I have used Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery as a ransomware recovery platform because it is a cloud-based solution that can create a backup for disaster recovery and mitigate the critical impact on businesses from ransomware attacks. In the event of a ransomware attack scenario, I could protect my data and recover it as soon as it becomes compromised and encrypted by the threat actor. With the easy disaster recovery and backup solution, I can easily fetch the data and recover it.

I generally focus on backup scenarios, such as when a server becomes compromised or there are issues accessing files due to glitches or performance behavior, so I can quickly recover the data given that I have the backup. Being a cloud-based solution, it is easy to scale as well, allowing me to rapidly recover the data from any kind of attack or threat. This is really helpful because the local and cloud detection protection platforms are being used.

Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery offers a lot of important features, with the first one being its robust backup and recovery platform that continuously protects the data, enabling real-time backup and quick recovery from critical data applications. An advanced feature includes deduplication, compression, and encryption for optimized storage utilization, ensuring data security while also reducing storage costs.

The advanced features in terms of compression and encryption are very optimized for storage utilization and data security. Encryption really helps in providing the confidentiality of sensitive data, such as intellectual property, MRN numbers, and social security numbers, because they can be encrypted with an encryption key. Even in the case of an attack or compromise, the data would not be accessible to the threat actor. This enhances data security, and I can also compress large data volumes to minimize storage space. This is a great feature of Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery.

Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery has definitely improved my overall performance and business efficiency on a large scale. There is a significant improvement in reduced downtime along with cost savings because it is a cloud-based solution that allows me to create backups and manage data according to my requirements on a pay-as-you-go basis. I can quickly create backups, and I have recovery features for those backups. In case of an attack or server downtime, I can easily access data with minimal impact on business operations and user accessibility.

I see several areas where Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery could be improved. First is the architectural design and configuration, along with operational maturity, as well as security integration.

The performance of support can definitely be improved with easier on-call support features for P1 and P2 incidents. Getting quick support from the vendor during major recoveries or disasters would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, improving the strength of ransomware protections, addressing critical gaps in deployments, enforcing backup immutability policies, and making disaster recovery testing routine instead of an ad hoc process are important. Validating that I can quickly recover data should be a priority, and improved runbooks or operational maturity platforms would be beneficial for data recovery from critical incidents.

Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery is highly scalable, allowing operations to be performed as needed, even for virtual machines in large ecosystems.

Infrascale's technical support is excellent. Whenever I raise a case with them, they quickly set up a call to address break-fix issues and assist with data recovery platforms and configuration-related tasks. For P1 incidents, they readily engage in tech bridges to find the root cause and assist with large data volumes, making their support commendable.

The average mean time to resolve open tickets with Infrascale's support team is very short. For P1 incidents, they resolve issues within four hours, while P2 incidents take about 12 hours, P3 incidents take 24 hours, and P4 incidents have a one-week timeframe.

I previously used a different backup solution, specifically Veeam Backup Solutions and Acronis Cyber Protect, before switching to Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery.

There is a great return on investment with Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery, as I have saved a significant amount of time and money. I need fewer employees to support maintenance requirements, alerts monitoring, and recovery requests, which allows health checks and monitoring to be performed easily. This cloud solution saves both time and money.

The pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery have been handled by the account manager and leadership. The discussions regarding the pricing and licensing costs have been smooth and clear based on my data storage requirements.

I did evaluate other options before choosing Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery.

Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery deserves positive consideration based on several reasons. This is a great solution that protects data as a cloud-based offering. One should definitely opt for it because of its reliability, speed, recovery capabilities, and a robust backup and recovery platform, coupled with centralized management for efficient operations.

I would give a nine out of ten rating to Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery because it is a great disaster recovery platform with various capabilities and operational maturity.

The primary reason for taking off one point is backup reliability. Backup reliability is very good in disaster recovery, allowing me to quickly create backups and ensure very high restoration speeds. The data loss protection features of Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery let me easily integrate recovery processes to retrieve data without losing critical information, maintaining high restoration speeds. Being a cloud-based disaster recovery solution greatly aids businesses in backup creation and recovery.

