Good remote services feature and easy to setup
With LogMeIn Pro, we could connect up to 10 computers, and having an option for something in between would be good. Like, we went from 10 to the next level, which was around 50 or so. If there was a tier, perhaps around 20, that I would have probably purchased, and it would have been a better fit for what I needed.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Using the product, we provide a quicker response when supporting customers."
"We install our PCs at customer locations throughout the country and are able to support them remotely rather than having to travel to those locations."
"Provides remote access, allows me to get inside our network to be able to fix problems."
"It saves us drive time, we don't have to go to clients, we can just use remote access."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The initial setup was pretty straightforward."
"Unattended remote assistance is the most valuable for us – I save travel time and money."
"It’s enabled me to remotely do updates to servers and workstations in off-hours – without needing to travel into the office."
"You don't have to remember the password and the login all the time. Once you get it in there, it's in there, and you can go about your business."
"It's the only product I need to be able to get to my office Outlook, to get my emails off that particular computer. Going the other way, sometimes I'll go to my home computer to do adjustments to my accounting system there."
"I can connect to them remotely and do all the functions I would have to do by manually driving to them, so it does make things a lot easier."
"It's the only product I need to be able to get to my office Outlook, to get my emails off that particular computer."
"Customer support was great because any issues I encountered were responded to in a timely manner and they were able to resolve any issues that I had."
"Even though there are competing products, I would not hesitate to go with LogMeIn."
"It must have been straightforward. My IT person set it up for me. It is a friendly program."
"They recently included the Kaspersky Security Suite as part of their Central Product."

Cons

"The client could have a bit more functionality, as some changes can only be made through the web interface."
"We are an educational institution, so anything to make it cheaper would be better because we don’t grow money on trees."
"The update issues are an absolute pain. It says it is updating things, but the updates do not go through, and you try your hardest to get the updates to go through and they don't."
"Sometimes it just fails to load."
"Compared to other products, I feel that their biggest weakness has been customer service. They are very nice, but things take forever to resolve. It has been a major issue there. Otherwise, we're happy. We haven't moved away from them because we haven't found anybody with comparable pricing for our business model."
"I have had issues where LogMeIn has not been useful, then we have not been able to work that day."
"It needs backwards compatibility for non-Microsoft-supported operating systems, for example, XP and 2003. In situations where I have no options but to run older operating systems, I would like for it to be backwards compatible."
"File transfer on the free version needs improvement. Allow file transfer with drag and drop to and from Remote Desktop."
"Maybe they can come up with a plan if you only use it for login and, occasionally, printing. Maybe you can charge what you used to charge and then if we want to use it for files or things that are more sophisticated, charge a little more."
"With our recent Windows 10 rollout, there was a rough patch, but that has been corrected."
"LogMeIn is a great product, and unfortunately, is a necessary evil."
"If I had to point out one thing, it would be that it is expensive."
"I would enhance the product, so if I had two screens in front of me, it could connect to two computers simultaneously with the program. For example, if I had a computer at location A and a computer at location B and I am sitting at location C, it might be nice for me to be able to be connected to all three of those computers and move data between those three during one session. "
"The only issue is that they could have a tier between 10 seats and 50."
"Remote Access for external and internal customers."
"The management part probably needs improving. It can get a little cluttered."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The only thing I found is that they've gotten very, very expensive over the years. I started out with about about 100 users on it. Two years ago it was about $600 for 100 users. Now, it's that price for 25 users."
"It's probably worth the value, but the price increases over the last five years are getting harder to justify."
"It's getting more expensive and we are starting to evaluate other products. It's starting to become unaffordable."
"It sucks that I am paying for LogMeIn Central, LogMeIn Pro, and LogMeIn Rescue, plus LogMeIn Ignition, which is the mobile app. It costs me a lot of money every month at LogMeIn. "
"The price needs improvement. It is ridiculously expensive now, and no features have really changed."
"We went with it for pricing reasons, that it was the biggest bang for our buck, by combining the ability to have a central security console, as well as a central point for user administration."
"We've been trying to nail its cost down ourselves, and it is a disaster in that area because you get different numbers all the time. They say this is what it is, but the numbers don't make a lot of sense to me. I know that the numbers change. So, the more you have, the less they are per seat, but I don't really understand where those breakdowns are. Its billing is confusing. It is definitely the worst part. For 7,500 seats, it might be between 2,250 and 2,700 a month. It is somewhere in there."
"Pricing is a little high. They require for LogMeIn Central to go into brackets. If you go over a certain amount of PCs or servers to access, going up to the next bracket is a big jump."
"It is pricey. When they renew me, they always boost it up, I call them and they cut it back a little bit."
"If you subscribe the package of 100 Agents, but install 5, you are still paying for the 100 agent package."
"It is expensive, but in the long run we still come out ahead, because it saves us so much labor and downtime driving from one location to the other. In the end it's well worth the expense."
"I have a tiered pricing. If I wanted to subscribe for three years, I will get a discount for that."
"It is very good."
"Pricing is what I'm upset with. Now, that they bought everybody up, the price doubled."
"Lower the price for an individual user. "
"I think it's competitively priced. I haven't priced it out since we started with it, but the yearly subscription fee is worth it. It's not outrageous, and I believe that it's worth it for our company to pay the fees for the use of the product."
