We're using this solution to build our own process mining - we already had UiPath licensing for that, so we took UiPath to see how efficient it was. We are customers of UiPath Process Mining and I'm the senior manager.

Straightforward to set up, easy to use, and works well for our financial process
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable feature is the user interface, which makes it easy to use for tasks like configuring resources."
- "This is not a perfect tool, as there are things that should be improved."
What is our primary use case?
We are working with this tool to automate our financial processes.
As a solution provider, we are looking to start marketing RPA solutions such as UiPath to our customers, but at this point, we have only used it to automate one of our own financial processes. We will be using our automation as an example.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is the user interface, which makes it easy to use for tasks like configuring resources.
What needs improvement?
This is not a perfect tool, as there are things that should be improved.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Director - Enterprise Digital Solutions at a tech services company with 5,001-10,000 employees
Identifies and automates repetitive tasks to eliminate human error and save time
Pros and Cons
- "It saves our clients a lot of time."
- "I think they need to work more on producing low code to make it more end-user-friendly."
What is our primary use case?
We implement this solution for our customers.
Let's say we have a client that needs to work on two systems or has to enter certain transactions within two systems. Thanks to this solution, now they can enter this information using one system — they can automatically copy these transactions into that access system. Some of our clients have thousands of transactions per month that they automate through UiPath.
How has it helped my organization?
It saves our clients a lot of time. Considering the amount of time they used to spend and the number of errors made, this solution has helped them a lot — It's made them more accurate. This solution saves them thousands of hours every month.
What needs improvement?
It's too early to say as we've only been working with this solution for six months. However, the main issue I have is with its programming. I think they need to work more on producing low code to make it more end-user-friendly. I think there's a big dependency on developers and technical teams in the background.
For how long have I used the solution?
We've been working with this solution for roughly six months.
How are customer service and technical support?
I have not had contact with technical support.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was very straightforward.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I was not involved in the commercial aspects.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this soluting a rating of eight.

Intuitive features that make it less complex, but they could increase the data management feature set
Pros and Cons
- "It's an extensive solution."
- "The user interface could be more user intuitive."
What is most valuable?
It's an extensive solution.
Some of the more intuitive features make it a little bit less complex.
What needs improvement?
The user interface could be more user intuitive.
Also, they need some better data management features. For example, as far as what we are collecting, being able to decipher and comprehend what the process or flow is, that we are looking at.
They could increase the feature set.
I would like to see the ability to do fixes, such as to address and mitigate some of the gaps or issues in the process flow.
They could develop models, or use cases that can be leveraged for mitigating and remediating process gaps.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate UiPath Process Mining a seven out of ten.

- "In an upcoming release, they could improve on the customization."
What is our primary use case?
We use the solution in my digital architect information company for KPI improvement.
What is most valuable?
The solution has some quality and time assurances to improve our business.
What needs improvement?
In an upcoming release, they could improve on the customization.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution within the last 12 months.

I rate UiPath Process Mining an eight out of ten.

Great implementation strategy, good support that is responsive, but the infrastructure setup could be simplified
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable feature is that it improves our processes and it deploys automation at a cheaper price, higher efficiency, and accuracy."
- "There is always a challenge with the infrastructure set up for the client."
What is our primary use case?
Process Mining helps us to understand how our processes have been built. From that, we can analyze and make the necessary improvements, so that we can be more productive.
UiPath Process Mining is not the only tool the client is using, but Process Mining is something that we would use as an add-on to what we have.
For example, if we are using UiPath Studio with five production boards and running it on different systems, then running five different processes, Process Mining can help us to understand how these processes are working, and help us to analyze if there is any room for improvement, or needs any changes to be more accurate and more efficient.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is that it improves our processes and it deploys automation at a cheaper price, higher efficiency, and accuracy.
UiPath has a great implementation strategy. They will release the beta version eventually, but they always have implemented it within the next month. They have a new release for each and every product within one to two months.
That's how they build these processes and build these products. When you see or get a new product, it's an enhancement of what we have in the previous version.
They are always improving, which is a good thing.
What needs improvement?
There is always a challenge with the infrastructure set up for the client. Setting up the server is something that might be difficult. It needs to be simplified to make it easier to install the tools and start working on the automation.
How are customer service and technical support?
The UiPath technical support is good. If we have any questions, they have a separate team to address any questions that we may have. Once we raise a ticket with the help center, they will reach out to us based on the priority of the ticket and then try to resolve it.
If there is something that they are not able to sort out, they will get more involved and do a screen share to help us resolve the issues.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is similar to the RPA processes that we build.
It's not a complex setup, it's easy.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate UiPath Process Mining a seven out of ten.

