Celonis works with Camunda to identify any issues or loopholes in the process.
It is used for loans and online credit, and it was more theoretical, based on data, and not real in other circumstances.
Celonis works with Camunda to identify any issues or loopholes in the process.

In my opinion, it's quite an advanced tool.
The pricing policy is not affordable in Ukraine. For example, in Kazakhstan, we have some negotiations with Azerbaijan country. Telecom is one of the biggest telecom companies in Kazakhstan, but this was a little bit expensive for them.
Now, I think they decided to postpone it because of the price policy.
We could start several projects, and we already have clients that are interested, but the only concern was pricing.
You only need processes to return the money. You need process, you already have the process, but say you need to return $50,000 or $100,000 every month.
However, in the areas where we work, meeting such a high standard is quite challenging.
For example, online loans. It's most likely an interesting case. However, with others, such as finances, some efficient method to make it efficient and return on money is rather challenging. Make it more than efficient.
I have been working with Celonis for one year.
We began communicating with our manager in Celonis. We were provided with presentations on how it works and practical experience with some processes.
Celonis is a stable solution.
Celonis is a scalable solution.
We tried using telecom data, but it didn't work very well. One of the biggest is undoubtedly telecom, but necessarily the biggest.
They have the largest data warehouses and the largest amounts of customer information, data, or metadata.
It works even though it doesn't map. Work it is. If telecom is involved in a large country, any issues might likely be resolved via other businesses.
We have three developers who are working with Celonis.
We had expectations of of growing, but, we decided to postpone these projects or end our relationship with Celonis if the pricing and model are no longer affordable.
It really changed three or four months ago. And it's no longer a low price.
I have not contacted technical support. My colleagues have, but I don't have any feedback from them.
I work for an integration company. It is an IT firm in Ukraine, and we are now considering becoming a partner with MaintainX. And we've worked with Bizagi previously, before the conflict.
We are going public with Bizagi, but our clients have postponed these actions for various reasons.
Now we are thinking about Nintex or Nintex K2, whether it's an on-premises, off-premises, or cloud solution.
I don't have much experience as a project manager with One Bank working with Camunda, but I'm not sure if Camunda is a suitable choice for us to partner in Ukraine or another country, because we're currently concentrating on countries other than Ukraine, such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Romania.
We have projects in the Benelux countries. And clients frequently inquire about BPM solutions, and we have a process with Nintex.
K2, as you are aware, is comparable to Nintex, however, it is an on-premise solution.
I have experience in Camunda yes, as the head of the project management office. I'm not responsible directly, but mainly about choosing a solution or choosing the partnership.
Before I was focusing on development. A solution for the bank in Ukraine.
We are a partner with UiPath.
Now, we have focused on more ERP. Process management is on pause now.
Now, we start to think about VPN solutions to add to our portfolio, for the clients.
I am familiar with UiPath Process Mining. I don't have a lot of experience with it, just in a few projects. However, I have received feedback from developers.
When compared to Celonis, it has very basic functions.
The initial setup is not an issue. I am the head of the PMO. I am not personally responsible for it or using its use, but from what I know from my colleagues it was not difficult.
It already has connections, and it could be integrated with various databases, or from Excel to SAP and others; it works well with this.
We completed the deployment ourselves. We have developers, and for us, it is part of our daily work.
We already have a Celonis account that we can use to demonstrate to clients. We could use it in some circumstances, but because we are partners and have a partnership with Celonis, we could use it for free.
We looked into the possibility of using UiPath Process Mining, but from my point of view, or from our discussion, which was around a year ago, it's not adequate for companies like telecom or banks.
It is a matter of connectivity. And while we are completely satisfied with UiPath as an ERP solution, I remember that process mining was not as advanced or as good as we thought.
For complex users, such as our client, it was most important how easy it is to understand the process, how the graphs are clear for them, how they can adjust it, and how many have your products, such as EMC.
For example, suppose you intend to optimize a process. Celonis is far better in this instance.
I would recommend this solution to others who are interested in using it.
It's also quite simple to use, which is a great benefit. It's also a no-code or low-code option. Some other solutions chose to be no code or minimal code, but they were not.
