What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Cisco Duo is to recommend they use Cisco Duo. My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

I have not implemented Duo's end-to-end phishing resistance, and we don't have capabilities such as proximity verification. I still need to check about using Cisco Identity Intelligence. I have noticed an increase in phishing attacks in my organization recently; the attacks are getting more frequent, which is why we improved the security for 2FA.

I give Cisco Duo an overall review rating of 9.

Security has improved as simple two-factor access protects our small community users
    Pros and Cons
    • "The features of Cisco Duo have benefited our organization in terms of security level because before, it was not secure—anybody could get your password and log in—however, with that second layer of defense, it helps us and helps our community."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Cisco Duo is just as a second-factor authentication.

      What is most valuable?

I am more on the end-user side of Cisco Duo, but I do appreciate that there is an extra layer of security there.

Our team appreciates Cisco Duo's dashboard for identifying security vulnerabilities.

Cisco Duo's trusted endpoint device capabilities have definitely helped improve our organization's security policies, making them significantly better than what they were before.

I use Cisco Duo's push notification method.

Cisco Duo has improved the authentication times across the platforms.

The effectiveness of the single sign-on in reducing login complexities for our users is definitely helpful because we have many users within our community that are not as tech-savvy. The easier the process, the better.

The features of Cisco Duo have benefited our organization in terms of security level. Before, it was not secure—anybody could get your password and log in. However, with that second layer of defense, it helps us and helps our community.

      What needs improvement?

I am not sure how Cisco Duo can be improved. It is working for us. We are a small community with a small network, and I believe it is working the way it is for us.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Cisco Duo for a year, maybe two at most.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have not experienced any downtime, crashes, or performance issues directly related to Cisco Duo.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Cisco Duo fits us very well with our growing needs. There are not really a lot of features that I have heard discussed that are needed. It seems to be functioning as is and fitting us very well.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to adopting Cisco Duo, I was not using another solution to address similar needs.

What other advice do I have?

Regarding Cisco Duo's adaptive authentication feature, I do not use that.

I would describe my experience with deploying Cisco Duo as positive. I am on a different team that does not really deal as much hands-on with the deployment of it. I more or less just see the end-user effects of it, and so far, it seems as though everybody has adapted very well to it.

To my knowledge, there were no challenges faced with the deployment of Cisco Duo.

My advice to another organization that is considering Cisco Duo is that it works and benefits our community. I would suggest that you look at what fits your organization the best, and I would try my best to explain how it has worked for us. I would rate my overall experience with this product an 8.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

      On-premises

Provides secure remote access with detailed user insights and seamless two-factor authentication integration
      Pros and Cons
      • "Cisco Duo is a simple and effective tool that gives detailed information about users who connect to your domain."
      • "There are limitations because Cisco Duo does not support Hotmail accounts, which many people use to log in to their systems."

What is our primary use case?

One year ago, I deployed Cisco Duo for one of my clients at my previous company because we are a Cisco Gold Partner company. My client wanted to deploy Cisco Duo on their remote access VPN. They have a Cisco FTD firewall, and mostly users join on weekends through Cisco AnyConnect. My client requested 2FA for these users, so I deployed the solution.

A few months ago, I worked on Upwork where one of my clients approached me and asked if I could install Cisco Duo for their small cybersecurity company. This presented a good opportunity for me because I am in Pakistan, and my client is in the USA.

      What is most valuable?

Cisco Duo is a simple and effective tool that gives detailed information about users who connect to your domain. You can review the logs, including the public IP that the user uses, which country the user is in, and the city where the user is located. Everything is perfect in the logs. One tab shows that a user, for example Hasnain, is connected through remote access VPN and is using a specific public IP from a particular city in a specific country.

Cisco Duo offers a great logging solution in a Cisco environment. Additionally, Cisco Duo integrates easily with single sign-on apps, and I have used it on the Cisco ISE side because you can add the Cisco Duo address to your ISE and create the same user in both Cisco Duo and Cisco ISE. This makes it easy to manage, as Cisco ISE directly sends requests to Cisco Duo to verify, and the user logs in with a push notification or SMS code.

