance from customer service proved helpful.
Scalability
ThoughtSpot is considered scalable by several users, leveraging the ThoughtSpot-Snowflake Partnership for automatic scalability. Although managing roles and security for many users can be complex, some successfully utilize it with large numbers of users. Scaling does not pose technical issues but governance can be challenging. Flexibility is noted, though some prefer other tools for advanced features. Scalability is partly dependent on contract terms, and ThoughtSpot receives a rating of eight out of ten for scalability.
Stability
ThoughtSpot exhibits strong stability for most users, with smooth upgrades and no crashes. However, some encounter delays when indexing changes, taking up to 24 hours. Issues also arise with resizing tasks or missing features requiring workarounds, leading to performance drops. While largely reliable and capable of handling large datasets quickly, occasional integration challenges occur. Stability ratings are generally high, yet some users experience resource-intensive problems affecting efficiency.
