My main use case for Proofpoint Email Protection is email filtering; we use it for TRAP and Clear, and I use it for Zen Guide.

I use Proofpoint Email Protection for email filtering by using Zen Guide for simulated phishing campaigns, and I use email protection to see where people have reported spam or phishing emails and have a look at those messages to see what people are reporting.

Regarding my main use case with Proofpoint Email Protection, I just use it to see what people are reporting, and people in my team then use it for investigation.

I think Proofpoint Email Protection's filtering is really, really good; we don't get a lot of material going through to our users because the filtering works really well.

Regarding the filtering of Proofpoint Email Protection, I think it just does a general good job with phishing emails.

I have noticed that more malicious emails are getting blocked after implementing Proofpoint Email Protection; it's just doing a better job than the previous product.

Regarding improvements, the search in Proofpoint Email Protection is a bit slow sometimes; if it was quicker, it could probably improve the search a little bit.

I have been using Proofpoint Email Protection for approximately 18 months to two years.

Before choosing Proofpoint Email Protection, other people in the team evaluated options, but I didn't do that personally.

I would rate Proofpoint Email Protection an eight, though I also think it could be a nine.

I choose a nine for Proofpoint Email Protection because I think the interface can be a little bit better; if the search was a bit quicker and a bit easier to do, then it would be a ten.

My advice for others looking into using Proofpoint Email Protection is that you should do it because it delivers some of the best filtering in the industry.

I can't think of any metrics, but since switching to Proofpoint Email Protection, there are certainly fewer bad messages getting through to people's mailboxes over what we had. Overall, I rate Proofpoint Email Protection an 8 out of 10.

My main use case for Proofpoint Email Protection is as the SEG. I use Proofpoint Email Protection as the main gateway for our organization, serving as the main email gateway.

The best features Proofpoint Email Protection offers are rule-based email protection and policy-based email protection, which are among the best in the industry. We receive a lot of unsolicited emails every day, and Proofpoint filters out all the spam really well.

Because we have control over the policies and rules, I am able to configure the rules according to our requirements, rather than relying on standard out-of-the-box configurations. This helps us curate a solution which is both industry best practice and optimal for our use cases and needs.

Proofpoint Email Protection has positively impacted our organization as it has been deployed for more than five years. It has been a good SEG, protecting our staff members before email hits their inboxes. Whatever is junk or spam gets filtered out, allowing users to spend significantly more time on real work rather than going through unnecessary emails.

One thing we have been discussing with Proofpoint is tone-based blocking. We receive a lot of unsolicited emails wherein the tone is not appropriate; it is malicious and abusive, but the text itself appears clean. There is no profanity, no links, no images, and nothing malicious, but tone-based blocking using AI would be a great option.

I feel there is still room for improvement because many features are in POD and not yet available in the Admin Portal. The Admin Portal is really easy to use, but we are struggling with many policies in the Admin Portal. We need to have AI capability shown in the Admin Portal rather than just discussed or operating in the background.

I find my experience with the unified admin console in Threat Protection Workbench for managing security operations much easier to use because of Threat Workbench. However, there is a visibility problem where all emails are visible to everyone who logs into Threat Workbench, and that should not happen. Additionally, many features shown in seminars about AI are not yet enabled for us, so whatever we see, we are not able to experience it in our gateway yet.

I have been using Proofpoint Email Protection for more than seven years.

Using Proofpoint Email Protection has positively impacted my SOC analyst workloads because the rules work really well. We do not need to interfere in the SEG operations daily as they function automatically, so only edge cases are being looked after by SOC. This approach has worked significantly better than what we experienced earlier.

We are not focused on people-based risk yet, so I am not able to provide that number. I do not know about scalability because we have maintained the same average number of users for the last five years.

I would advise others looking into Proofpoint Email Protection that Proofpoint has developed two good new API solutions. People who want to deploy Proofpoint on a faster scale might use the API, which provides protection after the email has been delivered, and it is as good as the SEG. My overall rating for this product is eight.

Compared to other products, Proofpoint's real-time threat intelligence makes it less noisy. They collect and share threat information effectively, which benefits all customers.

