We use the solution for backup.

Universal Restore is valuable to us. It allows us to restore two dissimilar hardware. It creates a DR scenario for smaller clients.

The support and documentation must be improved. It's hard to find information. The portal is a little bit finicky. We must search for exactly the right thing, or it is difficult to find solutions.

I have used the solution for two years.

I rate the tool’s stability an eight out of ten.

I rate the tool’s scalability a nine out of ten since it is cloud-based. The biggest difficulty is how different backups created by different user accounts cause segregation. It causes issues sometimes in restoration. The solution is suitable for SMEs. It gets quite difficult to manage over a certain size.

We have used Azure Site Recovery a little bit. Acronis is a better product, though.

The initial setup can be painful if someone has no experience using the tool. It is not 100% intuitive. However, we do it a lot. So, it is fairly simple for us. The product is cloud-based.

I rate the pricing a seven out of ten on a scale where one is high, and ten is low.

It is frustrating when we cannot find the right information when something goes down. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

We have it in a trial there. It includes all the features. We have tested them in our lab setups.

We're proposing it as an option for workspace backups and recovery.

I like the backup features. We can add a layer on top of that which includes security features. That is very unique. Mainly, the backup software includes only the backup. This includes not only backup but also security features. 

It is easy to set up.

The product is stable. 

Scaling is possible. 

The pricing is fine.

Support has been helpful.

It's very flexible based on the size of the offering. For example, ifwe have three customer requirements, we can customize the Acronis solution according to their requirement by adding the advanced packages.

The problem we face is competition. For the backup competition, we have Commvault, Veritas, Arcserve, and that kind of competition. The customers in Sri Lanka are mainly looking at Gartner records. Since Acronis is very new to the market, we can't compare it with those data center backup solutions, as they lead the way and get all the coverage. That's the main issue we are having. Apart from that, the feature set is very unique. We'd like it if Acronis Backup could focus a little bit on brand awareness in marketing.

If they can manage something like an STCM, or something that does mass deployment for software into the Cyber Protect console, it would be great. If we could have a mass deployment option using Acronis, that would be helpful.

Acronis has been added to the product portfolio recently. It's new to me. I have been working with it for six months or so.

It is a very stable solution. In some customer environments, we have some Windows security issues and errors and so forth and so on. However, that is based on the environment, not on the product. In general, the Acronis product is very good.

Scaling was something we wanted; it was a customer requirement. What was needed was for the end-user to recover what they wanted instantly without using the admin console and by only using their agent UI. We found it could scale well.

Their support is very good. I usually get in contact with one of the engineers, so when we have questions or troubles with the production and the customer environment, he helps us a lot. 

That said, when we do POCs, we can't open support tickets. We have to go to a PO to open support tickets. We have to call the contact engineer to get any help. It's limited, the ability to raise a ticket when you are in the POC. For example, in the first month when we were conducting the POC, w couldn't reach the support. We had to call and mail. 

Still, for the most part, support is helpful. Every time we called the engineers, they responded to us and helped us.

Positive

It is straightforward to set up and very user-friendly. The cloud solution is very simple as is the on-premise. There's not very much complexity. The only thing there is that may be tricky is we need to use a backup gateway. We need Acronis cyberinfrastructure when we want something like non-internet connectivity users to do a backup or something like that. Therefore, when we have a use case like that, we have to do cyberinfrastructure. Apart from that, the on-premise and cloud deployment are user-friendly. Anyone can easily configure and use it.

I'd rate the entire process a four out of five in terms of ease of deployment. It only takes about half an hour to set up. You install the management server and then install the agent on the machine. Then, with the use cases we are trying, it takes a bit of time. We tried to back up mailboxes, and we tried to back up workstations. It takes time to do this part. However, the actual setting up didn't take any time.

I don't handle the pricing aspect. Our product manager deals with that. That said, when talking with them, my understanding is the pricing is good. 

If I was to compare this product with Veritas, Druva, or Azure, the main difference I see is that those products only include the backup functionality. What Acronis provides is much more than that. It provides backup, management, and security, as well as vulnerability management and patch management, and a little bit of DLP. They include many packages. It adds an extra layer to the offering.

We are using the latest version of the solution. I have installed the agent from the cyber console and updated it to the latest version.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

Acronis Backup is a solution to backup data.

The most valuable features of Acronis Backup are instant restore, antivirus, and ransomware protection. Additionally, the documentation is good.

Acronis Backup can improve on the virtualization backups because they are not as good as Veeam Backup.

I have been using Acronis Backup for approximately three years.

Acronis Backup is highly reliable.

The scalability of Acronis Backup has been good. We suggest to our customers it can be done easily.

We recommend Acronis Backup to SMB and education customers.

Acronis Backup support could improve. The chat support that they have available is slow, they are not responsive. This is a problem when we have a critical issue the support is not readily available.

We previously used Veritas but we have found Acronis Backup easier to use.

Acronis Backup's initial setup is simple.

If we have any issues with the implementation our vendor partner will assist us.

The maintenance of the solution does not require a large team.

