I actually went for a powerup automation hackathon conducted by UiPath, which gave me the idea to implement this in my organization. I used the product, experienced it, and I'm here. UiPath reduced a lot of manual work and I am getting positive reviews from the company.

Junior RPA Dev at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies
Easy integration with all windows applications
What is our primary use case?
I have tried the RPA tool for the first time and I already love it. How easy it is: you can do all of the daily tasks which you repeat at one click.
Primary use case: educational purpose and automation for content writing.
Secondary use case: additional content writing and data scraping.
How has it helped my organization?
In our institution, we have to submit a weekly report for the tasks we perform daily. It is very easy to scrape the tasks we do from our academic portal and embed to the report.
Now we can make more assignments and content. On running a robot with a keyword, it writes the content and we just have to sit back.
What is most valuable?
- Data scraping and web automation
- Citrix automation
- Easy integration with all windows applications.
What needs improvement?
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.

Works
The most valuable features are its activities
What is our primary use case?
I have been using UiPath for quite some time now, and I have realized that it is one of the best automation tools out there. We primarily use this tool for automating our business processes and removing repetitive work with the help of automation. The most interesting part about this (easy-to-learn) tool is that it is accepted almost everywhere in the RPA industry. There are a lot of activities in this tool which will help you automate processes easily.
How has it helped my organization?
It has been quite some time since we started using UiPath in our organization and it has done nothing but help us. Everyone in the company now is learning how to use UiPath. It has helped us to automate a lot of menial tasks, such as salary processing and resume organization. There are areas where the employees can focus more on now. All of these things help us manage our organization better.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable features of UiPath are its activities. There are an immense amount of available activities in UiPath. These are the building blocks of your process. Since UiPath is new, it is constantly being updated, and new features are being added accordingly.
What needs improvement?
As of now, UiPath is headed in the right direction, but in the future, it needs to introduce its users to the field of AI and machine learning. These are the new features that should be added in the next version of UiPath. As for the drawbacks, UiPath should really add an option to change the toolbar options which would make it more user-friendly.
For how long have I used the solution?
Less than one year.

The web recorder has been a great help when it comes to automating tasks over the internet
What is our primary use case?
The main request of our clients is the integration with the SAP system and specific tasks of email, like sending and downloading of NFS.
How has it helped my organization?
With the automation of the tasks, we have significantly increased the production of our clients, with robots running 24/7.
What is most valuable?
The web recorder has been a great help when it comes to automating tasks over the internet. The selector is perfect, and it recognizes with mastery all the information that is shown.
What needs improvement?
I think they should give a review on the recognition of text in the PDF files. It can not read a whole file, and that delays the work it has too much.
For how long have I used the solution?
Trial/evaluations only.

RPA Developer at a tech services company with 51-200 employees
Integration with Google OCR and Microsoft OCR is very useful when we need to extract information from scanned PDFs
What is our primary use case?
We currently use the tool to sell solutions to internal customers. Most of the work that we automate is the migration of data between systems, automation of emails, extraction of data from PDFs with OCR, among others. The gain has been perceptible from the first moment, as human errors have been noticeably reduced to almost zero. Another good point for us is that we can leave the robot working for as long as we want.
How has it helped my organization?
UiPath is certainly the most acclaimed RPA tool on the market. Its ease of use and firepower are prime points for its worship. Its interface is user-friendly, and even those who do not have programming ease can use it. The implementation and editing of selectors make the tool extremely powerful, and your courses at UiPath Academy make learning very easy and fast. The Orchestrator course is really good and allows the solution developer to completely meet any type of demand.
What is most valuable?
- Integration with Outlook, which is the main mail server we use in the company.
- Integration with Google OCR and Microsoft OCR is very useful when we need to extract information from scanned PDFs.
- Data scrapping when we need to extract large amounts of information from websites.
- Integration with Excel, when we need to allocate this data in tables or CSV for future use, and many others.
What needs improvement?
Unfortunately, some things could still be improved. The documentation of ReFramework is very confusing, although there is the advanced course of UiPath, where the focus is ReFramework itself. I believe this is the most difficult, since certification is mandatory in ReFramework, and it is the Framework indicated by the company for the solution of problems.
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.

Works at a financial services firm with 5,001-10,000 employees
It can input and retrieve data in and from the UI of almost all the desktop and browser-based applications
What is our primary use case?
The primary use case would be automating repetitive human tasks: read emails to get data, then login to the specific application and select other data based on the email received and reply to the initial email.
The secondary use case would be integration between legacy software.
How has it helped my organization?
It has given back time to the employees, to focus more on tasks that would require creativity and decisions that are not binary.
What is most valuable?
It can input and retrieve data in and from the UI of almost all the desktop and browser-based applications. This feature would give you a way of interacting with applications that would trigger all the logic behind the user data, compared to DB integration, which would require more effort to have the same result.
What needs improvement?
They should define a yearly baseline build version that would support the next features without having to upgrade all the time.
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
What you can observe is the stability of UiPath Studio. Sometimes, there are issues with debugging or changing Windows sessions between devices, but the robot running is not affected.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
There are no differences in using one robot or 70 so far.
How are customer service and technical support?
The support response time is good for critical issues.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
How was the initial setup?
It was easy to set up in terms of high-density robots and disaster recovery. Everything is "click to install".
What about the implementation team?
Development is done in-house.
What was our ROI?
I don't have access to this information.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Easy to set up, and now the licensing is more straightforward.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We were looking into UiPath, Blue Prism and Automation Anywhere to start RPA development.

Its forum is awesome, and we can find solutions to every problem from there
What is our primary use case?
I'm working in the banking sector, and as we all know, there exist many repetitive tasks which are actually done by human workforces. I'm automating them with UiPath.
Accuracy, time and cost are the benefits I've figured out from my experience.
How has it helped my organization?
UiPath is a wonderful platform which helped me with automating many of the repetitive tasks including data entry, file processing, document classification, and many more like that.
What is most valuable?
As a software engineer, the features I felt the most valuable are given below:
- Version control
- Python support
- Time-saving
- The wide knowledge base on the internet.
- The UiPath forum is awesome; we can find solutions to every problem from there.
- It has nice support too.
What needs improvement?
The product and its documentation are very easy to understand and helpful, but I found some difficulties when dealing with the licensing. I hope they would make that clear as soon as possible.
Then next thing to improve is the option to add activities into the work pane without using a mouse — actually, via real coders like keyboards only. So, adding more shortcuts would be helpful.
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Highly stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It has a very scalable and easy solution, both in licensing and infra setup.
How are customer service and technical support?
Support with a good knowledge base.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
No, this is our first solution, and we chose it after a long time market study.
How was the initial setup?
They are providing full support for setup, which includes Webex support too.
What about the implementation team?
In-house.
What was our ROI?
I think the ROI is more than 100%.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I think when comparing with other products, UiPath has a flexible and simple licensing option, and their pricing is also good.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Yes, we have tried some proof of concepts with other software like Automation Anywhere, Kryon, etc.
What other advice do I have?
They are also introducing AI/ML to the product. It's time to start using this so we can grow with them.
