Stable and well-integrated with Google products
Pros and Cons

- "The ability to share documents with outside clients can be improved. It is difficult to share documents with outside clients, and that's why I am looking at some other solution. It is not a great solution if you are working with a company that doesn't use Google Suite."

We use it for general storage and sharing documents. We are using the latest version.
What is most valuable?
The integration with Gmail, Calendar, and Google Meet is the most valuable.

Information Technology System Administrator at a comms service provider with 1,001-5,000 employees
User-friendly, with great photo backup feature
Pros and Cons
- "I also use OneDrive, but I prefer Google Drive because it's available on many platforms and devices, so it gives a wide variety for backups, especially on Android systems."
- "The desktop app could be improved, especially how it functions in the Windows environment."
What is our primary use case?
I use Google Drive on my phone for backups.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable features are the backup of photos and the user-friendliness. It's also useful to have Google's version of Office embedded in the app, as it allows you to view your files directly from your Google Drive online.
What needs improvement?
The limit on the storage size could be expanded, and the desktop app could be improved, especially how it functions in the Windows environment.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using this solution for five to six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Google Drive is stable.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I also use OneDrive, but I prefer Google Drive because it's available on many platforms and devices, so it gives a wide variety for backups, especially on Android systems. However, OneDrive's desktop app is better because it's embedded in Windows, and you directly back up your PC to OneDrive while working in your Microsoft account.
How was the initial setup?
Google Drive is easy to install, especially on Android phones where Google's services are linked in.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Google Drive is free.
What other advice do I have?
I would give Google Drive a score of eight out of ten.

Data analyst at a computer software company with 11-50 employees
Excellent performance, feature rich, easy to scale, and easy to use
Pros and Cons
- "Accessing their services is simple, user-friendly, and does not require a lot of technology."
- "When compared to Commvault or Veeam, I'm not sure what Google Drive has to offer in terms of backing up data on the cloud or in a data center for a large organization."
What is our primary use case?
I use Google Drive Enterprise for my personal use. I back up my files, photos, and other information I have stored on my mobile device, as well as my daily tasks, or whatever is done on my computer are backed up on my drive.
What is most valuable?
Accessing their services is simple, user-friendly, and does not require a lot of technology.
Google Drive Enterprise is easy to use.
What needs improvement?
Personally, I can't say what I don't like about Google Drive Enterprise because I haven't discovered anything better.
The price could be lower.
When compared to Commvault or Veeam, I'm not sure what Google Drive has to offer in terms of backing up data on the cloud or in a data center for a large organization.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using Google Drive for personal use for nine to ten years, and I've been a premium user for the last two years.
I'm using the most recent version. I use the web version rather than the app.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Google Drive Enterprise is a stable product.
Google Drive's performance is one of my favorite features. It doesn't take long to load, and everything happens instantly.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I currently have more than 300 GB of data on my Google Drive. I don't believe that scaling would be an issue. It's easy to scale.
How are customer service and support?
We have never had any issues that required assistance from technical support.
How was the initial setup?
When using their web version, no setup is required. If I'm using an Android app, for example, I only need to configure my storage. In Google Drive, I have to define my storage and what I want to back up, and it backs it up ahead of time.
Because it's for personal use, I haven't had any issues with it, such as difficulty setting it up or anything like that. It's not like Veeam or a formal setup that requires many machines for that environment.
I am not using it on a large scale, it's for my personal usage only.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The licensing fees are not cheap, but when you compare it to other products and the features it provides, it's reasonable.
The costs could be lower, but they are reasonable for the value they provide.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
The management in my company has just decided to switch over to cloud backup solutions, which is why I have been researching the various websites for products that are best for my use.
I am exploring, but management will review the information and make a decision. I don't know what they're going to decide, so I don't have a say in it.
What other advice do I have?
My family does not have access to the credentials, but if they needed something backed up or saved, they would just give it to me to store safely on my cloud.
For personal use, I would definitely recommend this solution.
I would rate Google Drive Enterprise a ten out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

How was the initial setup?
There is no installation. You only need to log in to your Gmail account. It's not technical to set up.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I use the personal version. It's not a license per se. It's more like a subscription.

I used this solution for holding data files and sharing them. I stopped using it because I did not like being constrained within the Google environment.

Senior Consultant/System Analyst at a tech vendor with 51-200 employees
Good for sharing, searching and storage share
Pros and Cons
- "Low maintenance solution."
- "Record your meeting and simply share with anyone without thinking where to store the file."
- "Google meets use of whiteboard is primitive making it difficult to demonstrate while talking."
What is our primary use case?
We utilize the Drive Enterprise for sharing, the search drive and the storage share.
What is most valuable?
The ease of user sharing information among people in the organization is the most valuable feature of this solution.
For example, when you have a meeting, you can record it and then simply share with anyone you would like. You don't have to think about where to put the file, everything is semi-automatic, everything is functional.
What needs improvement?
Microsoft Teams has a lot more features than Google. Google Meet allows you to collaborate by drawing on a whiteboard while talking in the meeting, however it is primitive and not user friendly as it is a bit challenging to try to demonstrate using the whiteboard.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using Google Drive since day one of our organization.
How are customer service and support?
Google Drive Enterprise is a low maintenance solution.
What other advice do I have?
If you don't need the added features of Microsoft Teams, Google Meet will satisfy the needs of collaboration and discussion. It is a good integration of Google. There has been no problems or issues. I would give it a 9 out of 10.