The current subscription model of Acronis Backup compared to other backup solutions is not costly.

I rate Acronis Backup a ten out of ten.

Our organization is the regional seller for Acronis. Our customers are looking to backup part of their infrastructure (virtual servers) and database.

Acronis has a very rich functionality.

I believe that the next release should be easier to configure as this one is difficult to configure even the easiest of tasks.

I have been working with this solution for a little over one year.

it has been very stable over the past year. We have not seen any issues and it is very easy to test backups.

Our customers are impressed with the scalability and richness of the different functions. We have only used twenty to thirty percent of what could be used.

The initial setup was straightforward and had clear, well defined infrastructure virtualization. For our most recent project, we were allotted three months for the setup and were able to complete it in one.

If you are looking for specific functions and/or automatic backup with testing, definitely look into Acronis. 

We use it for backing up local PCs and other things. We don't use it for Office 365. It is used for simple and basic use cases.

I am using its latest version.

We use it for some very basic stuff on the local machines. It is mostly used for drive-to-drive copy and file or folder restoration.

In my opinion, it's the best product for end-users and PCs. 

A little bit more integration would be good. It should support broader platforms.

I have been using this solution for 10 years.

Its stability is okay.

It is scalable, but we have very few people who use this solution. We use it for very basic things. 

I have not contacted their technical support.

It is used for something very specific. It is a very small percentage of the whole environment. For the enterprise part of the organization, we are using other solutions, such as Commvault and Veeam.

It is straightforward. It has a three-clicks installation. There is nothing special, and it is pretty okay from this perspective.

I can do it by myself.

We use the free version that provides very basic functionalities.

If you're a small organization with little or no knowledge of the backup solution environment, it'll be okay for you.

I would rate it a seven out of 10.

We have used Acronis Backup for VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V host, and physical servers.

We are currently using version 15. The solution is deployed on-premise. We haven't tried to integrate with other solutions.

Some of the most valuable features are recovery, protection against malware, and software management. I am happy with the dashboards and user interface.

The new version has anti-malware and software management features, but these features should be enhanced. It is working as an exclusive solution along with the backup and recovery.

Support could be improved. For complex cases, support should be available quickly and without any delay.

I have been using this solution for more than three years.

The solution is stable.

Technical support is responsive. In some cases, if it is complex, then it goes to level one of support, and that takes time. It could be faster.

The license is a perpetual license. The cost is an area for improvement.

I would rate this solution 8 out of 10.

I would recommend this solution. It is suitable for organizations of every size and for any sort of platform, like Nutanix, a hypervisor, VMware, or Hyper-V.

The most important use case is to backup notebooks and other environments of the completed image and to back up global environment imaging and you can leverage the backup when you are making a migration as well. 

The solution is stable. The performance has been fine so far.

We found the installation process to be pretty simple. You don't need a huge team to implement it. Just one person is fine. 

Technical support is great.

I don't find the product to be overly scalable. 

The product would be better if they offered more integration capabilities. 

I've used this solution for this year and the previous year as well. In total, we've likely used it for four or five years at this point. 

We've found the stability to be very good. The solution is reliable and offers nice performance. There aren't bugs. It's not glitchy. I don't find that it crashes or freeze. 

The product isn't very scalable. It's an aspect they could improve upon. Right now, it's limited. 

We have six to seven customers using the solution. There might even be a few more in some special environments. 

The support has been great. they don't need to be faster. They're very helpful and responsive, and we're satisfied overall. We find having them to be very important. 

The initial implementation was not complex or difficult. It was very easy, very straightforward. 

The deployment itself only takes about an hour or so. It's not a long and drawn-out process. 

You only need one person - an admin - for the deployment and maintenance tasks. 

We pay a yearly licensing fee. There are no additional costs to the standard license and fees.

I'd advise other users that, if you're making a backup with Acronis, you always ensure you do a double backup.

I'd recommend the solution to other users and companies. It offers an excellent level of service. We are satisfied with them. 

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten.

We use Acronis for data backup.

The interface is easy to use. They keep on adding new features. Acronis recently added multi-platform support.

Mobile backup is something that would be good to have. I can't think of anything else, but some performance enhancements and additional features would always be welcome.

We've been reselling Acronis for a few years now.

Acronis is relatively stable. I haven't seen any significant stability issues, and we don't have any serious concerns with performance aside from typical operational issues, which we see once in a while.

Acronis is easy to scale. 

Acronis customer support is excellent. The vendor is responsive.

We use Veeam and Veritas. They are similar products. Acronis has some limitations on the cloud side, but Veeam's cloud backup is quite efficient on cloud backup, especially when it comes to Microsoft 365, etc. Now I think Acronis also has those capabilities.

Setting up Acronis is quite simple. We mostly do it internally. Once our staff is fully trained, we should be able to do it all ourselves, but until then, we'll get help from the vendor. The total time for deployment depends on the size of the project. It can take anywhere from one day to a few days. Acronis requires almost no maintenance.  

The price could be more competitive.

I rate Acronis Backup seven out of 10. I would recommend it because Acronis is a highly effective product. It's easy to use and manage.
