I use the solution for documentation. I also use it for storage and management.

Lead Technical Instructor at Code.Hub
A web application that works as a repository for storing data such as Excel, Word documents, and more
Pros and Cons
- "One of the most strong features is the ability to collaborate by sharing files with others, allowing concurrent work. The most valuable features of our team's collaboration include concurrent editing and quickly creating reports. This allows for simultaneous editing, moderation, and finalization of our reports."
- "Improvements could include better editing features within a Word document, similar to the characteristics of on-premises versions, such as more formatting functions. Another improvement could be file transfer from the browser to the desktop, making it as simple as drag and drop."
What is our primary use case?
The tool is our repository for storing data such as Excel, Word documents, and more.
What is most valuable?
One of the most strong features is the ability to collaborate by sharing files with others, allowing concurrent work. The most valuable features of our team's collaboration include concurrent editing and quickly creating reports. This allows for simultaneous editing, moderation, and finalization of our reports.
The tool is secure, and you won't encounter any difficulties.
What needs improvement?
Improvements could include better editing features within a Word document, similar to the characteristics of on-premises versions, such as more formatting functions. Another improvement could be file transfer from the browser to the desktop, making it as simple as drag and drop.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the product for more than five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I rate Google Drive Enterprise's stability as ten out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I think it is quite scalable. The free version offers up to one or ten gigabytes of storage, and you can pay for extra space if needed. My company has five to ten users who use it daily.
How are customer service and support?
We don't need to contact support because everything is straightforward. In most cases, we solve any issues ourselves. The products are mature and provide straightforward solutions, so support is unnecessary.
How was the initial setup?
Google Drive Enterprise's deployment is easy. It's just a web application.
What was our ROI?
The biggest value is that you don't need to exchange files manually. You have a central repository and concurrent users, which is quite important.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
You don't need to pay if it is within your storage limits. If you need more, you can have a corporate license. I don't know the pricing, but there is a corporate license. The extra costs would only be if you exceed these free limits.
What other advice do I have?
I rate the overall product a ten out of ten. I would advise others to start using it without hesitation. It's safe and reliable so that you won't lose your data.

A stable tool that offers the ability to maintain privacy while sharing files or folders of critical nature
Pros and Cons
- "It is a stable solution, and I have never faced any issues with the product...It is a scalable solution since one can get as much as one needs from the product."
- "The product lacks in the area of documentation."
What is our primary use case?
In my company, we use Google Chrome with Google Drive Enterprise. My company has been using services from Google, and we specifically rely on Google as our email service provider. We rely on Google when there is an expansion in the company's data.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable features of the solution are its ability to keep and maintain the company's critical data while allowing it to maintain privacy while sharing files or folders.
What needs improvement?
In Google Drive Enterprise, Google Chrome's interface is currently cloud-based, but I feel it should have some desktop and mobile applications that don't depend so much on the cloud, which might make it faster.
The product lacks in the area of documentation. I use tools provided by Microsoft Office, and I feel Google needs to provide some documentation similar to what Microsoft provides to its users.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Google Drive Enterprise for a few years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is a stable solution, and I have never faced any issues with the product.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is a scalable solution since one can get as much as one needs from the product. Regarding the product's scalability, one can subscribe to get a larger capacity and pay for it.
How was the initial setup?
The solution is deployed on the cloud. My company has its own local premises, servers, and infrastructure, but Google is more suitable as a cloud-sharing solution, especially when handling critical data and when one has no access to local premises via VPN to handle less critical information, like sales material and data sheets.
There is no time taken to deploy the product since it is already integrated into Google Chrome.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
My company had previously compared Google Drive Enterprise with Microsoft but decided to choose Google since Google's pricing was favorable for our company.
What other advice do I have?
I don't have any recommendations for those planning to use the solution since I am not a sophisticated user. I can say that the product has everything my company needs.
I rate the overall product an eight out of ten.

