What is our primary use case?
It's a CRM tool that we use mainly for three things. Firstly, it is used to capture leads on the site, for which we have forms created with their software. We also use this for campaigns because of one of the new stuff that they incorporated a year ago, which was amazing. So, we send emails, and so it's meant for our email stuff. The menus that we have in the CRM are what we use for our pipelines, our leads, our prospects, and all such stuff.
How has it helped my organization?
Pipedrive has improved a lot of things. We get our leads very easily because, in the beginning, we have different tools. We use Mailchimp for emails. Later, we use Pipedrive, and the easiest stuff is to have the form and the people that subscribe or to give us the data since it's already integrated into the CRM. So we don't have to migrate data or do things like that. Also, the information is very good and organized. We have our leads and our pipelines with different steps and stages. Moreover, all the data is quite consistent. We used to send this data to reporters and the media.
What is most valuable?
The most useful stuff for me is that it's very flexible with all the data structures. Also, you can define your own fields in the data. You know, and you can apply a lot of filters, automation, it could be improved, but it's not bad because, in general, it's not the best in a lot of things, but It's okay since most of them are very, very easy to use.
What needs improvement?
The form builder works even though it has some shortcomings. However, for me, the form builder could improve.
Some stuff in the tool lacks some essential functionalities in other software. So in automation, they don't have a few things. So, normally with almost every email automation tool, you can segment people. Also, if you open the email or you didn't open it, or you click, or you didn't click, are a few things they don't have in the solution. Also, the forms don't have the ability to avoid or stop people from signing up if they don't have a corporate email.
In short, the solution should have more automation options in the campaigns and also the ability to segment better in their forms, which can make it possible to not allow people to sign up if they don't have a corporate email, for example.
The ability to segment in the forms is a small feature. However, if you are going to sign up on my form, I should be able to avoid or prevent you from signing up if you don't provide any mail, specifically a corporate email. So, one can sign up on their phone with email, Hotmail, or whatever, and I would like to filter that. It's a small feature, but I'm generally happy with the rest of the tool.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Pipedrive for around a year and a half. I am a customer and user of the solution. I am using the version of the solution that is active now. It's like the normal version.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Only three people in my company are using the solution. The CEO, salesperson, and marketing person use the solution. But the thing is that I'm a provider for them. It's a startup, and I work for them as a consultant. I decided to use Pipedrive with them, so I helped them to configure Pipedrive.
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine or ten out of ten since you can just start putting more users into the solution. You may have to think more about the process, but in general, it's quite scalable.
The solution is used almost daily.
How are customer service and support?
The support for the solution is very good. I rate the technical support a nine or ten out of ten. Though lately, they have been slow, in general, if you ask any question, the support is faster in their responses.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
For emails, we were using Mailsync, but for CRM, we weren't using anything. In my case, I use another server like ActiveCampaign, but it's not the same. I prefer Pipedrive.
I switched to Pipedrive because the email stuff wasn't good enough with other solutions. Also, those solutions fell short when it came to CRM. Mailsync is good for email, but Pipedrive is our CRM, and it's different. It's easier to have the CRM and then add the email later.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was very easy. I rate it a nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is difficult and ten is easy. The solution is deployed on the cloud. I don't think they have an on-premises plan. The solution is already in the cloud, and we have to register to Pipedrive. So, it is a PipedDive Cloud that provides the cloud, and so you just sign up, and you can start using it. You don't have to worry about the cloud or anything.
For the basic stuff of the deployment part, it takes one or two afternoons.
Basically, we had to decide the steps for deployment because we didn't have all the information organized. We just trained up and started using it. It's quite easy. So, you register, you start configuring the steps, and then we try to break some stuff at the beginning, but it's okay since it is not complicated. Also, there is not a big deployment staff involved since it is very easy. We are a startup, and we are around 20 people, so it's not like hundreds of people are working on the solution. One person is required for deployment.
There is no need for maintenance.
What about the implementation team?
My team and I did the deployment.
What was our ROI?
It's difficult to say the ROI because we save a lot of time, but we didn't measure that. I think it's easier to sell and to follow leads, but I don't have a figure, so I think it's worth the money for this price.
On a scale of one to ten, where one is no return and ten is a hundred percent return on investment, I rate it a seven or eight.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We are using the solution's advanced plan in our company. Also, we are using Pipedrive's LeadBooster, and there are also PowerApps. For extra campaigns, we have LeadBooster.
It's a platform in which, in the end, you pay a lot because you just start putting in more and more options, and it becomes a little bit less expensive. But it's okay. In general, it's quite good.
On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price, two or three. For us, everything is expensive because this is a startup, but for a normal company, it should be peanuts.
Right now, we are paying 189 euros per month for three users, and as a complement, they upgrade the solution. There are no additional charges to the standard licensing fees.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We were checking to see different options, like Salesforce, which was horrible because it was over-complicated for our needs. We were also looking at a Spanish platform that others might not be aware of, and hence my company wasn't completely convinced. Then, we also evaluated Zoho CRM before choosing Pipedrive as the winner.
What other advice do I have?
The solution's interface is very clean, and in general, it is quite good.
I would urge others to try the solution since it is easy to try it. You may need one week to get used to it if you are not very technical, but it's very easy, and you can do it almost all by yourself.
I am very happy with the product. It is easy to use, flexible, and offers good support. It also helps you to better organize your job, and it integrates quite well. I didn't talk about integration, but it has a lot of integrations with different tools.
Overall, I rate the solution a nine or ten out of ten.
