Oracle HCM Cloud is used for enterprise expenses and modules. It is also used for managing the workforce's jobs, positions, and roles.

Once all the necessary configurations are in place, users can expect a smooth experience while using the solution
Pros and Cons
- "The initial setup or implementation process of the solution is fine. The deployment process took place in two days. So, once one has the runbook and everything in place, it is not that difficult."
- "Exposure to users on the volume or utilization of servers and memory is necessary. Currently, when users hit the threshold, the system experiences a slowdown."
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
Oracle HCM Cloud offers several valuable features, including financial, procurement, and expense clouds. Additionally, the solution's ability to manage employee churn rate, expense reporting, and user-friendliness are noteworthy features. For financial management, users can integrate with a subscription through the Accounting Hub. The procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes are seamless in Oracle HCM Cloud. Once all configurations are in place, users can enjoy a smooth experience. Also, the solution's performance is very good.
What needs improvement?
It requires to improve its SaaS products, cash flows, and delivery APIs as we are encountering 500 or 404 errors within our organization. Additionally, enhancements must be made to the SaaS API and Oracle ERP Cloud. Having a tool for continuous integration and deployment would also be beneficial. Moreover, limitations related to file size need to be addressed. Exposure to users on the volume or utilization of servers and memory is necessary. Currently, when users hit the threshold, the system experiences a slowdown. Therefore, Oracle should provide users with information on their utilization and threshold limits, such as increasing memory or scaling up or down on CPUs. We are looking for such recommendations from Oracle.
For how long have I used the solution?
Our company has been using Oracle HCM Cloud, and in a couple of months, it will mark the completion of two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is a stable solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Oracle HCM Cloud is a scalable solution, especially since the cloud version is scalable vertically and horizontally. In our organization, more than 100 employees use the solution. Also, in our organization, we do have plans to increase its usage.
How are customer service and support?
At our workplace, we have contacted Oracle's technical support. I rate the solution's technical support a seven out of ten. I would like to see the support for API integration improve.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
In PeopleSoft, we are using its financials. Currently, we migrated to an ERP solution. So, we are just using the PeopleTools and the application, in which the tools can be upgraded. In my organization, we have a large user base where we integrate the data with Workday. PeopleSoft HCM and Workday were the options we were using before choosing Oracle HCM Cloud. So, we moved away from PeopleSoft and implemented Oracle Cloud ERP, and that's when we bought Oracle HCM Cloud. The main reason for doing so was the expenses.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup or implementation process of the solution is fine. The deployment process took place in two days. So, once one has the runbook and everything in place, it is not that difficult.
What was our ROI?
It has only been 18 months since implementation. So, it is too early to calculate the ROI. We need another six months to consider the ROI calculation.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Though I cannot comment on the solution's cost, a fixed cost is involved based on my understanding. The cost multiplies based on the number of users.
What other advice do I have?
Oracle HCM Cloud can be a viable option for organizations, provided the configurations and rules are properly implemented. The solution tends to work better when an organization does not have much employee turnover or churn rate. However, once a year, in the event of a churn-out of 60,000 employees in a single day, there may be delays in synchronizing certain details. Overall, I rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Useful customization, helpful dashboards, and responsive support
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable feature of Oracle HCM Cloud is the dashboards, customization, and configuration."
- "The support from Oracle HCM Cloud is great, they are responsive and helpful. However, they still could improve."
What is our primary use case?
I use Oracle HCM Cloud mostly for the general HR modules.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of Oracle HCM Cloud is the dashboards, customization, and configuration.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Oracle HCM Cloud for a couple of years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability of Oracle HCM Cloud is good.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Oracle HCM Cloud is a scalable solution.