I have seen a lot of improvements in Proofpoint's reporting and analytics compared to earlier days.

As a leader in the market, I find the pricing for Proofpoint Email Protection is a little high.

Their licensing models vary, and even the premium model adequately supports awareness campaigning, so I find it acceptable.

Normally, they sell their products through resellers, not directly through AWS Marketplace.

For us, we are clients of Proofpoint.

I rate Proofpoint Email Protection a nine out of ten.

My main use case for Proofpoint Email Protection is email security to help achieve better results compared to what we currently have with Microsoft Defender.

A specific example of how I use Proofpoint Email Protection for email security compared to Microsoft Defender is that we were finding many false positives with Microsoft Defender and inconsistent results where it would let one email through and mark another email as spam or phishing. It was quite inconsistent. With Proofpoint Email Protection, it was very consistent and blocked the email for all recipients, unlike Defender.

In addition to my main use case with Proofpoint Email Protection, we also use the report phishing button from Proofpoint Email Protection, and it has been great.

The best features that Proofpoint Email Protection offers are consistency, security, and ease of setup.

The consistency and security features of Proofpoint Email Protection function effectively, as they block emails that are meant to be blocked and allow emails that are meant to be allowed. In terms of security, Proofpoint Email Protection has caught quite a few malicious emails that have passed through the filters of other security providers.

Proofpoint Email Protection has positively impacted my organization by blocking significantly more phishing emails, and phishing is the main entry point into getting compromised. I have more peace of mind knowing that more malicious emails are getting blocked.

We are definitely seeing fewer escalations with Proofpoint Email Protection in that many more malicious emails are getting blocked right at the gate instead of requiring remediation after the fact.

In terms of scalability, Proofpoint Email Protection is the main gateway, so I am not sure how it can get more scalable. It is literally the gateway that handles all emails and all traffic for email.

Previously, we used the default Microsoft option and found that there were many issues with it missing malicious emails and letting them through, which led us to switch to Proofpoint Email Protection.

I have definitely seen a return on investment with Proofpoint Email Protection, particularly in time saved. There is less remediation work, possibly around ten hours a week saved with not having to remediate as many emails or malicious emails as before.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Proofpoint Email Protection is that it is somewhat on the higher end and more premium, but it is a good product.

Before choosing Proofpoint Email Protection, we looked directly into Proofpoint Email Protection and did not look at anything else.

I think Proofpoint Email Protection is a great product and I appreciate the fact that they have a proof of concept where they can put the tool behind, for example, Microsoft Defender, and anything that is missed by Defender typically gets caught by Proofpoint Email Protection. It is a very effective way of proving the product. I gave Proofpoint Email Protection a rating of nine out of ten because I do not think many or any providers are a perfect ten, as it is hard to achieve that score.

My main use case for Proofpoint Email Protection is corporate email protection.

For corporate email protection, we are using Proofpoint Email Protection by having email on the cloud through Azure and we are using the solution to protect our email so that we are not receiving malicious emails.

I have concerns mostly related to ransomware attacks in addition to my previous use case.

The best features Proofpoint Email Protection offers include performance and fewer false positives compared to other tools. When I refer to performance, I mean the speed of detection of cyber emails. Proofpoint Email Protection has positively impacted my organization by reducing the number of cyber email attacks we are receiving compared to the past. We are receiving fewer cyber emails, which is a specific outcome that demonstrates our improved security.

Using Proofpoint Email Protection impacts my SOC analyst workloads by adding more performance. Proofpoint Email Protection provides a high level of visibility into people-based risk within my organization. I have noticed changes in operational efficiency after implementing Proofpoint Email Protection, and those changes have increased performance.

Proofpoint Email Protection can be improved by using more AI-powered features.

On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Proofpoint Email Protection overall as seven. I choose seven out of ten because you need more improvement related to AI features.

Proofpoint has influenced the quantity of threats my organization needs to protect against, with an increase of eighty percent.

I assess the overall scope and range of Proofpoint's threat protection capabilities in addressing modern security challenges as very good.

