We employ SAP Business One for our business operations, serving the purpose of an ERP system tailored for small and medium enterprises.
There are limitations of SAP Business One. It's a complex topic, and exploring options like SAP HANA is challenging at the moment. Understanding the limitations of ERP requires thorough research. I suggest conducting some preliminary investigations into ERP products before making a decision.
We chose SAP Business One as it caters to SMEs like ours, acknowledging and accepting its limitations. While a larger product exists, switching would entail budget considerations due to the ongoing implementations. Therefore, the current situation with SAP Business One is not a matter of concern.
I am using SAP Business One on AWS for 13 years.
I would rate it 9 out of 10.
Our technical support comes from the implementation partner, who also directly contacts SAP on our behalf. We do not communicate directly with SAP.
Currently, our partner's performance is satisfactory; they are competent and reliable. It took almost six months.
SAP Business One was implemented by an intermediary, specifically an implementation partner. Therefore, a third party was involved in the implementation process.
I would rate it overall 9 out of 10.
SAP Business One is a tool that helps me manage my business online.
The valuable feature of SAP Business One is that it provides more visibility when a person uses it on AWS over an on-premises version.
There are certain areas of concern in SAP Business One, and I feel that to address them, I need to prepare a document. In SAP Business One, there are many things that we need to code for certain custom things in the product, which is very prevalent when it comes to the product's QM module. There is a need to make multiple changes in the code to make a few changes in any module of the product. The aforementioned aspects of the solution can be considered for improvement.
I have been using SAP Business One on AWS for six months. I am an end-user of the product.
Around six people use the product in my company.
The initial setup of the product seems to be good.
The solution is deployed on the cloud services offered by AWS.
Though I cannot specifically state whether SAP Business One on AWS is a cheap or expensive product, I can surely say that it is a manageable tool from a cost perspective.
My company chose SAP Business One on AWS after I went through the many available options in the market, like Microsoft Dynamics. During my evaluations, I found SAP Business One on AWS to be a more valuable product than Microsoft Dynamics.
I rate the overall product around an eight to eight and a half out of ten.
The product makes it easier to overview the ERP system and manufacturing processes through different modules.
The product's UI could be better. The AI tools, programming languages, and dashboard customization should be easier.
I have been using SAP Business One on AWS for almost a year.
The product has good stability.
We have 100 SAP Business One on AWS users in our organization. The scalability depends on the number of user licenses. Adding new users is costly.
The initial setup is straightforward. However, it takes a lot of time to deploy.
We implemented the product in-house.
The product's license is expensive. It could be cheaper.
I have evaluated Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
I recommend SAP Business One on AWS to others and rate it a seven out of ten.
It is a stable accounting system used for basic accounting like accounts payable and accounts receivables. It is very flexible. But the flexibility depends on the setup. One has to rely on a good ERP tool for certain specifications and requirements.
Consistency is the most valuable feature as it is a very rule-based application, so if you stick to the information, it is very reliable and accurate. The accounting packages are user-friendly.
The reporting can be improved. Also, it is an expensive solution, and you need consultants for new interfaces as it's very rigid otherwise. One can train themselves to do the basics, but when you have a system, you are bound to go for a new interface. The openness for the APIs is very weak. Creating interfaces afterward also becomes very expensive.
I have been using SAP Business One on AWS for two years.
It is a stable solution.
It is a scalable solution depending on how the setup was done. We did not face any scalability issues with volumes. Around twenty users are using the solution.
The technical support team is good. Also, it depends on who is providing you with the support.
The initial setup is not very difficult, but one needs to have the data and know their requirements before setup, as once it is set up, then one has to continue with that. So the better you know the data and know your specific needs, the better. I was not there during the deployment, but They went live on the first of March but were only actively processing only from the first of May. So the first two months were just so generalized from the previous application.
There is an annual licensing fee, and it changes once you add or remove users. The solution is on the upper-end side and expensive.
One needs to understand their company and their requirements before choosing the solution. They should be clear as to why they are migrating from their current solution. The needs are accommodated from the gate code as subsequent adjustments. It is not always very difficult, but it is easy either at times. But depending on how your needs change, you might actually do a reinstallation.