I am using many features in Cisco Duo, including logging in to Cisco ISE, sending requests when I log in to Cisco FTD through Cisco Duo, and checking 2FA on Cisco AnyConnect. Additionally, I have installed Cisco Duo app on my Windows-based machine, which checks for 2FA notifications every time I reboot the system or press Windows + L. This sends notifications to the cloud to check the username, and it also provides features that ensure the Windows Firewall is always enabled and verify that sensitive data partitions are encrypted. Moreover, it checks that antivirus is properly installed on the system. I also integrate my app within my company and have implemented single sign-on services through Cisco Duo, which is outstanding.

      What needs improvement?

Cisco Duo could improve by considering feedback on features or requests for future releases.

When I worked on Cisco Duo, I encountered a limitation that I want to discuss. When a user logs in on a Windows machine using a Microsoft account, it is easy because you install the installer on your system and generate a code to enroll in Cisco Duo app. However, when I installed the package on the system, the user who was already added on Cisco Duo mobile app faced an issue. When I restarted the system, the screen turned black, and the user got stuck because we could not enter the username and password. After reading Cisco documentation, I learned that they do not support Hotmail addresses. This caused a problem since the user was using a Hotmail account. My client was very understanding about it, but I felt I failed to deploy Cisco Duo effectively. There are limitations because Cisco Duo does not support Hotmail accounts, which many people use to log in to their systems.

The two main limitations on Cisco Duo are first, the requirement to install the installer on my server, and second, that Cisco does not support Hotmail accounts. I regret this limitation due to Cisco not supporting Microsoft accounts.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Cisco Duo in my career for one year.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Cisco Duo provides scalability and smooth integration with some applications.

How are customer service and support?

I have contacted Cisco customer support, which is highly remarkable. I open cases with Cisco regularly, and they provide prompt support for any case. Although I did not open any cases on Cisco Duo specifically, I have worked with many Cisco devices in my current network. Cisco support is notably above average; few companies match Cisco's technical and customer support capabilities when you are stuck on technical or pricing issues.

How would you rate customer service and support?

      Positive

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Regarding the pricing for Cisco Duo, I find that Cisco is always costly. In my current network, I work in a financial institute where we use 2FA for Fortinet, which is easy to deploy but not scalable. Implementing Cisco Duo is more complicated, but when you integrate the solution fully, Cisco provides a very comfortable experience. The pricing comparison shows a great margin as Cisco is costly, while Fortinet is less expensive.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I use Fortinet, which you can ask me about as an alternative two-factor authentication solution.

What other advice do I have?

If you have any questions, you can ask me. I give this review a rating of 8.5 out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

      On-premises

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Elevated security and seamless deployment enhance user and device safety
      Pros and Cons
      • "The UI of Cisco Duo is easy to use, especially the web backend, and it's really intuitive and easy to set up."
      • "Cisco Duo has made us more secure. We've managed to stop some threats with it and keep our users and devices safe."
      • "Cisco Duo can be improved with better ways to set users up. Currently, we might not be doing it perfectly as we're having them email in phone numbers to get them set up with Duo Mobile. I wish there was more of a self-service option than there is currently, at least to my understanding of Duo."

What is our primary use case?

We use Cisco Duo for MFA on all of our devices. We're exploring single sign-on right now, but haven't implemented that yet.

How has it helped my organization?

Cisco Duo has made us more secure. We've managed to stop some threats with it and keep our users and devices safe.

The benefits of a passwordless environment are pretty high. The biggest challenge that made us want to implement it was just the number of password resets that we have had to do. We had to send people to third-party vendors, and there were a lot of complaints. Being able to handle one password or one section makes our life a lot easier as IT, and their life a lot easier knowing exactly who to go to.

      What is most valuable?

The UI of Cisco Duo is easy to use, especially the web backend, and it's really intuitive and easy to set up. The experience with Duo's strong security authentication system has been easy when logging in.

      What needs improvement?

Cisco Duo can be improved with better ways to set users up. Currently, we might not be doing it perfectly as we're having them email in phone numbers to get them set up with Duo Mobile. I wish there was more of a self-service option than there is currently, at least to my understanding of Duo.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Cisco Duo for five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It's pretty good. There was one outage, and they emailed us right away, so we were informed.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Cisco Duo scales really well with the growing needs of our organization. Other than the licensing thing I talked about, we're able to add as many as we want, and we're at a little over a thousand with no issues.

