What is our primary use case?
We use it to automate our insurance-related or policy-related projects in a BizFlow area. And, like, mostly, we are using it for workflow automation.
Like, our UI is another thing; we figure it out on a code basis, totally. But to automate the process, we are using BizFlow. So, it is mainly for workflow automation.
What is most valuable?
There are so many advantages. First things, like we have a seamless automation capability available here in BizFlow. Totally customizable, UI we can create, and the third-party integration is also achievable. Not with the in-built functionality, but with custom code and all, we can achieve that thing also.
And to control a project, from the control management, that is very user-friendly in terms of development. So those are beneficial for us.
What needs improvement?
Nintex provided an in-built functionality. Like integration-related things, so many service types are available. You just have to configure it. So, such kinds of things decrease the timing of development. So, it is missing in Bizflow.
Also, there are some limitations. All the workflow-related limitations, like the number of workflows you can run or the number of instances you can run, are limited in BizFlow.
Also, in BizFlow, the UI capability is limited. You can create your own UI via inbuilt functionality in other tools.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using this solution for more than seven years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would rate the stability a seven out of ten because other tools in the market have extra capabilities that BizFlow doesn't have yet. They have some built-in capabilities and AI features, and everyone is thinking about how to implement AI in their area.
I haven't seen any updates from BizFlow on this, but they might plan to implement it soon. However, we don't have this capability right now. This could be one reason why people might move from BizFlow to another tool.
For example, with Nintex, we can integrate Google Cloud and achieve some functionality from Google Cloud as well. IBM also introduced some free tests in their DPM services with AI. These are good things in the market right now.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I would rate the scalability a nine out of ten.
The complete organization is using it. So many processes are using it, whatever we are developing. So, it's used by every department in my company.
Like, there are a lot of departments available with the policy. So, BizFlow is part of our everyday operation.
We have a very small team for development in India only, around 100 people. This doesn't include the main components. These 100 people are fully responsible for development, maintenance, support, and deployment. We don't have any additional teams. In the US, my company has a dedicated team for each task.
We train our people for development and infrastructure support.
How are customer service and support?
We have a dedicated person allocated from BizFlow. We get traffic-free support whenever we need it.
It's not an urgent-based support. We have sufficient time to get any issue resolved or understand any new features. We also have to schedule a call, and we always receive a proper solution from the BizFlow side.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
In my current organization, we are utilizing both services, like BizFlow and Nintex.
I am familiar with Microsoft products. We also use Power Automate and Power Apps, but not for VPN. We use them in other areas and technologies, but the main domain of my organization is insurance, and we only use BizFlow. Apart from that, we also heavily utilize Power BI.
How was the initial setup?
We started deploying this on the cloud this year. We migrated it to the cloud last month.
We also have to consider our projects, their functionality, and their feasibility. We have more than 20 projects, all of which are very large. So, it took us around six to seven months to migrate.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Pricing is a main concern for any organization, but some big organizations may find it affordable. For example, in Indian currency, it would be around 1,000 per license for a BizFlow license.
Whereas, Nintex is around INR 200 per license in India which is much cheaper. Smaller organizations are always looking for cost-effective solutions, and Nintex provides local solutions with very low pricing. This is one of the main reasons why people are more interested in Nintex.
What other advice do I have?
If you want to work in a low-code solution, then I would suggest Nintex Process Platform. But if you really want to customize on a very high level and use hard code, then BizFlow is the best tool in a VPN service.
Overall, I would rate BizFlow an eight out of ten. I've been working in this organization for the past six years, and I'm quite familiar with this type of BPM development. I haven't encountered any major issues with BizFlow. I always feel like I can achieve my goals with it.
The only thing missing from my perspective is that BizFlow is not moving forward with the times. Currently, everyone is trying to introduce AI features, and BizFlow is not keeping up.