The restoration speed is very good, as I mentioned previously, which demonstrates how quickly I should be able to restore data. Restoration speed is definitely between 15 to 30 minutes for Active Directory, and for large databases or application services, it takes a maximum of 30 to 60 minutes. For file servers, it can take an hour. It has a very good restoration speed, and the user interface is user-friendly, enabling quick configuration, recovery, and management of server details as well as policies.

It is very important for me that Infrascale is available via a single dashboard because it allows me to access the entire database and cloud settings, including configuration policies and requests quickly. The unified dashboard of Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery saves my organization a lot of time because I can have a clear view of activities performed, alerts, CPU utilization, downtime, memory usage, processing speeds, and significant server backups. I can monitor many operations through the dashboard, which significantly enhances my business activity and performance.

I have used Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery in multiple places. I previously worked on a Kafka project where we had to ensure that our primary region was Ireland, but the application remained available in another region in case something went wrong. Currently, I use it for a GitLab platform that we have deployed for over 12,000 users across our company.

A specific example of how I used Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery in that project involved backup and disaster recovery for the Kafka platform. We had topics receiving messages from several customers sending in their data. We stored it for seven days in our platform, but we wanted to keep it secure in another region, and we used Stockholm as our secondary region. We built a replica of our platform using Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery in Stockholm. It was a passive setup, not an active one, so we were not actively using it, but we maintained it in case Ireland went down so we could quickly divert our users to Stockholm with their data present there, real-time data with no data loss and seamless movement to a backup.

Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery's best feature is that once you set up the backup automation, you do not have to do that manually every time. That ensures that my team of developers do not have to work on the backups once the automation and integration have been set up, and we have seamless backup capability. The quick response time on disaster recovery is also an added advantage because in other solutions, it takes a lot of time to restore, even if you have the backup, and then your RTO goes up. However, our RTO is well maintained at one day, which is fantastic.

Our automation and quick response time with Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery compare favorably to other solutions I have tried. Our setup built on AWS has seamless integration with AWS. I have tried some native solutions from AWS as well as some other tools I met people using at the AWS Summit in 2022 and 2023 in Stockholm, but they did not have all the APIs or features. Infrascale was the one that matched our needs best in terms of quick integration, accomplished with just a few clicks. In other places, you have to do manual setup or a man-in-the-middle API, which takes up a lot of time and creates a bottleneck, which was not the case here. That was the biggest difference.

In terms of features that stand out in Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery, the seamless integration is it. In addition to that, their IAM management is really good. We were able to manage who could have access to it, who could configure it and who could not, and what level of access people have once they are authenticated. All of these features added up well, and we were able to manage different levels within our team using that.

Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery has impacted my organization positively by increasing our customer base in Kafka from 4,000 to 10,000 users within three months. The customers showed interest, and they were onboarded in the next five months, which increased revenue for my application. It also created a lot of trust and brand value for our product.

While I think the integration of Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery is pretty seamless, the backup takes slightly more time to complete, which could also be because of the huge data in our databases. The networking flow can definitely improve, which could speed up the scale at which backups are performed.

Increased availability into more regions would be beneficial. Currently, Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery is limited to certain regions in the world, but there could be customers who would want to use it in Mumbai or other parts of the globe. That would increase their use case and help cater to more customers across the world.

I have been using Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery for almost four years.

In terms of accuracy and reliability of output of Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery's AI capabilities, I think security is a major concern in the AI department today, especially with new vulnerabilities popping up almost each week. I always have to keep an eye on that, but their team is super responsive. I can always have meetings with them on short notice, which contributes to the confidence I have in the capabilities of AI.