We started with just our public safety departments, such as police and fire, but then we moved to the entire city staff. It went very well.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't used them much, but the one time I did, it was pretty seamless. They got back to us quickly, were nice, and gave us what we needed.

How would you rate customer service and support?

      Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to adopting Cisco Duo, I wasn't using another solution.

      How was the initial setup?

Deploying Cisco Duo has been easy. The biggest challenge is getting all the end users on board, but in terms of software deployment, it's pretty painless.

      What was our ROI?

We've seen ROI with Cisco Duo as it has brought our insurance premium down.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's a bit confusing because we're on a three-year plan with a certain number of licenses, and we've gone over that number. They told us that when we renew, they will add all these licenses. We've expanded quickly, so everyone's kind of scared because no one knows what the bill is with the long pricing cycle. We know what it's going to be-ish, but until we get the bill, it's kind of rough.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We considered Okta and Entra ID from Microsoft before selecting Cisco Duo. Cisco Duo looks modern, which I know is a weird one, but we have to think about the end user and what they see. There is also the ease of use. It seemed to fit seamlessly and had the most features. We already use other Cisco products. So using another Cisco product seemed like a no-brainer for us.

What other advice do I have?

Single sign-on would make things easier. We have a lot of different departments. They all have different needs. They use a lot of different programs. Single sign-on will be helpful for us.

Cisco Identity Intelligence’s capability to detect and respond to identity-based risks effectively is very good. We're exploring using that a little bit more. It's always great to be able to look through and see if people's devices are out of date and things like that, for addressing security concerns.

My advice to other organizations considering Cisco Duo is to do it. It's easy and was the option that fitted our needs the best. It was also painless. What more can we ask for?

I would rate Cisco Duo a nine out of ten.

Single sign-on has simplified daily access while push authentication keeps accounts secure
      Pros and Cons
      • "The features I value most about Cisco Duo are the push notification and the ability to select how I want to authenticate, and I primarily use the push method."
      • "Cisco Duo is a really good product and I am very happy with it, but sometimes we have to authenticate multiple times, which may be part of our administration."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Cisco Duo is authentication to the applications in our infrastructure.

How has it helped my organization?

These features have benefited our organization by allowing us to implement single sign-on across the entire organization for multiple applications.

      What is most valuable?

The features I value most about Cisco Duo are the push notification and the ability to select how I want to authenticate, and I primarily use the push method.

Cisco Duo's trusted endpoint device capabilities give us secure access to our apps and guarantee that we are accessing our apps and not something else, keeping us from being phished.

I assess the effectiveness of single sign-on in reducing login complexities for my users as something I absolutely love, and it has definitely given me efficiency in my daily workflow.

      What needs improvement?

Cisco Duo is a really good product and I am very happy with it, but sometimes we have to authenticate multiple times, which may be part of our administration. Being able to reduce the number of times that you have to authenticate would be an improvement.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Cisco Duo for about two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I assess the stability and reliability of Cisco Duo as being very consistent, as I have not experienced any downtime, crashes, or performance issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Cisco Duo scales with the growing needs of our organization very well so far.

We have expanded usage, and the process was rolled out very quickly, with only a one-month trial before it was rolled out to the entire company.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to adopting Cisco Duo, I do not know what the performance cost would be related to, but I know that we used Okta prior to Cisco Duo, and I believe we use them in conjunction with each other now.

      What about the implementation team?

I was not part of the deployment team for Cisco Duo.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I was not part of the selection process for Cisco Duo, although we do use Okta as well.

What other advice do I have?

I do not assess the impact of Cisco Duo's dashboards on identifying security vulnerabilities because I do not look at them; I am just an end user of the product and do not use it from that respect, so I am not part of the IT team that analyzes that particular telemetry.

I do not use Cisco Duo's adaptive authentication feature.

I use Cisco Duo's push notification method, and it has improved authentication times across platforms by being faster.