I rate the overall solution a seven out of ten.
SAP Business One on AWS is a service solution or software, and we use the solution as a middleware component.
As a business technology platform, it is a flexible platform. It enables the customer to do faster integrations, and the solution's functioning requires low cost. It is a different software service product, which enables the customer to deal with the problems and to interact and change technologies fast, which is not complex.
It is hard for the customers to get the product from the market. Improvement-wise, it can shorten its time to reach the markets.
With SAP, we mostly use the integration suite since we are an integration company. We are using many different products on SAP. So, it depends on why a customer is using the solution. My company does not have or use any SAP products. SAP Business One is not bound to any hyperscalers, in particular. It runs on different hyperscalers, like AWS or Azure.
SAP Business One on AWS is a kind of middleware solution. I am a partner of SAP.
It is a stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
It is a scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
I did not face any issues, so I did not have any reason to contact technical support.
The solution's initial setup process was easy.
Pricing for me, it's not very interesting. I think it's priced at a normal level.
I would definitely recommend the solution to those planning to use it.
Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
We use the solution for daily data transactions and market data.
The automation on offer is very good.
The solution is stable.
The pricing isn't too bad.
I'd like to see the solution become more user-friendly.
It could use more integration capabilities.
The initial setup can be a bit difficult.
It scales only minimally.
I've used the solution for about ten years. I've used it for a while at this point.
The solution is stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze.
The solution only scales a little.
We have about 30 users on the solution currently.
At this point, we do not have plans to increase usage.
The initial setup is a bit complex. It is not extremely straightforward. It took us about a day or two to deploy the solution.
I'm not that technical and therefore don't have many details about the general setup.
We had some outside assistance to help us with the initial setup.
It is my understanding that we pay for a perpetual license. You just pay for it once and then handle maintenance. It is not too expensive.
We have been looking into other options as well.
I am using an older version. It may be version four or six.
I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.
We are using it for accounts and finance and also for maintaining third-party transactions and non-CRM transactions.
As we have customized the SAP Business One as per our business requirements, we have found that some of the features that we need are not available in the version of SAP Business One that we are currently using. So we have been advised to move to a higher version that can provide us with all the features that we need. So, I would say that there is definitely room for improvement in SAP Business One in terms of providing more features and functionalities that can cater to the specific needs of businesses like ours.
For additional functionality, my suggestion would be to improve the speed of report generation. The reading and retrieving of data are slow in the system, particularly when generating reports. It takes a huge time to fetch the reports. Another area for improvement is the setup and customization process for SAP Business One.
I have been using SAP Business One for four years.
The stability of the solution is great. I would give it an eight out of ten.
I would rate the scalability a seven out of ten because it is somewhat complex. Our company has seventeen limited and five pro licenses; I’m the only person maintaining the solution. The call team is available, but I’m handling all the IT-related technical parts.
I have not directly interacted with SAP, but our service partner (SAP partner) has been supporting us. However, I’m not happy with the current service partner. Recently, they sent a mail saying that henceforth, we are not going to support SAP Business One. I am looking for a new one as the current service partner has stopped supporting SAP Business One and is now focusing on other business intelligence products. I’m actively working on finding a new partner.
The initial setup is simple if no customization is required, but if customization is needed, it can be quite complicated and time-consuming. Our own customization and implementation project took almost two years for a six-month project. The project is 91% complete, but there are still some hiccups, particularly with the management reports, which represent about 5% of the remaining work. It took a lot of time to test and implement.
An in-house team deployed the solution.
SAP has a high cost of licensing. It is high compared to other licensing options.
Overall, I would rate the product a seven out of ten.
I had been using it for the end-to-end functionality. I had used it for finance, HR, and everything.
There is room for improvement in stability.
I had been working with SAP for ten years.
I would rate the stability an eight out of ten. There is room for improvement in stability.
I would rate the scalability an eight out of ten. There are more than 1000 people working with this solution in our company.
The initial setup is easy.
Overall, I would rate it an eight out of ten.