The advice I would give to others looking into using Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery is to have a meeting with them to understand their tool and what they are offering. It is really great, and I recommend referring to the public forums on Medium or LinkedIn where people have posted reviews about them. You can also check their website where they have customer experiences broadcasted. You can see how it has helped those users and what their use cases are and if they match yours or not. The first meeting with them would definitely help you in explaining your use case, and they are pretty fair about it. If they think they are not the best tool for you, they would not market themselves just to sell it to you, even if it is not useful. I give this product a rating of 8 out of 10.

The client is using it for backup and recovery. They have an appliance on-premises, and they replicate data from on-premises to the Infrascale cloud. This is how they use their data protection environment.

Having a single dashboard makes management and monitoring easier because you do not have to log into multiple services and multiple dashboards in order to gather the same information. It is always nice to have a consolidated view of your data and how you are performing your day-to-day operations with backup and recovery if you need to recover any file.

It is very easy to restore data. The user interface or the dashboard is very intuitive. It is very easy to use, making it easy to recover or replicate any files.

It is extremely important for us that Infrascale has the ability to recover data from any point in time. Data is the jewel crown of any business. If you do not have the right data, you are going to face many challenges in running your business. It is important to recover and restore the right data at the right time so that it does not impact your business and your bottom line.

The ease of use is valuable. It is user-friendly. Performing backup and recovery can be done very intuitively with the solution and the interface that is part of the solution. If you want to recover a file or back up a file, it is very easy to identify that file. It is very easy to replicate that file from the cloud or from on-prem back to the cloud.

A feature that is coming up is to allow backup to the Azure cloud with Microsoft. Any interoperability or additional capabilities that become available with hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud would be valuable. Many customers do not rely on just one cloud provider and want to work with multiple clouds. In terms of what I would like to see, it would be to make the solution available across multiple clouds.

I have used the solution for about four years.

There was a recent announcement in terms of moving Infrascale to the cloud, which makes it easier for the customer in terms of usability. There is information that is confidential inside the company that I am not aware of, but from my perspective, everything looks stable.

I have not contacted customer service directly, but I have feedback from people who contacted support, and they spoke highly of the skills and expertise of the support staff and the level of support provided to them. I have no direct experience, but this feedback comes from real customers and users.

Adhering to SLA and quick response times are very important for us. Getting to the right resource is very important. It helps to get the problem resolved during the first meeting or call, as opposed to some other places where you have the first-line support, and then you go to the second line, and then the third line. All of that is very time-consuming and frustrating for the customers because they want their problems fixed as quickly as possible. They do not want to jump through many hoops to get a resolution to their problem. So, the right expertise, a timely response, and being able to get to the right person to help you resolve the problem are very important.

The MTTR depends on the problem itself. There are some issues that can be answered on the phone right away. There are some issues that need to be explored in more depth. Those issues might not even be an Infrascale problem. It might be a third-party issue. For example, if you are backing up and recovering databases, there might be a patch needed for that database. It really depends on the nature of the problem, whether it is from the product itself or potentially from a third-party product that you are using in conjunction with Infrascale.

I would rate their customer support a nine out of ten.

In the past, we used different backup solutions. We have used IBM's Tivoli Storage Manager and Veeam backup, among others in the market. Each of these solutions has its own strengths and shortcomings. Some support a wide variety of different solutions in terms of vendors, and they can be run on different vendors, but they may lack certain features and capabilities.

We used other solutions a long ago. Their technology has progressed in a big way since then. Cloud has come into play. For example, here in California and other places where you are exposed to natural disasters, such as earthquakes and things of that nature, I recommend companies to have a modern next-generation backup and recovery. If there is an earthquake that hits Southern California and your data center goes down, the power goes down, or the building is destroyed, you should have a backup copy of the data in other states or locations to recover from. In that sense, Infrascale makes it easy to recover data quickly and in a timely manner.

The initial setup was not difficult at all. It is very easy to use and deploy. One great thing about Infrascale is that they provide a lot of handholding and help to deploy a new solution. If there are any issues, they quickly arrange a meeting to assist. Many larger companies would require you to create a statement of work and do other things to get more of a consultative type of professional services support. With Infrascale not being a big company, it is very easy to get to the resources we need. Those are great benefits and advantages of Infrascale.