Network Security Specialist at a financial services firm with 1,001-5,000 employees
Feature-rich, easy to use, and has ample storage for file sharing and saving
Pros and Cons
- "For me, the most valuable feature is basically saving and sharing documents with other people outside, having something to be co-shared. When documents are large in size, it is easier to send them via email."
- "If they would implement something for people who have been working on Google Drive for so many years, to have an upgraded version or to be upgraded to that capacity or storage, that would be fantastic."
What is our primary use case?
Google Drive Enterprise is something that I use for my personal use.
I use Google Drive Enterprise for storage.
I don't do much with it aside from saving and sharing access to certain documents or folders with other employees. That's what I've been doing for the past four years.
What is most valuable?
It's working fine for me. The storage capacity is quite good for me, and aside from that, I'm simply sharing the majority of the items I require to be saved.
It provided me with cloud storage for a number of documents that I have, as well as with some of the vendors that I work with we can share files that cannot be sent via email over Google Drive.
It has enabled some features that will assist me in continuing my work. On a personal level, it's actually fantastic.
For me, the most valuable feature is basically saving and sharing documents with other people outside, having something to be co-shared. When documents are large in size, it is easier to send them via email.
What needs improvement?
To some extent, my usage is very limited. Perhaps my experience with it is limited to sharing and storing. There is nothing truly critical that I could share with you to have implemented or included. For the time being, Google Drive meets my needs.
Of course, having more storage capacity would improve the experience for anyone working on Google Drive.
If they would implement something for people who have been working on Google Drive for so many years, to have an upgraded version or to be upgraded to that capacity or storage, that would be fantastic. That would be extremely beneficial.
If there is even a possibility, I haven't downloaded the desktop version to see if it has the same features as the web version. But, in general, if you can set permissions on specific folders and then give people access to them, you can keep track of who is doing what. Perhaps visibility and permissions for a functionality.
In the next release, I would like to have more functionality for other users to visit my Google Drive Account.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Google Drive Enterprise for my personal use for a couple of years since I created my Gmail account.
I have been working with Google Drive Enterprise for four years.
I am not sure what version it is, but when I join or log in, to my Gmail, I'm redirected to the Google Drive page via whatever shortcut is available on my page.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Google Drive Enterprise is definitely a stable solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Google Drive Enterprise scales extremely well.
How are customer service and support?
No, not until now. To be honest, I didn't have any problems that required me to contact Google technical support.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Prior to that, I had a Dropbox account through which I used to share documents. But now that I have Google Drive, I hardly ever use Dropbox.
I believe it simply facilitates better because you have more features and functionalities than Gmail.
I either use my email account, then save things to Google Drive, and then share them through that, or I use Google Docs. Because it combines multiple functionalities and features in one place, Google Drive was my go-to storage system.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is very simple. After working on it for so many years, I haven't encountered many issues or complexities.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I was reviewing the website to see what products were available.
We are planning to implement Cisco Stealthwatch in our network in the near future, I was thinking it would be a good idea to read up on the product and see what kind of features it offers.
It is still in the budgeting stage, but it will most likely be implemented in the coming months.
Because I work in the financial sector, it is required that the majority of our resources not be shared on a cloud basis. Anything that uses the cloud, such as Azure or Amazon Cloud, is usually not allowed on our network.
What other advice do I have?
I would definitely recommend this solution to others who are interested in using it.
I would rate it a perfect 10. As I previously stated, I have not encountered any difficulties or technical issues with it. It met my personal requirements for capacity and sharing. From my perspective or from my personal needs, it is working well for the time being.
I would rate Google Drive Enterprise a nine out of ten, allowing for some room for improvement.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud

Business Development Director at NCSI HK Ltd.
Integrates well, has adequate storage, and is user-friendly
Pros and Cons
- "It's easy to access from an Android device and can access things like cyber security restrictions on USB drives, file size, and so on. Google Drive will be an option."
- "I would like to see the price reduced in the next release."
What is most valuable?
It's easy to access from an Android device and can access things like cyber security restrictions on USB drives, file size, and so on. Google Drive will be an option.
So far, I have been pretty happy with it.
I don't believe there will be many issues with integration. It's quite simple.
I'm not a frequent user. I don't have any issues connecting to Google Drive.
What needs improvement?
Everyone wants more storage space, but for me, it's adequate.
I would like to see the price reduced in the next release.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Google Drive Enterprise for three or four years.
If you are a user, or if you have friends who use Google Suite, you will always deal with Google Drive.
I use it less, as there are several other options available.
I use both the mobile and web versions of this solution.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Google Drive Enterprise is stable. I am satisfied with the stability of this solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I have no complaints about Google Drive Enterprise's scalability.
How are customer service and support?
I did not contact any support desks, but any support can be easily found on the internet.
When you search the web, you can easily find it. Everything is there.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have experience with both Automation Anywhere as well as UiPath, but more with UiPath because our company is a UiPath partner. We have a team of RPA specialists.
I also have experience using cloud solutions such as Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. Today, you cannot avoid other clouds. I cannot ignore any of these cloud provider services, along with Power platform, SharePoint, Office 365, Teams, and Dynamics.
We have recently encountered a number of SharePoint requirements. It's becoming increasingly popular. It is a hot topic in Hong Kong.
Dynamics is also becoming more popular.
How was the initial setup?
In my opinion, the initial setup was acceptable. For a basic user, it is straightforward.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
That would be ideal if it were as cheap as possible.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I evaluated other solutions such as OneDrive, and I like Google Drive better.
Perhaps I am used to the Google Drive experience. So, yeah, I prefer it to OneDrive. I believe it's just a matter of getting used to things as they are.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend this solution to anyone who is interested.
I would rate Google Drive Enterprise a nine out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

A tool to store and access files that offers good performance and stability to its users
Pros and Cons
- "Google Drive Enterprise is a good product, and it is easy to use."
- "Security is the only area where there are certain shortcomings in the product where improvements are required."
What is our primary use case?
Google Drive Enterprise is a good product, and it is easy to use. With Google Drive Enterprise, users can have access to their files anywhere in the world.
I use Google Drive Enterprise in my company so that I can use my files anywhere, and I always have access to my files. With Google Drive Enterprise, it is easy to have extra storage.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that it provides good performance and stability. The tool is secure enough to use since you can use extra protection to use it on your phone.
What needs improvement?
It is always possible to offer better protection and improve the protection rate that the product offers its users. The security part of the product may not be very important for me since I only use it for my files. I want my files to be protected.
Security is the only area where there are certain shortcomings in the product where improvements are required.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Google Drive Enterprise for a long time.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is a scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
I use it for my private files at my home.
How was the initial setup?
The product's initial setup phase was straightforward because it's a Google product, meaning it is also integrated with Google's system.
The solution is deployed on the cloud.
For the deployment process, you have to create an account, and once you have an account, you can access your Google Drive and Google Mail.
What about the implementation team?
I installed the product in my company.
What was our ROI?
I have seen benefits from using the product.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is available for free.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Around 15 to 20 years ago, I evaluated Dropbox against Google Drive Enterprise.
What other advice do I have?
If you like storing your files and data in Google's system, you can access them from anywhere, which is a nice thing to have because you will always have your files while Google takes care of updating the backup it provides.
I recommend the product to those who plan to use it. With the product, it is easy to backup and store your files and data, apart from which I don't use it for anything else.
I rate the overall product a ten out of ten.

