It is for my server data, the database server, email server, and those are my main use cases for Acronis Disaster Recovery.
I use Cyber Protect for Acronis Disaster Recovery. I have done a disaster recovery for my email server with Acronis tools, such as Cyber Infrastructure or Disaster Recovery. It was astonishing as it backed up in half an hour.
I have used failover and failback capabilities in Acronis Disaster Recovery with the virtual machine. These capabilities are very important because they helped me in backing up my system.
For new users, providing GIF animations for the methods or steps in Acronis Disaster Recovery would be helpful for step-by-step backup or data restoration.
There is currently a method with video recording of the sequence steps for using Acronis Disaster Recovery to backup and restore data. Instead of a video, providing Adobe Flash or GIF content on the website with animation to show how to restore and back up data in sequential steps would be beneficial.

Acronis Disaster Recovery is easy to set up based on my experience.
I implemented it myself, and I work as a consultant helping others.
Customers were happy because I managed to restore their data. Acronis Disaster Recovery is worth the investment because it saves data and allows backup at any time. This is particularly valuable considering the current threats from viruses, trojans, and crypto-attacks. Users can restore their data even after hardware damage to hard disks and storage. Acronis Disaster Recovery can handle everything and restore data effectively.
Acronis Disaster Recovery is very reasonably priced for this product. While it might be expensive for users in Egypt, I believe the benefits justify the cost.
I am not using automation in Acronis Disaster Recovery. Though automation capabilities are available, I prefer to perform everything manually as I am from the old school.
I trust Acronis Disaster Recovery because I have used it in many critical cases, such as managing an email server with inboxes for 5,000 users along with system data, and it successfully restored everything.
Data authenticity is very important for all users and administrators, and the blockchain-based data integrity verification feature in Acronis Disaster Recovery provides great benefit.

It helps in minimizing manual intervention and speeds up the recovery process.
Acronis Disaster Recovery is very useful in terms of recovery, and I recommend it as a good tool to use in disaster cases based on my training from Acronis.
I am not using the blockchain-based data integrity verification feature.
We have not implemented proactive ransomware protection and anti-malware features, so they have not been helpful to my customers.
For shared drives, when configuring SharePoint services for backup, licensing becomes difficult to understand, so that would be a point of interest for improvement.
The licensing features should be improved.
The licensing for SharePoint should be more visible for SharePoint services backup to make it more feasible and understandable. In terms of management, group management is not available for bulk activities, which I have previously given feedback on in a training session conducted by Acronis.
If you want to do any recovery for bulk users, the option for bulk activities is not available in Acronis currently.
Bulk activity should be available.
Technical support from Acronis requires some improvisation; we do not get on-time support, and we face issues connecting with the account manager, which needs to be improved.
I have been working with Acronis for approximately one and a half years.
As of now, I have not faced any complaints regarding the stability of Acronis Disaster Recovery; if issues arise, then I will assess its stability.
It is easy to scale; you can directly add licenses for scalability.
Technical support from Acronis requires some improvisation; we do not get on-time support, and we face issues connecting with the account manager, which needs to be improved.
I am facing issues with the account manager, and support should be on time in both terms: account management and technical support.
Positive
My customers are new to backup services, so they have not evaluated any other options before working with Acronis Disaster Recovery.
Acronis Disaster Recovery is easy to set up.
I would rate the setup between seven to eight on a scale from one to ten.
My customers are finding value in Acronis Disaster Recovery, as they are happy with the tool and continue to use the services after facing many situations where they found it useful and got good returns on their investment.
The price for Acronis Disaster Recovery is fair from the perspective of features, but for Indian customers and in light of the competition, it would be better if the price were a little lower to pitch services more effectively.
I don't have an ongoing idea of how much the price could be lowered because I have not gone through the pricing sheets in the last two months.
My customers' priority is mainly flexibility and pricing, which are the biggest advantages compared to other backup solutions.
The previous priority was flexibility in terms of implementation and adaptability.
Adaptability is important.
This tool is actually good; we just have to get used to it to explore more features. Until then, I cannot suggest anything as I'm not using all the features.
I have just gone through the failover and failback capabilities of Acronis Disaster Recovery while doing the online training in the Acronis portal; I have not used these features in production.
In terms of cloud, we have tested Acronis Disaster Recovery, and it is very flexible.
My customers do not have any on-premises setup for Acronis currently.
We have only cloud customers using Acronis for Office 365.
I would rate Acronis Disaster Recovery an eight out of ten.
Positive