The pricing is pretty good and competitive with the market. The per-terabyte pricing is very competitive compared to the others. Also, some companies that are very large are not easy to work with. With a smaller company like Infrascale, you can pick up the phone and call higher-level people, executives, or directors. It is easier to work with a smaller company if you have any issues. It is much faster to escalate and talk to the right people as opposed to some larger companies where you have to wait longer to find the right resource and get the answer or the resolution you are looking for.

Price and performance go together. There is always a trade-off. You must find a balance between the value a product brings and its price, as price is important but not the only factor for many companies. Price is very important, but in the case of the companies I am working with, technical support and technical expertise are also major considerations.

When it comes to Infrascale’s flexibility or capability to change based on organizational needs, a smaller company is more agile and more nimble to change. Some organizations prefer to work with companies of this size because they know that if they have any issues with the product, product release, patches, or fixes, they could get resolved much quicker than working with the larger companies where unless you spend multi-million dollars, they will not pay much attention to you. Those are positive things for Infrascale.

The speed of recovery depends on many factors, such as the network bandwidth and how busy the appliances or systems are to which you are trying to recover a file. All of those factors could impact the recovery time. If you have mission-critical applications, you need an environment that makes recovery of data very quick so you can get your business up and running quickly.

Overall, I would rate Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery a nine out of ten.

We use their online backup, their cloud-based backup, and their cloud-based Office 365 backup.

We use it for our clients, and we see its benefits daily.

It is wonderful in its ability to restore data. The speed of the solution’s restore functionality is incredible. I would rate it a ten out of ten in these aspects.

It has the ability to recover data from any point in time. 

There is a dashboard showing what we need and what we need to accomplish. I would rate the dashboard a ten out of ten for ease of use.

What I like the most about it is that backups and restores are simple, straightforward, and clean. It does not require six people to get involved in order to do a restore or perform a backup. 

It is a wonderful product. They are a wonderful company. Their people are fantastic. It is a pleasure dealing with them, which is a rarity in today's world.

When the product works, there is really nothing to fix, but they can allow different types of backups, such as differential or incremental backups.

I have used the solution for around 20 years.

It is highly stable. I would rate the stability a ten out of ten.

We have used their on-site products as well, and they have been incredibly stable and do the job. I do not currently run an on-site product, but they would integrate quickly and easily.

There are no scalability issues at all. One person can manage hundreds and hundreds of endpoints without any issues.

Customer service is quick and easy. They are incredibly knowledgeable and capable. I would rate them a ten out of ten.

Initial setups, follow-ups, and restores are valuable for our company. Their average mean time to resolve open tickets is an hour.

We have used different solutions. Cove is one of them. I would rate Cove as one out of ten, and Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery as ten out of ten. Cove requires a massive quantity of energy input in order to do a restore. It provides false information to its clients and vendors. In my opinion, it is just a horrendous product.

If one is incredibly difficult and ten is incredibly easy, the initial setup is a nine. Deploying an instance for Office 365 takes about five minutes.

One person can manage hundreds and hundreds of endpoints without any issue.

It does not require any maintenance from our side.

They are incredibly fair and willing to work with their partners to make their pricing work for both partners and the end users.

To someone considering Infrascale but is concerned about the price, I would say that they should get Infrascale's service no matter what it costs because any downtime or any loss of data is substantially worse than any cost for backup.

Get Infrascale and talk to their team. They will support you, and they will make you the happiest customer out there. 

I would rate Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery a ten out of ten.

Primarily, we use Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery to support our clients, small businesses. We provide online backup services, but we also provide full backup in terms of virtualizing their servers, or if they have virtual servers, full protection of a virtual server. This includes full protection and recovery of virtual servers and data files.