      I would rate this product a 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Push notifications improve security and convenience for faculty and staff
      Pros and Cons
      • "The feature of Cisco Duo that I appreciate most is the push notifications. They are great."
      • "Cisco Duo could be improved if there were a way to make two-factor authentication quicker."
      • "Regarding the stability and reliability of the Cisco Duo solution, we have experienced some outages over the last few years that are significant because people can't log in."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Cisco Duo is that we use it for two-factor authentication for all of our faculty and staff. We don't use it for our students, however, we implement it for faculty and staff.

How has it helped my organization?

The features of Cisco Duo improve our company by increasing security since they're relatively simple to use.

      What is most valuable?

The feature of Cisco Duo that I appreciate most is the push notifications. They are great. I'm glad that they can be accessed from my watch personally. Many of our staff use the phone calls so they can just answer and press one without needing to pull out their mobile phone and get the code.

From a management perspective, I appreciate that we can enroll or control devices on the back end for people who get a new phone and forget to handle Cisco Duo properly and need to add a new device.

It makes logging in easier than alternatives.

      What needs improvement?

Cisco Duo could be improved if there were a way to make two-factor authentication quicker. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to jump from page to page during its login flow.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Cisco Duo since probably 2020. It's hard to determine the exact timing with COVID. That's when everything started.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Regarding the stability and reliability of the Cisco Duo solution, we have experienced some outages over the last few years that are significant because people can't log in.

While we wouldn't want those outages, they haven't been catastrophic or terrible enough to make us consider looking elsewhere.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Cisco Duo scales with the growing needs of my company. While we don't grow significantly as a university compared to some other companies, it scales appropriately for our size.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't had to interact much with customer service and technical support of the solution, so I don't have substantial feedback to provide.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We use two solutions on campus: Cisco Duo for faculty and staff, and Microsoft Authenticator for students. The main difference between the two is that Cisco Duo appears more reliable. Microsoft Authenticator seems to have more friction and breaks down more frequently, meaning users might complete the authentication flow but still not authenticate properly.

Our students use Microsoft Authenticator, and we get more negative feedback from that than we do from Cisco Duo. Cisco Duo works better than Microsoft Authenticator. Not everybody prefers two-factor authentication, however, Cisco Duo has the least friction of the two solutions we use.

      How was the initial setup?

The deployment experience of Cisco Duo was relatively easy compared to other similar projects we've rolled out. This implementation seemed straightforward.

      What about the implementation team?

We had good support and guidance with the implementation, and we relied heavily on skilled people at Cisco to help us implement it properly.

      What was our ROI?

Regarding the return on investment when using Cisco Duo, separate from the financial aspect, I cannot answer that thoroughly.

It seems valuable and performs better than our other solution for faculty and staff, so I would hope it provides a better return on investment. I'm not familiar with the financial details.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have not considered other solutions while using Cisco Duo in the last five years.

What other advice do I have?

In evaluating the benefit of having a complete passwordless environment in my company, we're not entirely passwordless since we use Cisco Duo for two-factor authentication. We still authenticate with a password before being moved to a Cisco Duo page. If there's a passwordless feature, we're not utilizing it.

Regarding challenges when using Cisco Duo, issues are usually client-side related, such as someone's phone not working correctly.

Regarding Advanced Identity Threat Detection and Response in Cisco Duo, I don't believe we utilize it. I have received inquiries when I've authenticated from new locations, however, I'm not certain if that's part of this feature.

My impression of Cisco Identity Intelligence's capability to detect and respond to identity-based risks is satisfactory.

I have not used Cisco Duo's conversational AI interface for admin tasks.

I would rate Cisco Duo overall as probably an eight out of ten.

Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

My experience with Cisco Duo's strong security authentication system has been easy; logging in is straightforward.

        What needs improvement?

I do not think about how Cisco Duo can be improved right now, including additional features or enhancements.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Cisco Duo for about six months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would assess the stability and reliability of Cisco Duo as pretty stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Cisco Duo scales with the growing needs of my organization; we haven't seen any complexity or issues so far.

How are customer service and support?

I evaluate customer service and technical support as quite good.

How would you rate customer service and support?

        Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before adopting Cisco Duo, I was using a homegrown solution to address similar needs. I transitioned from our homegrown solution to Cisco Duo because it's Cisco; we've been using Cisco products for some time.

        What was our ROI?

I have definitely seen ROI by using Cisco Duo because we used to have our own homegrown solution, and this is far better than that.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup, costs, and licensing is that I do not get into pricing much; I leave it to procurement, but I think it's very competitive.

We use other Cisco products such as firewalls, and I find them competitively positioned, although I need to watch out for companies such as Palo Alto, as prices vary across different companies.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have not considered any specific products to use instead of Cisco Duo.

What other advice do I have?

We have a few employees using the traditional way of accessing and securing, which had some challenges; before the solution, people put a lot of effort in, and that's one advantage we have using Cisco Duo.

The flexibility and integration of Cisco Duo were a big advantage when selecting it over other solutions, and specifically, we can introduce user-level security for specific databases.

My experience with performance, cost, support, and scalability is that performance is quite good, and I do not see any issues with scalability. My experience with deploying Cisco Duo is positive; we got good support from Cisco. I would definitely recommend it to other organizations considering Cisco Duo.

I would rate Cisco Duo overall a nine.

Offers strong security and ease of use
        Pros and Cons
        • "It is very easy. Having just wrapped up my tenure at Cisco, it was used day in and day out for security. It was always easy to log in and not have to worry about logging in multiple times."
        • "As a former employee, I think it's top-notch when it comes to protecting internal and external threats and preventing unauthorized access to the network."
        • "Cisco Duo could be improved, possibly by adding features for the healthcare space. If you're selling something to a healthcare provider, there needs to be consideration for how to launch Cisco Duo with a handheld device that is not native, where you can install the application."

What is our primary use case?

The main use cases for Cisco Duo are for multi-factor authentication and being able to bring your own devices securely.

We don't use Cisco Duo in our organization. We sell the product to our customers.

        What is most valuable?

It is very easy. Having just wrapped up my tenure at Cisco, it was used day in and day out for security. It was always easy to log in and not have to worry about logging in multiple times.

As a former employee, I think it's top-notch when it comes to protecting internal and external threats and preventing unauthorized access to the network.

        What needs improvement?

Cisco Duo could be improved, possibly by adding features for the healthcare space. If you're selling something to a healthcare provider, there needs to be consideration for how to launch Cisco Duo with a handheld device that is not native, where you can install the application.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been working with Cisco Duo for at least four or five years.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate their technical support a seven out of ten based on how they respond to issues.

How would you rate customer service and support?

        Neutral

        What was our ROI?

There is certainly ROI with Cisco Duo, assuming that you can get the other MFA type products uninstalled, and customers truly understand why they purchased Cisco Duo in the first place.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

From a reseller perspective, it's still challenging to explain the whole license strategy to a client, so we really have to be ahead of that for all the true forward conversations.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did not consider many other solutions before Cisco Duo. I am biased towards Cisco because I came from Cisco, so I am more familiar with it.

What other advice do I have?

The benefit of having a complete passwordless environment is more of a conversation that we have with our clients. There is ease of use. We focus on what outcomes they are trying to achieve with the different personas they're using and the security protection in their workplace. There aren't any disadvantages to the passwordless environment, but it all boils down to what our customers are saying about the product that we sell to them. I haven't heard anything negative about Cisco Duo.

I would rate Cisco Duo overall an eight out of ten.

Authentication has become seamless as push approvals cut costs and simplify everyday access
        Pros and Cons
        • "Cisco Duo has improved my operational efficiency and reduced costs in areas such as authentication, IT support, and security operations, as the ability to use App Push eliminated the need for text messages and additional costs for messaging, also lowering IT support costs because of the simplicity for the end-user experience."
        • "Microsoft is somehow making it harder for Cisco Duo to do its job seamlessly with some of the hooks that Microsoft has in the OAuth connection."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Cisco Duo is authentication.

        What is most valuable?

The feature I like the most about Cisco Duo is App Push.

Cisco Duo's App Push feature allows me to authenticate from my Apple Watch.