We use Acronis Disaster Recovery for our customers. We configure it for various sectors including the pharma industry, education sector, and manufacturing sector to address their data protection needs.
Acronis provides ease of use with all tools and solutions operating through a single console and agent. This reduces the workload on endpoints during backups and other cybersecurity operations. Backup is crucial as it allows data recovery. Email security helps protect against malicious emails. The failover process is preconfigured, offering a simplistic switch over for servers.
Acronis could improve by incorporating an application or network load balancer. They could also enhance endpoint security by integrating EDR within the security framework.
Furthermore, the technical support needs improvement during outages, with the presence of a high-level technical team readily available to assist.
We do the disaster recovery rarely and have not encountered stability issues or downtimes while conducting such operations.
Acronis Disaster Recovery is scalable. It optimizes to meet our configuration requirements.
The technical support is available but needs improvement during outages. A high-level technical team should be accessible swiftly to minimize customer downtime.
Neutral
The initial setup is straightforward, particularly for us, as we have been working with Acronis for a decade. Once we understand the customer's network and applications, it is relatively easy to configure.
Acronis regularly introduces new features to meet customer needs, which can lead to efficiencies. For instance, they have introduced immutable storages, but customers should be given the option to opt-in for such features.
The pricing for Acronis products has increased by 10% to 15% over the past few years, making it challenging for existing customers to accommodate the rising costs annually.
We recommend Acronis to customers due to our familiarity and comfort with their products. Customers usually rely on their system integrator's recommendations, which in our case, is Acronis.
Overall, I would rate Acronis Disaster Recovery a six out of ten.

If our clients want to have their servers to be highly available, we mainly use Acronis Disaster Recovery.
In the event that there is an issue with their servers in the production site at the office, Acronis Disaster Recovery provides a replica in the cloud that you can turn on and use if your primary server has an issue.
The interface to use Acronis Disaster Recovery is very simple, and it also comes with an option of having a public IP on your server if you want. Acronis Disaster Recovery gives you various setups to connect to your environment, including the use of VPN, site-to-site to connect your cloud environment and your production environment, and what we call a VPN appliance, which is basically a virtual machine that you can set up on-prem, allowing you to connect it with Acronis cloud.
The automation failback feature in Acronis Disaster Recovery is very helpful and very seamless, requiring only one click to initiate the failback, and Acronis does the rest automatically.
Our clients do use point-in-time recovery scenarios, as Acronis supports point-in-time.
Acronis Cyber Protect handles monitoring and alerting very well. It sends you alerts to your email, notifying you if there is a backup failure, if the backup is successful, or if there is an issue with the communication between your production site and the disaster recovery site. You also get alerts, and Acronis has a built-in dashboard in the solution that shows you issues with the product, allowing you to see all the list of alerts.
One of the main benefits from Acronis Disaster Recovery is that there is no downtime for the end users. If your server is down, you can quickly switch to the disaster recovery server in the cloud and continue running your application, ensuring that your users, customers, and clients do not experience any downtime, which is one crucial benefit.
Apart from the cost, which is one aspect, there is no improvement I can think of at the moment for Acronis Disaster Recovery. The only area for improvement is the price.
I have been working with Acronis Disaster Recovery for about three years.
I would give Acronis Disaster Recovery an eight for stability.
Acronis Disaster Recovery is very scalable, as it comes with various templates when setting it up. If you set it up with a particular template and want to scale, you can always go to the template and edit and select a different template, demonstrating its scalability.
I would give Acronis technical support a nine.
The initial setup for Acronis Disaster Recovery is quite simple.
In my opinion, the main competitor on the market for Acronis Disaster Recovery is Commvault. I have not made extensive use of Commvault, so I cannot really give an opinion on what is better between Commvault and Acronis.
I am still with Acronis. I am satisfied with the point-in-time recovery scenarios. I would give this review an overall rating of eight.