Data collection and cleaning needs improvement; process mapping tool is a good feature
Pros and Cons
- "Process mapping tool is most valuable tool."
- "Has a very limited way of collecting process data."
What is our primary use case?
Our primary use case of this solution is helping companies understand their business forecast so that we can identify opportunities for automation. Before getting to the automation, we always make an analysis of where the process friction is and we try to address any issues. We are customers of UiPath and I'm the CCO.
What is most valuable?
I think Process Mining's most important feature is the process mapping tool. There's always a high-level map and a low-level map. High-level refers to the high-level process steps and then low-level for low level. It's a matter of connecting the two together.
What needs improvement?
The main issue for us is how data is being collected. I think a lot of Process Mining's tool has a very limited way of collecting process data. Industry-wide there's a gap and data collection needs improvement, it's a constant challenge. Any demo will show an ideal case but when you use it in the actual environment, collecting data is a real problem. Cleaning the data is also a problem, and then being able to analyze it and make any meaningful sense out of the whole thing is the issue.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using this solution for a year.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We haven't reached the point where we can scale up. Most of the cases are still very small scale. I can't quite imagine doing a very major implementation at this point.
How are customer service and technical support?
I haven't contacted technical support, it's still very much based on whatever's available in the community.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is quite complex. Ideally, you want to get hold of a trial version. One of the reasons I couldn't use TouchUI power, is because it wasn't available for a trial version. So I can't try it out, even in a small simulator environment.
What other advice do I have?
I wouldn't recommend this solution.
I would rate this solution a four out of 10.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises

CEO at Connected Wizdom
Good technical support and great training materials with an easy initial setup
Pros and Cons
- "Technical support is quite helpful and responsive."
- "The training materials sometimes don't keep up with the system changes."
What is our primary use case?
We primarily use the solution for document understanding and to automate the transfer of information between systems. Emails have been coming into a group of data entry clerks, and those data entry clerks, in the past, have been taking that information and pasting it into another system. We've basically automated that process. Now, the system reads the email, extracts the information, and then posts it to another system for us.
We are also taking a PDF with multiple documents, splitting it up into separate documents, and then posting that to another system.
What is most valuable?
The initial setup is pretty straightforward.
Technical support is quite helpful and responsive.
The product, in general, is great with a good set of features.
The company offers very good training materials.
What needs improvement?
Getting a salesperson to actually call me back when I have a pricing question is extremely difficult. They need to work harder at getting back to their clients when they have queries.
I don't have any special requests in terms of new features I would like to see in upcoming releases. Right now, it does everything we need it to do.
The training materials sometimes don't keep up with the system changes.
For how long have I used the solution?
We've used the solution over the past 12 months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability of the product is good.
However, the stability of the training materials, due to the speed that they're changing the software, isn't the best. It's very hard for the training materials and supporting documentation to keep up with the changes to the solution. What happens is, when I go in to implement a process, the process intuitively looks fairly easy to understand. However, when I begin to do it, the screens aren't reflected in the training materials or in the documentation. There's a gap. It's not that they don't have good materials, it's just that they're struggling to keep the documentation and the training materials or examples up to speed with the release.
How are customer service and technical support?
I've dealt with support in the past for multiple reasons. I would say that their technical support's been good, however, their sales support has been very hard to get a hold of. We can't seem to get our calls returned when it comes to pricing queries.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We're also using Automation Anywhere. We use both solutions currently.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is not complex at all. I would describe it as pretty straightforward.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
UiPath doesn't clearly define the pricing models, which makes it very hard for customers. They have a wonderful product. If I could just find out how much it costs so I could buy it, it might be a lot nicer.
Currently, I have approximately five opportunities to implement this solution and I can't even tell people for sure how much it's going to cost to run it.
What other advice do I have?
We're consultants. We're not part of the partner program, which is probably what's causing the lack of sales support. Although, I have tried to get into the sales program. Even that is difficult. Their sales staff is so overwhelmed with opportunities that they're just not responsive.
We're doing process mining, however, it also has the document understanding and all those other things that we need as well.
We use both on-premises and cloud deployment models.
In general, I would rate the solution at a nine out of ten. Even though they're moving so fast that they can't keep up with the documentation, that's sort of a good thing. They're making a lot of progress very quickly.