Cisco Duo has improved my operational efficiency and reduced costs in areas such as authentication, IT support, and security operations, as the ability to use App Push eliminated the need for text messages and additional costs for messaging, also lowering IT support costs because of the simplicity for the end-user experience.

        What needs improvement?

I cannot think of any improvements or additional features that should be included in the next release of Cisco Duo.

However, I would say that Microsoft is somehow making it harder for Cisco Duo to do its job seamlessly with some of the hooks that Microsoft has in the OAuth connection.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Cisco Duo for 15 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have not experienced any downtime, crashes, or performance issues with Cisco Duo.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Cisco Duo scales well with the growing needs of my organization, as the fact that Cisco is continuing to invest in Duo and bring things such as agentic authentication to the table allows us to continue using Cisco Duo.

I am not aware of any expanded usage of Cisco Duo yet.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to adopting Cisco Duo, I was not using another solution to address similar needs, as Cisco Duo was the first two-factor authentication that I am aware of us using.

        What about the implementation team?

As my organization adopts and deploys AI agents, we have a team tackling the issue of agentic IAM to ensure that these non-human identities are secure, and Cisco Duo is a key part of the authentication strategy.

        What was our ROI?

Cisco Duo has improved my operational efficiency and reduced costs in areas such as authentication, IT support, and security operations, as the ability to use App Push eliminated the need for text messages and additional costs for messaging, also lowering IT support costs because of the simplicity for the end-user experience.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I do not recall what other solutions we were considering before selecting Cisco Duo, but I think we made a good choice with Cisco Duo.

Microsoft was not one of those we considered; my search predates Microsoft's offerings in identity.

What other advice do I have?

If Cisco Duo were removed, the impact on my ability to manage and secure access across my entire identity ecosystem would be that I would have to use something else.

I have no idea what steps my organization has taken to become more resistant to phishing attacks, and I am unsure how Cisco Duo's broader security approach has contributed to that effort.

I have no idea what types of phishing or credential-based attacks I was concerned about before implementing Cisco Duo, and I do not know how those threats have evolved.

Thus far, to my knowledge, we are using Cisco Duo primarily for human users, and I do not know that we have started for agentic users.

Cisco Duo has helped me evolve my IAM strategy from simple authentication to a more comprehensive identity security platform, as the more capable platform offers us more capable features.

When evaluating my identity strategy, I was initially looking for a point product, but as Cisco Duo has evolved from a point product into more of a platform, it has become more useful.

        I rate this review a 10.

Strong security controls have met strict financial compliance and simplify multifactor access
        Pros and Cons
        • "Cisco Duo is very easy to deploy and the documentation is very thorough, which makes deployment straightforward."
        • "Compared to other vendors, Cisco Duo is on the pricey end."

What is our primary use case?

I usually work with clients in the financial sector. Many of those clients need to meet certain security requirements that are mandated by their auditor or recommended by their auditor, which is dual multifactor authentication. That is usually the reason why they first look at Cisco Duo, and then I pitch Cisco Duo to those customers for authentication into most of their financial applications as well as VPN access.

It is very commonly used for VPN access.

        What is most valuable?

I think seamless login, as well as less administrative overhead in terms of managing users and their login credentials and passwords, and tighter security are valuable.

The main thing is it helps the customers meet their security requirements.

Cisco Duo is very easy to deploy. The documentation is very thorough, which makes deployment straightforward.

        What needs improvement?

The only area I could think of is support for more applications. Cisco Duo already covers a wide range of apps, especially the common ones, but there is always room to add more.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have 27 years of experience in this field. I have been using Cisco Duo for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Cisco Duo has excellent stability, as is usual with Cisco products.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I work for a company that is a Cisco Duo reseller, so scalability has not been an issue.

How are customer service and support?

The customer service has been excellent.

How would you rate customer service and support?

        Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have never used a previous solution before Cisco Duo.

        How was the initial setup?

        What about the implementation team?

Since the company I work for is a Cisco Duo reseller, I did not need an external implementation team.

        What was our ROI?

The return on investment is positive and is not a problem.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Compared to other vendors, Cisco Duo is on the pricey end. However, the other vendors do not have the wide range of features that Cisco Duo offers.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

There are no alternate solutions that I can think of.

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

        Other