My company's customers mostly use the solution for backup purposes, specifically as a cloud backup. I think it is also used as a cloud DR. The government mostly uses the tool, and then we do have some customers in the private sector.
The tool's most valuable feature is in the area of DR because we can use file-level backups and go for file restoration. DR and failover are good features of the tool.
I can't tell what needs to be improved in the tool because the product is considered to be an all-in-one solution. The tool has security, and one can enable endpoint security. The tool also has backup and DR.
From an improvement perspective, the tool should allow users to add more data centers in the cloud. At the moment, there is data in Singapore, and then my company doesn't have one near us, like here in the Philippines.
I have been using Acronis Disaster Recovery for two to three years. My company operates as a partner and seller of the product.
It is a very stable solution. If there is a need for any maintenance under the data center where we deal with our storage, the product provides us with a lot of updates or notifications.
Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
My company's customers are small and medium-sized businesses.
I would tell others that there are a lot of features that can be enabled in the tool, especially the security part which other solutions don't have. I think the other solutions are catching up with Acronis Disaster Recovery.
The technical support for the solution is very good and responsive to our queries. I rate the technical support an eight out of ten.
Positive
The product's initial setup phase is easy. I rate the product's initial setup phase a nine out of ten.
The solution is deployed on a hybrid cloud.
The time required to deploy the tool depends on a customer's current requirement. If a customer only wants to have a VM, then the deployment would probably take a day or something. If someone has a few VMs, like two to five VMs, then it takes just two to three hours to deploy the tool. With many VMs in place, the tool's deployment phase may even take a day.
My customers have seen some cost savings and recovery time benefits while working with the tool. It takes around a year to see a return on investment from the tool.
The tool is a little bit expensive. When it comes to pricing, there is a range for the VMs and endpoints. It depends. A set of backups on a DR probably costs around 10 to 20 USD per endpoint.
I have evaluated Veeam. Acronis is a bit more expensive than Veeam.
The tool's real-time replication is fast and enhances data security. If our clients who want to use replication have VMs in their on-premises data centers and want to have a DR, they can perform replication so that if that VM goes down on-site, we have a cloud VM that is ready to be used.
For the update provided by the product, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
I am unsure about the AI capabilities of the product since my company doesn't have customers who use it.
I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

We use Acronis Disaster Recovery because it is a good solution for data recovery. It includes features like patch management and integrated malware and ransomware scanning. We felt the backups are secure and have recovered data successfully in many situations with this solution.
If we are using flash storage, Acronis Disaster Recovery helps reduce both downtime and recovery time.
The recovery feature is user-friendly and offers effective protection for our backups. It also identifies patches and requirements from the servers or items we are backing up.
We need the server configuration capacity to be enlarged with the solution's help, as it does not currently include capabilities for storage expansion during recovery.
I have been using Acronis Disaster Recovery for five years.
I would rate the stability of the solution as a nine out of ten.
I would rate the scalability of the solution as eight out of ten.
I would rate the technical support from Acronis as a nine out of ten.
Positive
We were using Paragon before switching to Acronis Disaster Recovery. We switched because Acronis is easy to use and user-friendly, allowing data recovery during disasters.
The initial setup was easy, and we could configure it easily.
The deployment was done in-house.
We have been using the solution for a long time and are comfortable with it, as it has helped us recover during several disaster times.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

We have backup services, and all of them are enabled on Acronis Disaster Recovery in another country. In case our production environment collapses, we can start working from the data center in Acronis in less than one hour. We'll work from that so that we don't lose time with the service or have downtime of the services.
We will decide where to send backup services depending on the attack or disaster. We cannot leave them for three months in Acronis. It's for a period of days just to break up and see where we will move the production again.
Patch management, backup, and disaster recovery have been the solution's most valuable features for our data protection strategy.
The solution covers specific versions of Windows and Linux, and it would be good if other Linux versions or some special appliances could work in the Acronis Disaster Recovery environment.
I have been using Acronis Disaster Recovery for four years.
All companies have some stability issues from time to time. It doesn't always happen for us to say that the product is not stable. When there was an issue, Acronis fixed it quickly. I wouldn't have worked with the solution if I always had stability issues.
We selected Acronis Disaster Recovery because it provided quick and effective support. Afterward, when we needed support, it was provided immediately, quickly, and effectively, although there were very few cases in which we needed it.
Positive
I previously used Veeam. I switched to Acronis Disaster Recovery because of better pricing and the fact that I didn't need infrastructure for disaster recovery. I'm getting the whole disaster recovery part as a service from Acronis.
The solution’s initial setup is easy.
The agent's deployment takes minutes. To onboard the solution for the whole company, you will have almost everything configured in one or two days.
The solution’s pricing is average.
The solution's real-time disaster recovery capability has benefited our response to incidents. We had a case where one of the developers made a mistake and deleted one table from the system. Instead of restoring everything, I powered on the DR site ten minutes before he deleted the data. I gave him access to the DR server and no one else. I asked him to log in, turn on the backup, export the deleted table to a file, get it on his computer, and then import it into the production system.
By having the ability to start a disaster server at a point in time in a few minutes, he went in there, took the table, and restored it on the production one. Only one person out of the many users working on that service realized that there was an issue for one hour.
I would recommend the solution to other users because it is very cheap, and you don't have to invest in hardware. Acronis Disaster Recovery is very easy to implement and quick to use.
Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