The downside is, of course, the pricing. It is only affordable for large or public companies.
For usability and how it works, I would rate it a nine, but because of the pricing, I would rate Celonis an eight out of ten.
I'm an artificial intelligence developer and a user of Celonis.
The process chart is valuable as it gives you the flow of the entire process. It was quite helpful in identifying the bottlenecks and everything related to the process.
I'd like to see a couple of algorithms that can better identify the bottlenecks and provide a better view of those bottlenecks. That's a futuristic approach on this tool.
We carried out a POC on Celonis for four months.
The solution is stable.
I was the only person in the company testing the solution and we didn't attempt to scale.
I worked through the training sessions and didn't require assistance from customer support.
The initial setup was fine. It was taken care of by the IT team and I'm not aware of any issues.
We were using a POC license so we did not get to the point of checking licensing costs.
I also tried using UiPath but I found Celonis was better because it provided greater accuracy. At the time UiPath did not have great handout documentation available. I found Celonis to be a good software.
I would recommend this product for companies that have connectors available in Celonis, because Celonis is more of a data application. On a POC scale, I rate this solution eight out of 10.
We are currently using this solution for our P2P and O2C processes, as well as for the audit and conformance functions that the product provides.
The analyst role within this solution is very good; it provides a transaction dashboard, and KPI module, that are completely customizable.
We would like this solution to be more flexible in how it interacts with other cloud-based database solutions, so that we can operate more seamlessly.
We would also like the data compression element of the solution to be improved. This would allow us to be more efficient with our data storage.
We have found the solution to be stable.
We have found that the solution is only scalable if an organization runs particular types of software.
We have found the customer support to be very good.
The initial setup was straightforward, but the deployment took 14 weeks from end to end due to the extent of our integration needs.
We would advise companies to consider the software that this solution would need to integrate with before implementing the product, as this could make the implementation process a lot more complex.
I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.
The most valuable feature of this solution is the PTS service.
Once you have completed the analytics and deployed it on an ongoing basis, it will continue to provide the KPIs, dashboards, and whatnot. As we work on projects, we track what improvements are occurring, which is the most important part. Not so much the action flows.
Celonis is the market leader, but I believe it is not truly Celonis, it is all about the transaction logs.
Nothing comes to mind in terms of improvement. I believe they are pretty much convinced, and they do a good job at it, nothing comes to mind that they should improve on.
In my opinion, because Celonis is not automated, this is something that should be considered. They will, I believe, be required to do so in the future. They can have the best possible part and potentially an automation solution if they do the scripting. However, it is not an automation tool; rather, it is a process mining solution. They're doing process mining, so they might as well do automation.
Celonis should develop their machine learning. That is an area that could improve.
Celonis should have the ability to automate in the next release, in my opinion.
The price could be scaled down a bit to be cheaper.
I have been working with Celonis for more than one year.
Celonis is a stable solution.
I believe this is due to how easy it is to locate the transaction log on a single system. And if you can find more and more businesses. If more of the process is on ERT, scaling is simple.
The scale is determined by the number of tables required, whether SAP or Oracle. However, I believe that processes in real life do not exist solely in one system. It's not just on the system of record; there are other add-ons and all, and that's where the integration needs to take place.
We assist our clients with deployment. There are approximately 5,000 or more regular users.
We have no prior experience with technical support.
I believe that is where the majority of the effort should be directed because garbage in, garbage out. One must cleanse the data, which I believe is true for any process mining. Because all of the businesses will lack the necessary tables. I believe that requires effort.
It's straightforward, but that's the point. That is where one must focus the most. Because if you set up tables incorrectly, everything else will be incorrect.
Celonis is expensive, but it is functional.
I would rate it a three out of five.
My technical team has evaluated Microsoft and UiPath, but right now we are heavily partnering with Celonis.
It's a useful tool, and I would recommend it to others who are interested in using it.
I would rate Celonis a nine out of ten.
Celonis provides valuable features with in-depth analysis models and UI. You can make adjustments to the model for production management. It is a pure process mining tool with automation processes.