IT strategist at Convergent Wireless Communications
The environment, ecosystem and elements bundled with the solution are not strong
Pros and Cons
- "I find it valuable to have access to my files from any location."
- "The price of additional storage could be reduced. I have an annual subscription and I'm only using 150GB because of the price."
What is our primary use case?
I use the solution at my job at least once a week to exchange files. About 15% of my time per week is devoted to it.
How has it helped my organization?
Staff exchange files through the solution.
What is most valuable?
I find it valuable to have access to my files from any location. If I'm traveling, I access files via my mobile or another terminal device. I have access to materials I want to take to my class and don't have to carry anything. I just put my files in the solution and open them wherever I need them. I don't even have to carry a flash drive.
What needs improvement?
The price of additional storage could be reduced. I have an annual subscription and I'm only using 150GB because of the price.
The environment, ecosystem, and elements bundled with the solution are not strong.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for ten years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I don't use the product often enough to rate stability.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is scalable if you pay for additional storage.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I use 1TB of my Microsoft Drive extensively for various things. I haven't completely made the switch because of storage costs.
How was the initial setup?
The setup was not complex, but could be improved with dashboard clarity. For example, a colleague sends me a link to a file on his drive. When opening the link, it is not apparent if the file is still on his drive or now shared on mine. I shouldn't have to open the file to store it on my drive. I would like this ease-of-use workflow item to be improved.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Storage is the only product offered and that makes it expensive to use. If you compare it to Amazon Web Services and Microsoft, storage is incidental to other products, suites, and services. For example, Microsoft offers 1TB of storage with the purchase of Microsoft Office. The perception is that Microsoft offers free storage. It is convenient to package products and have fewer vendors with one support team. If I'm looking at storage only, I look at relative costs.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I have evaluated and still use Microsoft Drive.
What other advice do I have?
I rate the solution a three out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
Google

Senior Director at a computer software company with 10,001+ employees
Easy to set up with simple file access and very reliable
Pros and Cons
- "It's a stable product."
- "The only thing that's really been annoying is the single file size limit."
What is our primary use case?
I usually use it for storing and organizing documents that I was using for training and stuff, which I can't use on my personal laptop, or on my office laptop. Anything which I use for my learning, if I put it on the work laptop, I can't get it out. Whatever I'm practicing on the web or anything, I usually park it there. That's one of the reasons why I don't use an app (due to company policy).
What is most valuable?
I like that I can access files from anywhere. In my case, I can't get anything out of the work laptop. That's why I park all my learning materials and personal critical documents there.
The initial setup is a breeze.
It's a stable product.
What needs improvement?
I've not reached a stage where I hit a snag and, "Oh, I wish this feature was there," or something like that. I've really not come across that so far.
I've not used the programming, the API version, to really comment on what could be simpler in that sense. The web version of it is pretty good.
The only thing that's really been annoying is the single file size limit. Apart from that, it's fine.
I'd like different storage tiers. The storage tiers are a little tricky. Up to the mid-range, it is good, and then after that, it's a huge bump. I don't really recall off the top of my head what storage is now. However, when I went for a paid subscription, I felt there was a huge gap between the two of the subscriptions, in terms of the storage. I thought I would find something in between, which would've been slightly better. That was about a year ago. I'm not sure if that has changed. At that time, when I looked at it, there were two options and my requirement was absolutely in the middle.
There might be one for 10GB and one for 100GB, and I might have needed 50GB and that wasn't an option.
When I upload something on photos and then there is something on Google Drive itself, the ability to see the photos that are uploaded as files on the drive, would be a good option to have. Accessing them on Google Drive itself could be much simpler.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using the solution for three to five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It's very stable. I've never faced a situation where a document has gone missing or the service is not available. What they have and how they centralize the backup, it's absolutely fine.
How are customer service and support?
I've never really had to go to technical support. Using technical support may apply more when you are doing an API-based or programming-based access to things. In my case, with Google Drive, I use it predominantly on an interactive basis. I've never hit any problem.
Whenever I need additional services I can pay for the paid version for the duration I need, and once I'm done, I typically unsubscribe at the end of the month. Everything is pretty simple and quite effective. If I need additional power, I usually switch to a paid Colab version and bump up the CPUs I need for the DPUs.
Everything works fine. I really never had to seek out a support person to resolve an issue.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I've also used Microsoft storage as well. I found Google is much better when it comes to searching, merging, and pulling documents. Microsoft can be inconsistent.
How was the initial setup?
The solution is very straightforward and simple. it's quite easy. It's not complicated at all.
What other advice do I have?
I'm an end-user.
I usually use the web version.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
