It is way easier to take backup with Veeam Backup & Replication than the regular ones.

They can improve the features and Veeam Enterprise Manager. The interface and features are kind of limited. It would be good if they can provide more features and a better interface. For example, if I want to provide certain users with the privilege to back up and restore and do day-to-day tasks, I cannot do it in the current version. It is like you either give everything to everyone or no user can have access to anything.

In version 9, a lot of features were missing, and it wasn't clear. Version 10 is easier from the communication perspective, and the disk backup option is very clear.

I have been using Veeam Backup & Replication for three years.

It is very stable.

It is scalable. On our site, we are using it for almost 300 people.

They are fast and good.

The initial setup is very straightforward.

I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten.

I like the Acronis backup solutions on the block-based part of backups. That is a functionality that Veeam does not provide. 

Otherwise, I don't see any additional improvements in Veeam because they are very good. It integrates very well with Microsoft applications. Veeam is very user friendly and you don't need to have certifications to work on it.

I have been working with Veeam Backup and Replication for the past four years.

I think that the scalability is very good. We can't compare it. The only problem that users may face with Veeam, is if people do not size it correctly, which can cause performance issues.

Cloud backup on AWS Azure is also fantastic. It backs up applications, such as Oracle SAP, as well.

The technical support is very good. They provide solutions immediately and they tell the customer exactly what is wrong.

If you tell Veeam that you're competing with, for example, NetBackup or Backup Exec, or Dell or Micro Focus then they may lower the price. They are very competitive.

The price of Micro Focus will beat Veeam, but then you're missing one or two functionalities which is good to have for disaster recovery.

I would rate Veeam Backup a 10 out of 10.

We use it for backup and recovery.

It is a powerful software for communicating with the storage and for redundancy.

Its price is higher than other solutions and can be improved. They can also change the version of the software more often.

I have been using this solution for five years.

It has very good stability. It doesn't have any glitches, and it is very stable so far.

It is very scalable. You need more licensing to scale it. 

We have five users of this solution in our company.

I would rate them a ten out of ten.

The initial setup was easy. The deployment took two and a half hours.

It is more expensive than other solutions.

Feature-wise, it is a good solution. You can install the free version of this solution to try it out. This free version is valid for 13 days.

I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication an eight out of ten.

Veeam Backup does not interfere with your environment. It's got those facilities, which are very good.

Acronis has been a long time player on the images and in block-based backups. I can't think of any improvements yet for Veeam because they are very good. It integrates very well with Microsoft applications. It is very easy to integrate. Micro Focus can also integrate but it's more complex. You have to know the product very well to be able to integrate. While Veeam, it's very user-friendly. You don't need to have certifications or anything to work on Veeam.

I like the Acronis backup solutions on the block-based part of backups or snapshots. That's a nice functionality that Veeam doesn't have. 

I have been working with Veeam Backup Replication for four years. 

Scalability is very good. The only problem that might occur with Veeam is if people do not size it correctly, they can get performance issues. If you don't do the right thing, you always have those types of problems anyway. 

Backing up to the cloud, AWS or Azure is fantastic. It's really good. It also backs up applications as well like Oracle, SAP, and so forth. Veeam is a good backup solution.

The technical support is excellent. If you're on the right support level, they provide a solution immediately. They tell the customer exactly what is wrong. Compared to Micro Focus Data Protector, they've got good engineers to help you, but I think Veeam is much quicker and more helpful in resolving a problem. 

If I had to choose visualization between Micro Focus Data Protector and Veeam, I would choose Veeam. It's a much better product. The functionalities for the end-user are much easier. It is a good product for an enterprise, but it's not that user-friendly like Veeam is. The functionalities that Veeam offers are fantastic. It's a very good product.

In terms of virtualization, I would recommend Veeam over Data Protector. Definitely. Even for hybrid, I would still recommend Veeam. Although, the Data Protector hybrid environment is also not bad. But the problem is the complexity.

Micro Focus is developing the virtualization side. You can't compare it with Veeam. The storage and backing up the environment are much easier on Veeam than Data Protector. Veeam is much more ahead at the moment.

Data Protector is not user-friendly. It's more complex. You need to know the product very well to be able to do backups or restores.

The price is reasonable compared to NetBackup, Backup Exec, Dell, Micro Focus, or Acronis, then Veeam is lower in price. 

Micro Focus's pricing is not too bad either because they changed the licensing model.

I would rate Veeam Backup Replication a ten out of ten. 

In the next release, I would like for them to have block-based backups as well. But I don't know if they will do that because they've got all the functionalities to restore a system and it's working. If they would put it in, that would be fantastic, it will maybe even improve the performance when backing up. 

I would rate Acronis an eight out of ten. They're missing a lot and are still not very user-friendly. 

We are using it for taking backup from virtual machines, quick migration from one host to another, and instant file restore from the exchange or file server. The most important use is to do the daily backup and have business continuity at the highest level.

The integration with some storage systems like HP or Nutanix and great support are the most valuable features. You get productivity support. You get a response within one hour, even in the evening or night. The functionality of the whole software is good. 

The whole graphical user interface is very easy, but the details are hidden deeply and aren't easily visible. You cannot easily see the details and explore or choose the settings. We should be able to easily explore various settings and options. If you can see more details while choosing the settings or setting it up, it helps in getting the software running easily. For example, in Microsoft Office, you can see much more in the interface than in Veeam Backup & Replication. 