The fact that Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery has the ability to recover data from any point in time is brilliant. We've had clients who want mailbox recovery. Rather than having to recover an entire mailbox or recover a mailbox with data from three years ago, we've been able to search for individual emails and search for emails for a specific date and time. I had a demonstration with a client this week where I was showing them how we can help them with that, and they were impressed when I searched for their company, which organizes their emails by companies. They asked if we could go back to the earliest date they started dealing with this company, and when they saw that, they were amazed.

We love the speed of the restore functionality. It has also helped us drive some business, as we've managed to persuade clients to increase their upload and download bandwidth. The restore process is nearly instant, provided that sufficient bandwidth is available. Overall, this feature has been fantastic for us.

What we really appreciate about Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery is its easy and quick setup. The interface is very user-friendly. For us, as tech people who are always having to learn new interfaces, we found that their interface is straightforward. Their process is straightforward, and their sizing document, which helps to size the backup solution properly for each client, is really useful and helpful for us.

We love the Unified Dashboard provided by Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery. The Unified Dashboard also provides backup and recovery for Microsoft 365, O365, or Copilot 365. You can go from online backup or what they call their Cloud Failover, which is a local appliance that replicates to the cloud, to the Microsoft 365 backup. Managing all three of these in one portal and dashboard is really great. We're not having to switch dashboards as we do with other vendors who have different offerings.

The single issue I think Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery can do better is streamlining communication with their tech support. A couple of times, I've reached out to tech support on one issue, and someone else reached out to me on the same issue, seeming as if there was not much internal communication. But outside of that, their solution does what we want it to do, what we are asking it to do, and we don't have any issues.

We've been using Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery for just about 10 years.

In terms of stability with Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery, I have not seen any issues with performance, lagging, or crashing. 

While we were working on their online backup-only service, we encountered an issue a couple of times. They utilized a local caching system to create backup copies, which were then pushed to their cloud. This caused us some headaches initially because we weren't making accommodations for it. As a result, the backup would stop occasionally due to insufficient local space needed to create a cache or shadow copy before transferring the data to the cloud. Once we understood the issue, we took steps to resolve it on our end and collaborated with them to find a solution. That particular challenge was likely the one nagging problem we faced with the first few servers that we couldn't initially grasp. It wasn't until we went back to them and asked what was happening that they explained the situation, and their assistance helped us work through the issue.

We have not had any clients who truly tested their scalability. However, we've gone from one server to multiple servers and have seen no hiccups with Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery. We've gone from restoring data to spinning up a complete virtual machine and have not experienced any issues. To talk about scalability would be disingenuous because we've not had to test it and see it fail.

The main issue I have with their tech support is the time zone differences. It can be frustrating because there are times when it's morning or daytime for me, while it's an unusual hour for their tech support team. However, despite this challenge, we manage to connect and work together effectively during shared sessions.

I’m hesitant to give a perfect score because it might give them an inflated sense of self-worth, but overall, I would rate them a ten. I have no issues at all with working with Infrascale; they have been great to work with.

Before we started using Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery, we used AppAssure, and before that, we were using something else. They both promised but didn't deliver. This was one of the reasons we were just testing the waters with Infrascale by going with their cloud application backup instead of trying to use it the way we wanted, which was full server protection. We've used other solutions where licensing has been an issue, getting everything to run has been another issue, and we've found that Infrascale works for what it says it's going to do, across the platforms that they say it works for.

The initial deployment of Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery involved a learning curve. We also did a transition with them; when we started out, not only were we doing online backup, but we had a co-location setup where we were renting space from a telecom provider, and we put some servers in a rack because we had clients who were sensitive about their data going outside of the British Virgin Islands.

Initially, we wanted to place our backup in non-US locations, considering Canada and Europe, but they hadn't built their data centers in those jurisdictions yet. The deployment for that was easier than anticipated. There was some learning, and we had to purchase special digital certificates to put on their plans, but once we got it up and running, it was just download, configure, and complete. Their team was available to help us deploy. When they spun up their data centers in Canada and parts of Europe, we revisited the conversation and realized it would be more economical for us to shut down our local co-location and migrate. That involved migrating terabytes of data from our local appliance to Canada, and their team was exceptional in completing this. The primary issues we faced were bandwidth issues from our side.