There are approximately 4,000 to 5,000 people using this solution in my organization.
How are customer service and support?
The support from Oracle HCM Cloud is great, they are responsive and helpful. However, they still could improve.
I rate the support from Oracle HCM Cloud a nine out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have previously used Workday and SAP. SAP is a more fixed-based solution rather than cloud-based and is an older system. When we were looking to upgrade to the cloud we wanted something different, it came down to a comparison between Oracle HCM Cloud and Workday.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Oracle HCM Cloud is straightforward. The deployment takes a couple of days.
What about the implementation team?
The implementation of the solution is done by a third party we pair up with.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The price of Oracle HCM Cloud could improve. However, everyone would like the price of a solution they are using to be less expensive.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We evaluated Workday and SAP before choosing Oracle HCM Cloud.
What other advice do I have?
All solutions have room for improvement and there are lots of solutions coming out with additional enhanced usability or capability at the moment. The reason a lot of people have moved on from SAP is that they didn't stay with the times and the likes of Workday and Oracle filled in that gap by being able to provide something that was more modern, and more on trend at that point in time. It is important to keep up to date with those trends.
I rate Oracle HCM Cloud an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Delivery Manager at a computer software company with 1,001-5,000 employees
Robust and dependable but lacks relevancy for the current generation
Pros and Cons
- "Robust and very dependable."
- "Lacks relevancy for the current generation."
What is our primary use case?
We are customers of Oracle and I'm employed as the delivery manager.
What is most valuable?
This solution is valuable because it's robust and very dependable.
What needs improvement?
We now have Oracle Cloud Recruiter which is an upgraded version of Fusion. It requires a separate implementation rather than being an upgrade from the older version. It more or less requires an additional investment from us for another round of implementation. That migration is challenging. Fusion is more of a traditional solution so I'd like to see them include anything that will make it relevant for the current generation. Navigation currently requires more steps than it should.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using this solution for five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is scalable, we have around 5500 users.
How are customer service and support?
Some of the support staff are really good. We have issues when they hand off an outstanding issue to the next person.
How was the initial setup?
When we implemented it was really difficult. We used third parties to implement but the job wasn't sufficient for our needs. HCM can't be deployed in-house which means dependency on implementation partners. If they are not adequately capable, it costs us. We had a very difficult experience with our initial deployment. Maintenance is directly relational to the usage and I'm not getting good mileage out of that.
What was our ROI?
Our ROI is okay but it's not in line with what we would like to see or have going forward and that's the challenge. If I want to get a good ROI, I have to invest in improvements. I don't have great mileage as things stand. The solution needs constant feeding and constant spending.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It's difficult to assess whether this is an expensive solution. Salesforce, for example, costs about $100+ per month, but it has significant business visibility in terms of revenue, along with great extension ability. Fusion costs less but the usage is low because there's little to entice our employees to access it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Salesforce is the main competitor in this field and always comes out on top for us because of its customer support and speed in responding to and resolving any issues. They are very quick. SalesForce is also one of the best in terms of a solution of our choice, probably followed by NetSuite. Fusion lacks sufficient ability.
What other advice do I have?
I rate this solution six out of 10 because it's lacking in certain areas and not at the cutting edge in terms of market needs. I've seen many other tools that really serve our needs but we don't have that here because of their old-fashioned approach.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud

