We use the solution for backing up software from the computer to the server to VMware.

I am not in the best position to discuss the solution's most valuable features, as I am not the one who is really using it. This is more a question for the high level-three technicians who are doing so. 

I know that the solution does not have any issues and that they love it. It is easy to install and very stable. We are really not inconvenienced by it. 

The tech support could be better. I rate it as a six out of ten. Though this is not frequent, when we have had need to resort to it, we found it to not be good.

I rate Veeam Backup & Replication as a nine-point-five out of ten. 

We use Veeam Backup Replication for data backup and replication.

We will upgrade to version 11 soon.

The most valuable features of Veeam Backup Replication are efficient backup and replication. Additionally, Veeam Backup Replication supports all products and vendors.

The solution could improve by having more user-friendly dashboards.

I have been using Veeam Backup Replication for approximately six years.

Veeam Backup Replication is highly stable.

I had a customer that has been in operation for two years without any critical issues.

We do not have plans to increase usage at this time. We use the basic version at this time. 

The scalability of the solution is good.

We have five people in my organization that use this solution and support 10 customers.

I am in Turkey and the support is very important for the customer but it should be improved.

We have used Commvault previously but the customers cannot use Commvault for backups and replication, it is not included on the Commvault backup software. 

Veeam Backup Replication allows both features.

The initial setup of Veeam Backup Replication was straightforward. Step by step, we did not have any problems.

We have five people for maintenance of Veeam Backup Replication.

The price of Veeam Backup Replication has been increasing their price and my customers are asking why. They have CPU-based licenses and a Universal License, the prices should be reduced.

I would advise others that want to implement this solution to check the Veeam website for documentation and follow the information all step by step on how to install it. Everything is available in the documentation about implementation. If someone follows the documentation they will not have a problem with the implementation.
 
I rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten.

We are running the entire infrastructure on a Veeam host.

It serves its intended purpose and it works well. It's good enough for us.

It integrates very well.

I believe it is an excellent product for us. I'm not sure what could be improved.

We have had problems with some jobs. For example, when we have a VM with a large SQL Database, sometimes we cannot adjust the time for transaction logs to back up and overlap time.

I have been using Veeam Backup & Replication for two years.

Veeam Backup Replication is a stable product.

I have experience with Sematech, as well as HP.

I don't have an issue with the price of Veeam Backup Replication.

Veeam is a recommended product, but I have no evidence of other products. I have not researched other similar products.

I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication an eight out of ten.

I primarily use Veeam Backup for VMware backups—I have one physical agent—and replications to SAN. I use it to copy backups to the cloud, as well as for tape backups. I also use it for restoring Azure backups and replicas to ensure that backup is successful. 

This solution is deployed on-premises, and we are currently using the latest update. 

One of the most valuable features is the integration. Another good feature is the instant recovery. 

I think that Veeam could improve some performance issues when the backup itself is restored. I'm also using HPE StoreOnce, which has deduplication, and when I'm trying to test or run backups, it takes a lot of time. I think they could improve the testing for backup copies. 

I have been using Veeam Backup for more than five years. 

This solution is very stable and reliable. I didn't face any issues with Veeam Backup Replication itself—the whole issue was related to issues with the operating system. 

This solution is easy to scale. 

I have contacted Veeam technical support a few times and was satisfied with the support. I contacted them regarding issues related to the backup copy to cloud and they helped to fix the problem. 

The installation was straightforward and we handled it locally. 

We have one admin using this application and two IT members working as alternative administrators for any issues if the main admin is not available. So we have a team of three handling maintenance. 

We implemented this solution through an in-house team. 

The pricing is on the higher side, so I think they have to think about the price. It's a stable product and there was no requirement to keep in touch with the support team, so the renewal license was too expensive. 

I rate this solution a ten out of ten, and I would definitely recommend this solution to others.

Veeam Backup Replication could improve by having more comparably with other hardware with the immutable copy feature.

The single licensing model for the customers is a benefit, it includes many features such as ransomware and other protections.

The price of Veeam Backup Replication is reasonable.

We use the solution for its basic features, such as storage, backup and restoration. 

While I have not made use of the disaster recovery option myself, I know it to be pretty good. 

We encountered a ransomware virus issue, after which we made the environment so that the Veeam server is not in a domain, but a local one, and this helped us resolve the issue. As such, Veeam should state that it's best to have the Veeam server in a non-domain environment, for the preventing of any ransomware issues, with local authentication instead.  

When in a domain, the virus can easily attack the Veeam server, something which happened to us. Even our own antivirus solution - whose name I wish to withhold - failed to detect this. Ultimately, we had to go for the Microsoft scanner, which actually helped us to rid ourselves of the virus. 

While Veeam does provide the latest patches, it states that it is even fine to have a non-domain environment. It should have that frontline statement that the Veeam server should not be part of a domain for best anti-ransomware practices.

I did not have personal dealings with tech support. One of the IT managers did. 

The good thing about Veeam is that its initial setup and usage are straightforward. 

The solution is simple and easy and there is no need to be an IT architect to deploy it. This can even be handled by an engineer.

The maintenance of the solution for pulling updates is not a big deal. It's manual. It only involves the operation of Veeam agents to the latest version. 

I feel the solution's features to be comprehensive, although I did not make use of all of them.

We use Veeam Backup Replication for many purposes, such as emails incidents with our users, full email retrieval, or registration. Additionally, I have restored virtual machines, entire working servers, SQL servers. 

The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup Replication is application awareness. Additionally, the solution is user-friendly and it has been working very well.

I have found Veeam Backup Replication scalable.

We have approximately 300 users using the solution.

We previously used Symantec Backup Exec. As we moved forward from the physical environment to the virtual environment, we changed products to Veeam Backup Replication. We found that Veeam Backup Replication was the most usable, and fit our companies use case scenario best.

The implementation was straightforward. However, we used an integrator, the process could be easier for us to do it ourselves.

We had a system integrator that implemented the whole solution for us.

The solution does not need a lot of maintenance, the upgraders do not interfere with our systems very much.

We are satisfied with Veeam Backup Replication. It is a safeguard for our daily work and our environment. It has given us a substantial return on investment.

We are on an annual license for Veeam Backup Replication. We could expand or upgrade the license for the Office365 features. Next year we might go to a three-year plan for support on license.

In the next year, we will move to Office365 and could use the cloud features. We will upgrade our license and check the new features of Veeam Backup Replication.

I rate Veeam Backup Replication a nine out of ten.

I am using this product in a lab environment and it is primarily for doing replication.

This product is user-friendly. The interface is easy to use.

I have experienced problems with the backup repository.

The replication process is very slow. It takes too long to replicate a virtual machine.

This is a scalable solution.

I am using this solution in trial mode, as opposed to production. As such, I have not used technical support from Veeam.

I would rate this solution a six out of ten.