Celonis is a little more expensive than UiPath. Maybe they can work on making it less expensive.
I have been using Celonis for the past two years.
Celonis is stable.
Celonis is a scalable solution.
Technical support is very responsive and can handle the issues in a timely fashion.
The Initial setup is in the cloud. You just need to get an account, obtain your enterprise license, and start using it. This took less than fifteen minutes.
I would rate Celonis a nine out of ten.
Most of our use cases are for finance and accounting because that's what we focus on. These processes include, for example, accounts payable, procurement, and order to cash.
From a features perspective, the discovery and analytics parts of Celonis have been valuable, especially the analytics and all of the out-of-the-box process connectors.
Celonis has a simulation module that can only simulate based on the data it was mining from the systems. We would like to have the option to add other activities that are not happening in the systems and be able to simulate that impact as well. In other words, we want to be able to extend the simulation module with these additional features.
For example, we would like to see improvement of the simulation capabilities to include a BPMN-compliant modeler. That is, we would like to be able to connect the simulation to the BPMN modeler. I think it's one of the features that is missing in Celonis.
I've been dealing with Celonis since 2020.
It is on the cloud and is scalable because it doesn't depend on any infrastructure that we use.
We have dealt with Celonis' support, and we try to leverage more of the less informal support needs through implementation teams because going through the help desk sometimes takes time. There is room for improvement with regard to response time.
The initial setup is straightforward.
Typically, we have a couple of people, up to five, involved in the implementation. However, it depends on the scope and the size. If the project is small or medium, typically, up to five people are enough.
It is an expensive solution.
Our clients have annual licenses.
If you're looking for a process mining tool that comes with a lot of out-of-the-box process connectors and out-of-the-box analysis, then Celonis is definitely a good option. Celonis allows you to deploy it and get the value faster because it already has out-of-the-box connectors for major ERP systems like SAP and others.
If you're looking for something more simple and you want to invest more time in configuration, then you should probably look for another tool.
Also, it's not an inexpensive solution, and there are other solutions on the market that probably are less pricey.
Overall, I would rate Celonis at nine on a scale from one to ten.
I'm employed as a process mining expert.
I had prepared a proof of concept regarding segregation of duty. We used to have a lot of problems with the segregation of duties of SAP. The solutions that we use are ServiceNow, SAP, and one other. SAP has three systems, the first one is the main enterprise system, the second is the AP one, which is used for planning, and the third is the CRM system.
We also have something called DW, which is a data warehousing system. I was mostly in the security sphere, such as segregation of duties. There's no automatic role provisioning for the users who have joined the company or who are supposed to use SAP. We need to provide the accesses manually. We have to analyze the risk for each of the roles by using the GRC tool in SAP. It's an intensive manual process. There used to be a lot of problems while giving the rules, and while giving the rules, there are different markets. This company operates in 64 different countries, such as Uganda, Budapest, India, and Sri Lanka. These countries have different rules to define into it. For example, a user in the UK shouldn't have access to India. There is no possibility that we can trace it because there is no standard flow. There is no way you can pass through the data or event logs through this because there is no foolproof way of preparing a workflow.
In Celonis, you have something called a Petri net. Petri net is a token-based entry system, which helps you to find out the way how the event logs work. You have something called concurrence, which means if a PO or an invoice creation can happen at the same time, a process mining tool will not pick these two activities in their chronological order, because they might have happened at the same time. However, a token-based approach would have been better and more accurate. You would know that this particular event was passed, but this event is supposed to pass on the fourth or fifth phase of the tokenization. This was not the situation we had. The Petri net is complicated compared to a Google DMN flow. Google DMN flow is easier.
Celonis is one of the best solutions on the market. It offers you a lot of training materials and exposure to its ecosystem. Celonis is trying its best to prepare an ecosystem for it because, without an ecosystem, you will not be able to scale up.
I have noticed Celonis and Azure, as Infrastructure-as-a-service do not communicate well with each other. Since Celonis has recently acquired PAF they would try to synergize their operations with Microsoft tools. In the next couple of years, they should be more connected to the Microsoft ecosystems. In the long term, they should integrate more with SAP which is a partner of Microsoft. This would result in cost efficiencies.
