I'm not doing anything with the the solution right now. I'm just using them for database purposes. We store databases there and applications.

The solution saves our organization some money as we don't need to store to a physical machine.

The solution gives me everything which is no physical machine gives, however, it is much easier to relocate to do anything with it. 

The solution offers the normal benefits of a virtual machine versus a physical, actual machine. It doesn't take up space, for example.

Sometimes, when we shut it down, it doesn't properly shut down for us.

If we need to back it up, would be even better if we could do a backup when the files are open and the applications are working. If the solution itself had that capability to backup everything consistently, across all the files, across the system just as we are using the product, then it would have huge benefits, even more than it has today. It would mean that I would not need to purchase any other party third-party products to ensure that my application or my database will work after I back it up and start it up. 

It would be ideal if they could capture everything and then timestamp and back up everything up to that timestamp. Then I would not need other products and I could just use this, which would be better.

I'm currently using the solution. I've been using it over the past 12 months at least.

The stability seems to be pretty good. I haven't had issues with bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It seems to be reliable.

I'm not sure if we have plans to increase usage. I don't make that decision in the organization.

I have a systems admin who maybe has reached out to technical support in the past. I have not, personally. I find my systems admin quite knowledgeable. When I asked him something, he knows what to do right away. I'm not sure how many cases he's faced, where he did not know the answer and then had to go somewhere to get it.

Therefore, I can't really speak to any knowledge of technical support. I don't know how they are, to be honest.

I don't really handle the installation process. I can't speak to how difficult or easy the implementation process is.

Overall, I would rate the solution at a nine out of ten.

We use this product for backing up on-premises virtual servers. We have virtual servers at our two sites that we back up, and we also replicate them between each other.

Compared to other products, Veeam has a lot of features for the price.

I would like to see better features for exporting to cloud-based repositories.

Having reduced pricing for smaller businesses would be helpful.

We have been using Veeam Backup & Replication for approximately 10 years.

This product is very stable.

There are two of us, myself and my colleague, who use this solution in our company.

I have been in contact with technical support and they are very good.

I find the installation fairly easy, although I've been working with it for quite a while.

This product is not cheap, but it's well worth the cost.

I am looking forward to a new feature that is coming out in version 11 that allows you to lock your backups in a Linux backup repository. This will stop ransomware from destroying your backups.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Our primary use case is for the backup of our virtual machines.

The most valuable feature is the continuous backup.

At this point, my only complaint is about the licensing costs. We have not experienced any technical problems.

In the future, I would like to see better support for direct backup to tape.

We have been using Veeam Backup & Replication for two weeks.

This is a stable product and we haven't had any problems.

Our installation is not very large, so scaling is no issue.

We have seven users who are operators.

We have not needed to contact support.

The initial setup was straightforward and the deployment was quite quick.

We did the implementation ourselves.

Our licensing fees are paid yearly and the cost is about $12,000 Swiss Francs ($17,400 USD).

We did evaluate other options before adopting Veeam.

This is absolutely a product that I recommend.

We use Veeam for the backup and recovery of our production environment.

The most valuable feature is the ability to restore the VMs into a test environment.

Some of the best practice documentation could be improved.

The stability is perfect and we have not had any problems with it.

With respect to how much we use this solution, we don't expect to increase it. Rather, we're just going to keep our usage the same that we have.

Their support is pretty good and I haven't had any issues with it.

The initial setup is pretty straightforward.

I am the only one in the organization who uses the software.

Overall, we are happy with this software and have not found any limitations to it.

We develop our own replication solutions for the IBM i platform. Our product is called Maxava. We have 500 customers using that for disaster recovery, data replication. We use Veeam in-house for our Windows replication.

I am not a direct user of this product, but my technical guys tell me that they like the product, and it is easy to use. We don't have any issues with it.

It would be nice if it could be integrated with third-party solutions like ours. It has been supporting just Windows and virtual machines.

I have been using this solution for about five years.

It is stable. I am not aware of any issues.

It is scalable. We're just using it in-house. We have maybe 20 to 23 users that we support on it.

Our guys have probably talked to support from time to time, but I haven't seen any issues raised about it or anything like that. So, I presume it's all pretty good.

It was pretty easy and straightforward.

Its pricing is really good.

I would recommend this solution. From my point of view, I haven't had any issues with it.

I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a seven out of ten.

We use this solution for deploying machine backup and for recovery from a disaster recovery site. We also use it for file backup. For the database backup, we use the software embedded in the SQL Server.

