It started with the purpose of automating, and now it is used in our company in many areas.

What is our primary use case?

'Automation' is the word. It started with the purpose of automating, and now it is used in our company in many areas.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath is used extensively in fields of energy and utilities, banking, finance, operations, paperwork.

What is most valuable?

  • Automating the workflow using all the four types of recorders
  • RE Framework
  • Citrix automation, as it has unique features that are best in competition.

What needs improvement?

Whatever happens, happens for best. So far, it's going good. So, its going nicely to one of its goal to replace desktop support & IT jobs. One concern is robot failure. It may be due to any reason like improper scheduling of bots wrt orchestrator. If bot fails, it impacts business, as it does not meets the requirement in a timely manner, ultimately disturbing smooth functioning of business. (Ofcourse, its a good thing that bot is mostly 100% accurate)

Easy to integrate a third-party library

What is our primary use case?

With automation, you can create daily reconciliation reports with no errors (UiPath helps to retrieve the report from SAP, mainframes, web sites, etc., and VBA macros help to create reports very quickly — very useful for back office works).

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath is about taking the robot out of humans so that humans can work on complex tasks.

What is most valuable?

  • Fast coding: completes the project very quickly
  • Easy to understand UiPath Studio and its components
  • All components are separate like UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, UiExplorer for creating complex selectors.
  • Easy to integrate a third-party library
  • UiPath has a community forum, and any member can provide solutions. The advantage of this is you will get a solution in much less time.

What needs improvement?

Only one cons I have seen so far as No Login Authentication: Whenever we are opening UiPath studio, it is not asking for any login credentials. Disadvantage is any one can open the studio and update the code/ change the code.

It can work with all the Microsoft solutions to automate work

What is our primary use case?

Automating the manual work such as daily work like data entry jobs, accounting work, storing in Excel and filtering the mail.

How has it helped my organization?

By working fast and getting new knowledge of RPA with the help of this tool. It reduces the human cost.

Getting the mails, filtering that and downloading the required PDF and scrapping the necessary details from that, then updating it into Excel. After that, the saved data is updated on the website using Excel. Then giving the acknowledgment to the client, the process is completed or not. Using this overall, three hours of work will be completed in half or one hour.

What is most valuable?

It can work with all the Microsoft solutions to automate the work without any problem. After a one-step installation and day-by-day automation, it is improving the process.

What needs improvement?

It has improved the Citrix environment with the introduction pre-release of computer vision which can manage the total control of the image to indicate as a text and all the content. But the OCR engine still needs improvement; it may be in the next release.

For how long have I used the solution?

Less than one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Use in a stable website.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

than a human.

How was the initial setup?

Easy to install the application using "creating an account"   website.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The license cost is has a community edition.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

No.

What other advice do I have?

Don't use the recording for full automation because the 1000-time process records will be developed too slow.

The intuitive handling of the tool offers the chance to learn how to automate processes in an easy way

What is our primary use case?

The primary use case of UiPath in our company is to automate rule-based processes with easy decisions.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath improved our company through flexible IT solutions, which offers a fast solution to different problems.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of UiPath, in my opinion, is that the intuitive handling of the tool offers the chance to learn how to automate processes in an easy way.

What needs improvement?

In my opinion, the product could be improved in the area of scraping features like OCR. Sometimes, the success-quote is not very good with these features.

For how long have I used the solution?

Still implementing.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability of the solution is mostly good. Sometimes there are bugs.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of UiPath is great. Orchestrator offers many options to scale the business.

How are customer service and technical support?

The support of UiPath is very fast and competent.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

No, I didn't use any other solution before.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was a surprise because it was very easy to start.

What about the implementation team?

I am implementing in-house for my own company.

What was our ROI?

I have no information about this.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The costs of UiPath are very high in my opinion. Small companies may not be able to get many licenses.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

UiPath was chosen by the head of our company.

What other advice do I have?

No.

There are many add-ins for different use cases/environments to implement robots

What is our primary use case?

My primary use cases are the change of customer addresses or their banking information in our systems.

How has it helped my organization?

Easy to handle software, as the "programming" of the robots is done through drag and drop activities. That makes the processes quick to automate.

What is most valuable?

The software, in general, is very well done, as there are many add-ins for different use cases/environments to implement robots. Especially Excel and SAP activities are working very well.

What needs improvement?

