All steps that we want to automate can be recorded and directly transferred as a sequence into UiPath

What is our primary use case?

I'm working in a consulting company as an RPA developer. We have some projects with clients connected with automations. That is my primary case of using this solution daily.

How has it helped my organization?

We help our clients to improve their businesses, reduce costs, for example, hiring new people to automate repetitive work, to be able to run a process when the need arises 24/7.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features for me in UiPath is the ability to use more than one programming language. We can, of course, drag and drop activities, but it's also possible to run our own code/macro. The second thing which I like the most is the recording ability, all steps which we want to automate can be recorded and directly transferred as a sequence into UiPath.

What needs improvement?

  • I think it would be good to add more activities regarding operations on data tables.
  • The product definitely should be improved in the case of throwing more accurate description of exceptions.

One to three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Good in my opinion, we have a lot of possibilities, so it's up to us what we decided to use. We can use state machine which works perfectly or in some small processes choose sequence.

How are customer service and support?

Very good, a very well-developed UiPath forum having a lot of helpful guys. The maximum waiting time for a response is around two days.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I use both tools for automation: Blue Prism and UiPath. The current project runs in UiPath.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I have no idea about pricing, cost, and license.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for future UiPath users is to get familiarized with all documents and online courses provided by UiPath because it's very valuable knowledge.

Automation has not only reduced processing time but also eliminated human errors

What is our primary use case?

We are automating all transaction-based processes, primarily in the finance department and sales operations. With this, the personnel involved in these transaction-based activities have been able to start working on more value-added tasks like data analysis and performance management of the operation.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath automation has enabled different organizations with the possibility to redeploy personnel involved in transaction-based activities to do more value-added tasks like data analysis and performance management of the operation.

This automation has not only reduced processing time but also eliminated human errors, driving an improvement in quality scores and CTQs.

What is most valuable?

Development is straightforward and simple; it uses object-oriented coding by doing drag and drop. The deployment process is quick and easy with great features for testing and troubleshooting.

Reusable components library is an excellent source of information and content to ease and speed up the development process. This feature, combined with a robust infrastructure creates an excellent foundation for driving automation to the next level.

What needs improvement?

Engagement during the proof of concept period could have been better in regards to the implementation and follow-up. Also, after completing the PoC, we should have done a review of the critical learning and aspects of the application to determine the next steps based on the objectives of the company.

For how long have I used the solution?

Three to five years.

In my experience, the technologies that are supported by an active community, are those ones destined to succeed. This is clearly a great feature that the UiPath Studio platform has. Having an online Orchestrator instance for training purposes is great also.

Enabled us to replace human workers doing labor-intensive, repetitive tasks and focus them on more difficult ones

What is our primary use case?

It's really easy to learn. We have been able to automate some of the tasks we do here in the company. We can replace human workers doing labor-intensive repetitive tasks, and focus them on other more difficult ones — no need to spend money on training new people, hiring, etc. Just as we built the bot, it will do it all on its own.

How has it helped my organization?

Our company is focusing on the healthcare industry. We billed forms to the insurance companies, and we have to receive the payments and update their respective patient. We work with denials, exceptions, explanations of benefits. We also get information that needs to be updated in the system. Sadly, all this is inside a "Citrix environment," so we are a little slow at the time of developing our bots. But we know that this will bring great benefits to our company in the near future.

What is most valuable?

  • UiPath has been of great help when planning on reducing cost in our production.
  • Improvement in quality, as the bot is more accurate
  • No need to spend money on training new people, hiring, etc.

What needs improvement?

The abrupt updates have been an issue for me at the time of developing my bots. I've been getting errors every time an update is made, slowing my developments and automation. It will be good if they could start sending an email to the users letting them know about future coming updates so they can be prepared.

Also, having up-to-date training material would be really awesome, we have found that some documents inside the Academy are pretty old (maybe 2 yrs already?) So it would be awesome if they could have those up to date.

For how long have I used the solution?

Less than one year.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Setting Uipath is really easy and they have a LOT of training information in their Academy, so no way you will get lost

Pricing, a little bit expensive but it will be worth it at the end, as you will ended up reducing human for the bots

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

The other options we looked at were Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism. But comparing pricing, ease of used, and training Materials we believed that Uipath was our best option.
