Veeam Data Platform Reviews

We use it to back up and restore our virtual machine in a live environment without restoring the complete virtual machine. It just mounts its storage to the NFS and makes the machine live in seconds. That is our favourite feature in Veeam ONE.

In the past, we used NAKIVO for our backup replication, and the main problem was that their backups were unverified and, most of the time, were corrupted. But the backup in Veeam ONE is good, and we are satisfied that the backups are also accurate and stable.

When we install an application, we have backups available in another drive and have to import those backups into the machine. Sometimes, rarely, there is a bug that prevents enabling the restore button, which is hectic. We then have to go into the folder and double-click to fix the issue. However, improvements can be made to prevent the bugs and improve restoration and importing of previous backups into the new one.

I don't think any additional features are required as it is already packed with many features.

We have been using this solution for approximately five years and are using the latest version. We always keep our versions updated. It is deployed on-premises.

I rate the stability a nine out of ten. So we like the solution, but I can't rate it a ten because there is room for improvement.

I rate the scalability a ten out of ten because it is scalable even using Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services. It is also scalable on-premises. Only our organization's manager and deputy manager have the right to operate this solution. We have plans to expand use as the data center keeps expanding.

The initial setup was straightforward, and Veeam ONE requests prerequisites and installs them without the internet. That is a big bonus, with those prerequisites packaged in each setup. It is also pretty straightforward for someone unfamiliar with the solution.

Deployment was done in-house. Our data center does not have a big workload, so we use the Veeam ONE backend application and community edition. It is free, and if any issue arises, it can be solved with a Google search. It took three people and around 40 minutes to complete the deployment. One person can complete the rack installation of physical hardware.

It's free of cost for up to ten workloads, which is a big benefit for a small data center.

I rate this solution a nine out of ten. My advice to a new user is to go for the community edition. It is more than sufficient compared to Acronis or NAKIVO. Veeam ONE is the best and the most mature solution for hypervisors and physical machines.

We use this solution to backup documents, photographs, video tapes, and data in the cloud. It is a public cloud and implementation is easy because all you need to do is create a new user, and then you can easily load the data.

First, I like that this solution is fast. Second, I like the stability and flexibility.

If you don't have technical knowledge about these services, monitoring the virtual machines is hard. The solution is flexible if you have the correct knowledge though, so if you have knowledge about newer technical services, it's easy.

I have been using this solution for about six years.

It is a pay-as-you-go solution. There are four people using it in my company.

The technical support is so helpful because the team is in the USA and the people are fast. We get answers fast and the connectivity is fast. It's so good. I would rate the technical support as a ten out of ten.

The solution is really easy to set up.

Our licensing cost is $200 a year.

I would recommend this solution to others.

I would rate this solution as a nine out of ten.

We use this solution for database backup. We are customers of Veeam. 

We've had a bad experience using Snapshots from VMware and so we now use Storage Snapshot which is much better and very safe.

I think the backup and integration could be improved. 

I've been using this solution for five years. 

Veeam provides good stability.

The technical support is very good and they are very responsive. 

The initial setup is straightforward. It took us about 10 minutes to deploy and configure, and maybe an hour in total to implement. Two people use the solution in our organization and we are currently considering whether to increase usage. 

I rate this solution nine out of 10. 

Veeam Backup Replication's most valuable features are the ease of use, good integration with others solutions, such as Oracle ERP, and by using the UI you can create and achieve operations you want to do.

Veeam Backup Replication could improve by making the monitoring system free. If I would like to have any monitoring system by Veeam I have to purchase it. It should come free with the solution. They should provide a monitoring system to make the work easier and smooth.

Veeam Backup Replication is built for a virtual environment. I have used other solutions, such as Data Domain and which is used for the backup of the networks or other areas. I have found it a more difficult application to use. It can be even more difficult if you need to write a script for anything you would like to do. Veeam Backup Replication there are not any difficulties. 

I prefer Veeam Backup Replication.

The initial installation of Veeam Backup Replication is extremely simple.

The price of Veeam Backup Replication is reasonable. It is not inexpensive nor is it expensive, it is in the middle range compared to other solutions. There can be additional costs for addons.

I would advise others that the implementation of Veeam Backup Replication is straightforward and it is a great solution. I recommend Veeam Backup Replication to others.

We are using Veeam Backup & Replication for backing data, such as our databases and VMs.

The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup & Replication is the ease of use.

I have found Veeam Backup & Replication to be scalable.

We have one person using the solution in our company and they are doing the backup of our data. We plan to increase usage near the end of the year.

The technical support from Veeam is good.

We previously used Veritas NetBackup but it was having some issues and it is almost at its end of life. We moved to Veeam Backup Replication.

The initial setup was easy, and the whole process took two to three days.

We did the implementation of Veeam Backup & Replication ourselves. We only use one person for the maintenance and support of the solution.

We pay for the license of Veeam Backup Replication on an annual basis. The cost of the license is approximately 70,000 rials. The support and maintenance are included in the price.

My advice to others is Veeam Backup Replication is a good solution.

I am using Veeam Backup Replication for backups.

The backups we have been receiving from Veeam Backup Replication on-premise have been good.

The cloud backups from Veeam Backup Replication have not been good. Addiotnaally, the backups of Office 365 and the overall performance can always be improved.

I have been using Veeam Backup Replication for approximately seven years.

We have not encountered any problems with the stability of Veeam Backup Replication.

The scalability is good from Veeam Backup Replication.

Veeam Backup Replication can be quite expensive for Office 365 because its license is per user and not for the space that you use. You need one license for each user. If the user only uses a few files on one hard drive, you need a license to back up these files. It was better to have a license model, such as in the Cohesity solution. Cohesity has a license for a space that you use. It's more useful in this case because the license for backup data is on-premises is for CPU. The license is based on how many CPUs you have but it does not depend on how many users use the CPU. 

I have evaluated Cohesity. I have a demo version that they gave me.

Veeam ONE is being used to monitor our backup and VM servers.

I have been using Veeam ONE for eight years.

The stability of Veeam ONE is good.

Veeam ONE is scalable.

We have four or five people in our IT company that uses the solution.

I have not contacted technical support.

The initial setup is straightforward.

We have one engineer and administrator for the deployment of the solution.

The licenses are code-based or server-based for Veeam ONE. The last version is 12, and it is host-based, I don't like to move to a code-based solution.

We pay for a license annually.

I would recommend this solution to others.

My company is an end user customer of Veeam Backup and Replication and we use it for storing and protecting our server backups.

The advantage of Veeam Backup and Replication is that it is very economical. The price is affordable and the cost benefit is good.

My main concern about Veeam is that I hope our backups will still be secure in the event of a security incident such as a ransomware attack. In Veeam version 11 they do state that there is ransomware protection, but until it has been proven to be effective, I don't have any assurance that it will prevent data loss.

Beyond improving on the security measures, I don't have further expectations for Veeam Backup and Replication.

I have been using Veeam Backup and Replication for two years. 

I have no doubts about the stability of Veeam. 

At the moment it is not necessary for us to scale up our usage of Veeam but I can say that I believe it is very capable of being scaled, should the need arise.

The support we get is very helpful, but it is not through Veeam directly. We use a Veeam partner called Netgroup Solutions to help us and they have been good.

The installation of Veeam Backup and Replication was very easy. 

A nice aspect of Veeam's pricing is that the cost benefit is good. It's very economical.

Veeam Backup and Replication is a good product and I would rate it a ten out of ten.