A cloud-based human capital management platform with useful interfaces
Pros and Cons
- "I like the interfaces, and they are fine. I would like to see more interfaces."
- "The data uploading part and backup could be better. They are a bit complex. Oracle is continuously changing it from one functionality to another. It's a bit unstable right now, and it's basically on the backend data upload part. If I have to upload, for example, data for 100 employees, it's a bit of a challenge for an end-user. It can be difficult if you're not a technical person and an end-user like me. I administer the platform, and if I get a request to upload and I'm not a technical person, then I'm just lost. I have to do some research and then complete the task. But it's evolving, and I hope it's more user-friendly in the future. In the next release, I would like a more stable mobile application. The current version isn't very stable. It takes time to open, and although they have come up with new UI pages, a few open areas need to be addressed. I would also like to see more robust and user-friendly data uploading techniques that would be helpful for end users like us. We don't have a technical background, and we just want to upload the data for our day-to-day operations."

For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Oracle HCM Cloud for four or five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Oracle HCM Cloud is a stable product.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Oracle HCM Cloud is highly scalable. It can cater to 50 employees or 15,000. That's how many users we have currently, so I think it's fine.
How are customer service and support?
Technical support is good, but sometimes it takes time. The solution provider is accurate, but sometimes it takes time to make them understand what we are facing. Once the issue is clear and understood, they provide a high-quality solution.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward. We implemented this solution in 2016 or 2017. I think it took about eight to nine months to deploy this solution.
What about the implementation team?
Our in-house team deployed this solution. One or two people can maintain Oracle HCM Cloud. If it's on a daily basis, the issue can be resolved pretty quickly.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I don't know how much it costs, but I know that everything is included. We don't pay anything extra apart from the licensing fee.
What other advice do I have?
I would tell potential users that not every requirement can be fulfilled. It's best to keep customizations to a minimum. If the product is used as it is, I think it could be much easier to maintain.
On a scale from one to ten, I would give Oracle HCM Cloud an eight.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Integrates well, high availability, and suitable for large sized companies
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable feature of Oracle HCM Cloud is its integration."
- "Oracle HCM Cloud could improve by adding AI and more offline capabilities."
What is our primary use case?
We were using Oracle HCM Cloud for many tasks, such as procurement, and supply chain risk management.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of Oracle HCM Cloud is its integration.
What needs improvement?
Oracle HCM Cloud could improve by adding AI and more offline capabilities.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Oracle HCM Cloud for approximately eight years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is scalable. The solution is best suited for mid-sized to large companies.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have previously used NetSuite and SAP Business One.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Oracle HCM Cloud is complex. It is complex for coding and creating. The solution is highly flexible and has many features with the configuration making it more complex than the NetSuite. The configuration setup takes time.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The price for Oracle HCM Cloud is expensive in Iran, but in other countries, such as Turkey, it can be reasonably priced.
There are times when the deployment requirements can change and in some cases, we need to have a lot of customization and personalization. This can increase the time the project takes and the cost of the project.
There are some projects where we need third-party software. For example, in a large Turkey and Dubai company, we use the time and labor inside Oracle, but for the others, we didn't use them. We have to create it in-house or we can buy the missing tool from another company. The integration from these third-party companies costs money.
What other advice do I have?
We make a lot of effort in finding what is the best suitable solution for a company. I would recommend others to do their best and research what solution best suits their company's use case and proceed from there.
I rate Oracle HCM Cloud a nine out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud

Senior Finance Project Manager at a tech services company with 11-50 employees
Stability issues, sporadic performance, but strong governance background
Pros and Cons
- "Our overall evaluation of Oracle HCM Cloud as a general ledger tool is mixed. It is a comprehensive and versatile piece of software."
- "We have received some unfavorable feedback regarding Oracle HCM Cloud's performance. This has led us to investigate alternative solutions. In my own experience, I have struggled with the slowness of the cloud assessment and the overwhelming complexity of the software's robust architecture. I have reservations about sharing any positive experiences I may have had with the solution."
What is our primary use case?
We are the finance department for an insurance company. We use Oracle HCM Cloud for general ledger and for bookkeeping purposes.
We sometimes use Oracle HCM Cloud for expense reimbursements, procurements, and HR-related items, such as annual leave, tracking, and terminations.
How has it helped my organization?
Oracle HCM Cloud helped our organization in terms of the governance structure. It has a strong governance background and has helped us to form a solid structure and approval flow to help us to maintain all the controls over our typical processes.
What is most valuable?
Our overall evaluation of Oracle HCM Cloud as a general ledger tool is mixed. It is a comprehensive and versatile piece of software.
What needs improvement?
We have received some unfavorable feedback regarding Oracle HCM Cloud's performance. This has led us to investigate alternative solutions. In my own experience, I have struggled with the slowness of the cloud assessment and the overwhelming complexity of the software's robust architecture. I have reservations about sharing any positive experiences I may have had with the solution.
There are too many functions in the backend of Oracle HCM Cloud, and sometimes, we cannot disable some functions to help us to streamline or to speed up the loading process.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Oracle HCM Cloud for approximately three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
On the backend, we have not experienced any difficulties, such as data loss or unexpected downtime. However, the user interface presents various issues such as server connection problems and errors, resulting in the need to close our browser and wait for several minutes before reconnecting to the cloud.
The connection issue seems to only affect this particular software as we have not experienced any problems connecting to other websites. As for performance, some backend batch processes, such as the data model, run efficiently which is a positive aspect. However, when heavily utilizing the user interface, batch problems seem to occur frequently.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability of the solution is wonderful, we use the integration cloud.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used other similar solutions.
How was the initial setup?
The installation of Oracle HCM Cloud is difficult. It took us eight months to implement and three months of operations.
I rate the initial setup of Oracle HCM Cloud a three out of ten.
What about the implementation team?
We use the help from Oracle HCM Cloud for the implementation.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The data traffic cost is expensive. The solution can scale up beyond my imagination, but the cost can rise up easily.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We evaluated NetSuite.
What other advice do I have?
We have a team of five that does the maintenance of the solution.
My advice to others is for them to try out the solution to see if it fits their use case.
I rate Oracle HCM Cloud a five out of ten.

We used a third-party consultant to assist us with the deployment.
What was our ROI?
The company had seen a return on investment while using this solution.