Its stability and scalability were the main reasons for going for this solution. It is highly scalable, and its stability is also powerful.

It has a friendly interface, and its monitoring and performance are the best in the market.

The orchestration feature can be improved. They can improve the virtual machine orchestration to make it similar to VMware. They can also provide an option to automate the backup and recovery and schedule a backup.

I have been using this solution for three years.

It is very stable. This is the main reason why we chose Veeam for this client and not VMware.

It is very scalable. This is another reason why we chose Veeam for backup and recovery for this client. It allows us to scale to many other projects. This project is very big. It involves more than 70 virtual machines in the production environment, and it is possible to scale to more than 100 virtual machines.

We didn't face any problems with this solution. 

In the past, we also used VMware orchestration for VMware backup and recovery. Veeam is more stable and scalable, and its price is more attractive than VMware.

It was easy for our deployment engineers. The deployment took a maximum of one week. In my company, probably seven engineers are in charge of this. My company has been a large integrator in Romania, and we have expertise in many areas of IT. We have five to seven people for each subdomain in IT.

Its price is reasonable for a big company or a big client. It is not too much. It is cheaper than VMware.

We tested VMware and Veeam solutions, and we chose Veeam for this project because our client is a public institution and required a very stable solution. Veeam is more stable than VMware, and our client preferred Veeam.

I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten. There are some features that they need to improve in Veeam, but it is perfect for most of the companies in Romania.

In most cases, we use Veeam Backup Replication for backup and recovery. In some literal cases, we use it for replication and statics.

I have a problem with the VM. When we started doing a backup, it takes a snapshot for our virtual machines, but when we try it two or three times, in some cases, our virtual machines go to a consolidated state. I don't know why this problem happens. But I still think Veeam is a top-ranking solution.

I don't know why this VM problem happens. Sometimes, I think it's because of our environments and performance. I have a little bit of a performance problem when VMs back up. I don't think it's optimized in our environment because of that. 

It doesn't have any reporting in it. The reporting and GUI interface can be improved. 

I have been using Veeam for three to four years. 

We don't have support in my country because of sanctions. 

The initial setup for a simple environment is very easy. We just do next, next, next, next for the installation. It can be complicated in a complicated environment. It can be simple for a simple environment. I enjoy installing it. It has a lot of features. 

It's very expensive. 

It's important that the IT staff had training for VMs. There are many webinars and training courses. My staff doesn't think there is much of a need for training. They just do next, next, next.

I would rate Veeam Backup Replication an eight out of ten. It's the best. It has simplified administration, simple installation, and a simple interface.

I would recommend Veeam Backup Replication. It's good for our virtualization environments. 

We are using this solution to back up all of the critical VMs and the critical server. It's applied on the server.

It's doing a good job.

Azure Cloud version support requires improvement. The on-premises is doing well.

I don't think that it is really ready. 

Ideally, the cloud version and the on-premises version can be managed through the same interface, but that is not the case with their cloud-native implementation. The cloud-native solution is completely disconnected from the on-premise solution. This is an area that needs to improve.

When we started to talk to them about the cloud, we were under the impression that it's was going to be the same console, and everything would be the same, but that is not the case.

The cloud offering as a SaaS and the integration with the cloud providers. We work with Azure, and I think they need better integration with Azure. 

Also, the consolidation between the on-premises solution and those going to the cloud should have the same user experience. That will allow them to manage two environments in the same place. That would be a very good feature to offer, and it would be helpful. 

If they could offer that feature it would probably put them ahead of their competitors.

The Cloud version is not ready, they need maturity and ease of deployment in terms of management.

We have been using Veeam Backup & Replication in our organization for approximately six years.

It is very stable.

It's scalable.

We have a maximum of five users who system administrators. They are managing this solution and operating it.

They provide good technical support and we are satisfied with the support we have received.

I am not aware of what the organization had in place before I arrive. Veeam Backup & Replication was already in place before I arrived.

The initial setup was straightforward.

I was not a part of the on-premises deployment, so I am not sure how long it took. I don't have an answer for that.

We don't require any staff to maintain this solution.

We had the help of a reseller and the experience was good.

I don't know what the costs are for sure, but I think that it's on a yearly basis.

I don't think there are any costs in addition to the standard licensing fee.

In the near future, we will deploy the cloud version.

I would rate the Veeam Backup Replication on-premises version a ten out of ten, and for the Cloud version specifically with Azure, I would rate them a four out of ten.

I don't know how it performs with other Cloud providers.