I have been using Celonis for approximately two years.
Celonis was a stable solution. My company was trying to understand the power of Celonis. They wanted to create a second line of defense when audits fail because the segregation of duty team needs to ensure that the audits had never failed. Working in an alcoholic beverage company, they always wanted to make sure the solution never fails, or at least we're able to show them mitigation steps if one audit fails. This is the reason why they started the Celonis process mining as a proof of concept.
The scalability of Celonis is good. They have a lot of use cases and a lot of experience they have gained over a period of time. They have multiple models and ecosystems. Additionally, they have a lot of prebuilt apps or extractors, because they have done a lot of implementation of process mining. I have worked with Alteryx Designer, but Alteryx Designer's problem is it's not as simple as Celonis. Alteryx designer uses a complicated methodology that you have to do from the scratch. With Celonis, you don't need to do that. There are a lot of prebuilt extractors, and you can use those extractors if you know where to get the data from. For example, your data table in SAP gives you these PO header items.
I have not contacted support. However, I attended one of the technical seminars of Celonis. One of the academic counselors was there and I found them extremely knowledgeable.
I have used Camunda, Alteryx Designer, and Google DMN previously. The Camunda forms were cloud-based which was a benefit.
This is a cloud-based tool and it does not require an installation. You need to have a data extraction which could be a continuous process.
The implementation process time or difficulty depends on the complexity of the infrastructure. I haven't tested the integration on different scenarios.
Whenever I learn something, until I see any return on that investment, I would not invest in it. I have a serious plan of investing more time and resources in Celonis. I have found Celonis has a lot of new additions and it would be able to capture the markets very soon. The way the process improvements or process excellence is being looked at and the next progressive step for automation, I believe Celonis would play a vital role.
Celonis offers free learning possibilities. I am using the free version of Celonis.
I have evaluated many other tools.
I would recommend this solution to others.
I rate Celonis a nine out of ten.
One main use case is to see change in price, why the change in price is happening? What are the plans associated with it? What can be done in the action engine? You have smart price detection. Based upon the smart price detection, it'll give you three options. Either you update the price in the master data, or you notify the procurement user accordingly.
We used to draw errors to be processed manually, and now you can actually get the digital information directly with the help of Celonis. That is a valuable feature that customers appreciate, as well as the throughput time, the time between two activities. Earlier, it was difficult for them to actually find out what was the time between two activities. But through Celonis, they can find that out.
A major room for improvement would be on the data connection trend, because we were trying to do a POC with a client that had multiple data systems, multiple ERPs. When we contact Celonis, we either get a very generic response or a very delayed response. Celonis will ask for some 86 different tables, as an example. They ask us to get the data for 86 different tables. When I'm doing a proof of concept, if I tell the client that I need 86 different tables, the client going to refuse and not even interact with me. There should be minimum tables, the eight or ten tables which you can use to do at least a minimum proof of concept.
I've been working with the solution for eight months.
The stability of the solution is good.
The scalability of the solution is good.
The technical support is very bad. Specifically, my answer is more biased towards the data point, the data connection. We hardly get any support for connecting the data.
The initial setup is complex. The proof of concept itself, connecting the data, finding out what tables are required, that itself is still unclear.
In the training also, they just talk about the SAP data tables. However, when we ask Celonis, they give us 86 different tables. They should be more specific as to phase wise. Phase one, you can start with these eight tables. Phase two, you can start with these eight tables. They should go step by step rather than asking for the entire universe of data.
There are multiple phases of implementation. One is the discovery phase and second is the enhance phase. We have been mostly involved in the discovery phase early. For that, I think 12 weeks would be a good estimate of timeframe. The major time goes in connecting the data only. Four to six weeks goes in just connecting the data.
My advice to anyone considering this solution is focus on the data part, focus on what the connectors are, which data tables are required, and get Celonis to give you exactly what is required page wise, rather than asking for 100 different tables. The clarity needs to be there.
I would rate the solution a seven out of ten.