We use this solution for running into data centers or full-location data centers for our customers. If any failure happens due to the databases, it backs it up. The uniqueness of the solution is being able to take a backup so the same backup can be used for disaster recovery. So whenever the disaster happens, the same backup can be restored on the machine, which we configure and define. When you call disaster on the infra, the system automatically takes the last backup and then puts up the device with the previous backup. There is a router which fits into the infrastructure that drives all the traffic from the customer data center to the Acronis Disaster Recovery data center, and the product impact becomes low. Hence, the disaster recovery site gets built in 15 minutes, and we can start working on it. We deploy the solution on cloud.
Acronis Disaster Recovery has a test which allows us to test the environment quarterly or every three months. If you are taking a service backup for disaster recovery, it enables you to do the test at no cost. So every quarter, they provide credits allowing you to create a tested disaster, move one or two servers into disaster, and then see the process. So, when a disaster happens, if we have already tested it a couple of times, it becomes straightforward to flip the switch, and disaster recovery happens.
The customization part on the infrastructure side requires a certain amount of time for URL-based forwarding because the server is assigned to a DNS. Whenever the DR happens, the new IP comes into the picture so they need to get a load balancer before the DR infrastructure, so all the traffic goes to the local data center. When there is no DR, and if there's a disaster in the local data center then that route gets chopped off and then the new routes open, which is forwarded to the DR location. Hence, the solution can be improved by including a load balancer. It becomes very easy to give only one IP to the interface and the users regardless of what you have in the packet and which IP is running the system.
We have been using the solution for approximately two years and are currently working with the latest version.
The solution is stable.
The solution is scalable.
We do not have experience with customer service and support because we have certified employees who have been able to solve the issues.
The initial setup is not complex and there is a process. We have to create a backup and set it up on the router or virtual machine, which communicates back to the local and virtual data centers. It's not that complicated, but the configuration takes some time.
When we want to deploy the solution, the customer informs us beforehand if they are looking for Disaster Recovery because the usual backup storages are different in Acronis. When we do Disaster Recovery, there are various places where the data gets stored because it's hot data. So, there are multiple data centers and we install the agent on the server, take the backup on disaster recovery storage, and it keeps backing up. Then, if disaster gets called, the router, configured in the data center, diverts the traffic to a disaster recovery site of the Acronis data center. Deployment time is dependent on the number of servers. One person is required for deployment, and the solution is not difficult to maintain.
The solution is inexpensive because we provide a test environment to test the failovers. Considering the features and the solution's disaster recovery storage, the cost is acceptable.
I rate the solution a nine out of ten. The solution is good, but the customization can be improved by including a load balancer. I advise users considering implementing this solution to do a complete test on the product before they buy.
We distribute Acronis Cloud and every solution in Acronis, including Acronis Disaster Recovery.
Using the backup as an image helps our organization to have a clean machine in disaster recovery. If there is a malware-infected company, we can update the disaster recovery section with a clear backup.
The ability to automate the backup solution and recover entire mailboxes or even granular-level emails is very good for restoration and backup.
Overall, Acronis is a good solution, but it needs improvements in some areas like IDR, XDR, and other aspects.
Also, for the backup to compete in the enterprise market, there must be improvements.
I have been familiar with Acronis Disaster Recovery for five to six months.
For disaster recovery, I have only worked with on-prem recovery solutions like having all services in other players. I do not know any specific product except Acronis Disaster Recovery.
I do not have experience with the pricing of Acronis Disaster Recovery because it is not particularly popular in Sri Lanka.
The pricing might be a little bit expensive for my region, and for Sri Lankan customers, a price benefit is important.
I rate Acronis Disaster Recovery an eight on a scale of one to ten.