OCR and image recognition are already working quite good. But there is still room to improve when it comes to the accuracy, then scraping of scanned PDFs, etc.

For how long have I used the solution?

One to three years.

The tool is friendly, simple to use, and very visual

What is our primary use case?

We are currently implementing a solution for a large telephony company to migrate data between systems. This data is fetched from a system A and placed on a system B. Much of UiPath's functions are well used, such as integrations with PDF, OCR, Excel, and a few others. The financial return tends to be large since the robot manages to work 24/7 and with almost zero errors.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath is a simple tool to be used, has a friendly interface and at the same time powerful and useful to automate most repetitive processes. From an academy with training courses that enroll anyone who wants to join the RPA area, teaching from basic to advanced takes around 20 hours. Available features, integrations with other applications, and a large amount of community-made frameworks that are very active are the things that make UiPath more feasible to use or choose from its competitors: Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism.

What is most valuable?

UiPath will surely win over anyone planning to join the RPA. The tool is friendly, simple to use, very visual, courses are well produced and explained, and certification is free until the end of March.

What needs improvement?

Despite all the good points, UiPath still leaves a bit to be desired with the documentation. ReFramework, which is an adopted community framework, is too nebulous to be understood and poorly documented and presented in the course, causing us to scour the internet for help. Another downside is that the passage of arguments and the number of native commands is not as vast as one of its competitors.

For how long have I used the solution?

One to three years.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

No, UiPath was the first RPA solution I used.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Despite being an expensive tool, it brings considerable returns.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Ease of use, market leadership, and cost.

I find it's easy to scrape data

What is our primary use case?

On using UiPath, once, we had a problem while reading data from the browser that was on a virtual machine as it was not providing the accurate text using Google OCR, as the background was changing for the web page. So we found an alternative solution to get the process working.

As a benefit, it is really beneficial as it provides vast support and every feature is there in the tool. Also, the recording feature really helps while developing the process. One more feature is that in the variable tab, if the name of the variable is changed, then it will be reflected in the whole process.

How has it helped my organization?

The business value that you can create with it is immense. And you don't need IT for it!

  • Cost management
  • Creating internal/operational efficiencies
  • Driving revenue growth
  • Enhancing decision making
  • Improving business process outcomes
  • Improving customer relations/service
  • Reducing time to market.

What is most valuable?

Currently, I am working on (resume shortlisting bot) benefits I can explain according to developers' point of view. I find it's easy to scrape data. I worked on few projects on an older version of Studio, still, when opening it in a newer version, I don't have to make much effort.

What needs improvement?

Nothing as such, but one thing that annoys me the most during development is, we need to capture images for clicking, and for that, we need to maintain the resolution of that image. UiPath should be smart enough to sync that whole thing up.

For how long have I used the solution?

One to three years.

All Excel and manual work can be done very smoothly

What is our primary use case?

I have completed an aviation project using this tool. It provided a nearly smooth and seamless performance. The environment was Windows, and we had to automate the Windows-based application. We had to extract data from Excel and put it into this tool and run the tool to get the results. Those results will then be sent to Excel again and will be used for providing better aviation data to the pilots.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath has helped us in automating the manual repetitive stuff and helped accelerate our organization's growth rate by eliminating the stagnant and repetitive manual work. It has brought in an atmosphere of a change of thought process and driven the growth of innovative excellence.
I will definitely recommend this product to all those who are planning to chose an RPA tool but are confused on which to choose. I have worked with many RPA tools, but I found this as a proficient and user-friendly tool.

What is most valuable?

  • Its ease of use
  • The user interface is friendly.
  • It has self-learning tutorials.
  • It provides RPA advance training which provides a smooth path and helps in clearing the certification.
  • All Excel and manual work can be done very smoothly.
  • It provides REFramework which takes care of all the exception handling, and Orchestrator to remotely run the bots as per your convenience.
  • It provides us with UiPath Connect which is a one-stop platform for all your additional needs and for resolving issues.
  • Its recording feature is great and looking up to its upcoming new feature: computer vision.
  • This tool is very easy and smooth to work with.

What needs improvement?

It could have been visually great and colourful. There are functionalities which need to be added to make automation work much easier like executing a test method by which we can test how the activity will work on that particular browser or stuff without running the whole workflow.

For some of the complex activities, visual demonstration of how that activity works should be provided. There are some minor bugs like we could not find the voting option for Outlook mail.

For how long have I used the solution?

One to three years.