My advice to others looking into using Proofpoint Email Protection is to purchase it because it is very good. I would rate this product seven out of ten overall.

My company has a business relationship with this vendor as a partner.

My main use case for Proofpoint Email Protection is email protection and policy setup. For email protection and setting up policies, especially for encryption, we use encrypted emails to send out and the URL Defense feature. These are policies that we set up, along with safe attachments for any attachment protection.

The best features of Proofpoint Email Protection are URL Defense. The URL Defense feature has definitely helped my organization because when URLs come in, end users often don't know if they are safe or not. It is good that Proofpoint hides or changes URLs in a way that is safe. If users even click on them, the links do not go anywhere. Otherwise, when URLs come directly to end users, they could click on malicious links or malware that could be installed or forwarded. I have seen this before in a previous job, and here with using Proofpoint, it is really helpful.

Proofpoint Email Protection has positively impacted my organization because when people know that we are using Proofpoint and they know we have set up a mailbox for protection, they forward issues to that mailbox and we search for them. For safe links and safe attachments, when Proofpoint hides the actual link, it is really helpful for end users, and they know whatever comes to their mailbox is safe to click on. I have definitely noticed fewer incidents, as last month we had maybe one or two tickets for Proofpoint that people wanted, and those are false positives, but it is way less than before without Proofpoint.

I believe if the GUI were more user-friendly for people using it for the first time, or if there were more training available for end users to share with them, that would be good.

The scalability of Proofpoint Email Protection the way that we are using it here with the county is that most people can get in. The only issue that we have is that it is not really end user friendly and a little bit confusing for people that do not have experience with email protection.

The customer support is good and they have good customer support. Even level one support is knowledgeable and it is quick. I like it.

My main use case for Proofpoint Email Protection is DMARC and DKIM, which assists me in ensuring that emails are delivered and not tampered with.

The dashboards in Proofpoint Email Protection are simple to use, the data is easily understandable and displayed well.

Proofpoint Email Protection has positively impacted my organization by ensuring we are not at risk of a breach through email.

I have noticed improved compliance relating to DMARC since implementing Proofpoint Email Protection.

At this stage, there is nothing that I can think of to improve Proofpoint Email Protection, and I am happy to see that they're continuously innovating.

At this time, I do not wish to add anything else about the features or any small tweaks that could make my experience even better.

Overall, I rate Proofpoint Email Protection nine out of ten because I think there's always room for improvement; if we identify that a platform is a ten out of ten, it's basically saying there is no room for improvement or innovation. As such, at this time, I think there is always a need for new ideas and new adoptions and new innovations.

At this stage, I do not have any additional thoughts about Proofpoint Email Protection, but it is a fantastic product.

My use case for Proofpoint Email Protection is email security and threat protection.

The best features of Proofpoint Email Protection are the spam and malware filtering.

Proofpoint Email Protection has a dashboard showing the trends and targeted users. I think they have the Very Attacked People feature as well, which gives us the option to prioritize which users are most vulnerable.

Proofpoint Email Protection has impacted my SOC analyst workloads around email protection, ensuring that our clients stay protected with threat filtering.

I think Proofpoint Email Protection could be slightly more intuitive.

I have used the solution for about three years.

Proofpoint Email Protection definitely works very well. I have no problems with it. We tend to vary the products on a different client by client basis, so it is what they choose to implement, but I have no problems with it at all.

On a scale of one to ten for Proofpoint Email Protection's scalability, I would rate it an eight.

We use single sign-on, so there is just one sign-on, which is nice and easy in terms of accessing it, and then you have all the sections there. The targeted attack protection is included, and I think you have the security awareness training piece there as well.

I think for Proofpoint Email Protection compared to other solutions, the pricing is at the right ballpark figure. I would say it is reasonable.

We typically use Mimecast and then a few of the Microsoft 365 Defender built-in features, so it is a combination of those three solutions with Proofpoint Email Protection.

From the reports that we hear back from clients regarding Proofpoint Email Protection, they are noticing less spam and fewer phishing attempts in their email. It is definitely doing the job. We would recommend Proofpoint Email Protection.