It is a complex software. It is not easy to use, and you must know what to do and where to do. The user manual has more than a thousand pages. They should give some direct information through the software and improve the software. On their website, they can have some videos and step-by-step information to make us come straight to our goals.

I have been using this solution for six years. 

It is stable, and that's the reason for using this software for about six years.

It is scalable. We have only two users, and they are administrators.

Their technical support is great. You get a response within one hour, even in the evening or night.

I have used Acronis.

The installation was straightforward. It was not so difficult. It was done in hours, but it depends on the depth of your installation, number of machines, and what you consider as the installation.

I did it myself because I am a consultant as well as an integrator.

Its software solution has a fee.

I would recommend this solution. I have a good experience with this. I plan to keep using this product, but I am making comparisons with another solution, which provides better and higher performance when you have some synchronizing job for business continuity.

I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten.

We primarily use it for backup and replication.

It's a very easy solution to use. It's easy for IT teams to manage, however, you don't need any special skills to really wrap your head around the product.

The product is very simple in its design. We don't need it to perform complicated tasks.

We work with the standard version, which is free.

It would be helpful if there was something that could assist you in managing the database more effectively.

It needs to offer an automatic check for backups.

I've been using the solution for three years.

The solution is very stable. We don't have any issues with its reliability. It's bug and glitch-free for the most part. It doesn't crash or freeze.

We've never really tested the scalability of the product. It's my understanding that you can extend service to ten or maybe to 20 machines. It's not complicated to do that. However, I can't speak to its full potential as it relates to scalability.  

We only have four people dealing with the product directly in our company.

Technical support is okay. We're satisfied with the level of service we're provided.

The initial implementation is not complex in any way. It's very straightforward.

While we work with the standard version of the solution, if you want to upgrade, the pricing is too high. They could work to make it more affordable for the Polish market. It's too high for most companies to afford. If it was more affordable, it could be more accessible.

We're just a customer. We don't have a business relationship with Veeam.

While I'd advise others to look at other companies to compare, I do recommend Veeam. It's my understanding that 60% of IT companies use Veeam. It's very popular.

Overall, I'd rate the solution six out of ten if I were to compare it to other versions of Veeam products. It's an okay solution. If it had an automatic check for backups, I'd rate it much higher.

We use Veeam ONE to monitor availability and for VM traffic and account system management.

The feature that we have found most valuable is its traffic plan. The traffic plan is very good.

Also the software manager is very good.

To make it a better solution they could improve the business feature and the camera. 

When we have a problem, we want to use the best feature. We would like to see a better solution for when your software has crashed for a minute or you can't open your software. We would like a better solution to recover your software. 

Overall, Veeam ONE could be improved if it had a better data recovery feature.

We have been using Veeam ONE for about three years.

The stability is good, we didn't see any bugs here. 

In terms of the scalability, it is good.

We have three people using the solution.

We have not had any contact with customer service yet.

I set everything up myself.

Veeam ONE is a good solution that anyone can use.

On a scale of one to ten I would rate Veeam ONE an eight. If it was easier to use and understand and more reliable it would be a 10.

We use and promote Veeam for protecting server farms. We also work with system integrators, providing them with this solution and helping them to size deals.

Provided much more, best to say, time, and less worry about backup. It automated backup to the point of almost no involvement needed and our backups can be checked, tested and verified at any time in accordance with our policies.

Veeam is much more flexible than other products, such as Commvault.

The interface is well-arranged and it is simple to use.

This solution is very easy for us and our partners to deploy.

The most valuable feature is the ability to verify that backups are valid.

We would like to see support for some additional storage systems. They do have a range available but more should be available.

The cost of this solution could be reduced.

I have been working with Veeam Backup and Replication for two years.

I am extremely satisfied with stability. You can make sure that every backup is 100% recoverable, which is a feature that I and my team are very grateful for. It is something that is not available in most solutions, as far as I have seen.

Veeam is easily scalable. I had a couple of cases where I had to scale from small to medium to enterprise-level organizations. There were thousands of nodes and it was easy to do. It took between a couple of hours and a day or two, depending on the size of the deployment.

The technical support is good, although there are very few complaints. Issues are normally resolved within 24 to 72 hours.

I have used similar solutions by vendors such as Commvault.

Veeam is much more flexible and easier to use. With Commvault, you need an additional technician to launch or deploy anything. It requires a lot of time just to set it up. Also, Commvault is more expensive.

The initial setup is simple and straightforward without the need for more complex preparations.

In-house and vendor team - expertise was on a level and did not require extensive amounts of time. 

We estimate our ROI within 1,9 - 2,3 years. 

Veeam is more reasonably priced than some competing products.

Each solution has its own points that are good but in cost-optimization, Veeam is a good price and it is very easy to deploy for both us and our partners.

My advice for anybody who is implementing this solution is to make sure that the sizing is correct. Having good or perfect sizing is the best thing that somebody can do for their company, and, if possible, to put more funds into analytics reporting so that they can provide intelligent sizing in advance. In fact, the biggest lesson that I have learned from using this solution is that you never want to have the wrong sizing.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with this product.