The migration process took about six to eight weeks, though it may have actually lasted closer to ten weeks. This timeline was partly due to our need to educate our clients and gradually bring them on board. As each client agreed, we proceeded step by step to ensure everyone was comfortable with the changes. One major challenge we faced was bandwidth issues, which caused delays during the migration. We worked diligently to resolve these problems, but they certainly affected our timeline. Overall, while the migration could have been completed sooner, we prioritized ensuring that all clients were well-informed and supported throughout the process.

In terms of maintenance for Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery, it's largely taken care of by them. Every now and again, we have to touch a server to update a local agent, but that's by choice because updates can be automated. Some of the servers are sensitive, and we just want to touch those servers to update the agent. We receive email alerts saying when an agent needs to be updated.

For the migration from our side, two of us were on the team, but only one of us was ever needed at any point in time to look at what was happening and interact with Infrascale's support, so the heavy lifting was done by them.

I would always prefer better pricing, but I find that their pricing is appropriate. It's in keeping with what we are offering and how it allows us to resell with enough margin. We recently renewed one of our agreements with them, and even though we were going to renew anyway, they added more margin in terms of a discount for us for renewing early. We appreciate these gestures because we see that they're not taking their partners for granted, and we've been with them for a while, and they are still trying to give us more value.

We use multiple Infrascale solutions. We use their desktop and server backup and have started using their M365 line of solutions. We began with them just using their online backup, which is just flat files, not an application. We've progressed from flat files to backing up Exchange and SQL, to protecting full laptops for some of our users, to protecting full servers, and now, we're even protecting cloud applications. We have traversed the range of solutions with them.

We are an official Infrascale partner, and we appreciate that. We love the branding feature where the software shows up with our logo, and we use the naming convention they use. Instead of Infrascale, we use Ubiquity. This includes Ubiquity Disaster Recovery Service, Ubiquity Online Backup, and Ubiquity Cloud Application Backup service. We love the co-branding aspect of the partnership.

I would rate it a ten out of ten.

I have been using Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery since 2016, which is approximately six to seven years. During this time, we transitioned from other solutions to fully adopt Infrascale's platform.

I use Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery for backup and disaster recovery, and I have had instances where disaster recovery was necessary. We chose this product because of the support and the people we deal with. They are business-oriented professionals who understand the industry and the importance of having a reliable disaster recovery program. They remain consistently available.

We've had incidents with their early version where clients had issues requiring their machine as a resource, and everything went smoothly. Currently, with our new DR box, we had a practice running on it for six weeks after a failed attempt. The program excels at recovering files and folders, both locally and in the cloud. Their team is extremely responsive, which is crucial for service delivery.

The interface, while somewhat clunky early on, has improved significantly over the years, with the current version being the best iteration. The interpretation of terminology required some adjustment time, but with the help of their team, including Jason, the transition became comfortable. The success of the product largely stems from their dedicated staff who work diligently to get everything right.

Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery could improve in the area of documentation, which they are continuously working on. This is an ongoing process that should continue as documentation can always be enhanced. You can set up certain virtual machines on-prem if you need them. If a machine goes down or has an error, you can put the machines into the cloud, which is very important if there's a fire or a disaster, where you really have to get the business working again. It's very quick. I saw those benefits immediately; that was one of the reasons we moved certain customers over to the Infrascale solution. They had different solutions in place before and were not happy with the amount of time it took to restore data or perform disaster recovery. We tested it out and ran some server restores before signing the customer up for the solution.

It is very important for my organization that Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery is available via a single dashboard. I have multiple customers, so being able to see all of them in one single dashboard and drill deeper into the servers is very important for me.

You can perform an on-site disaster recovery within minutes and switch over to a virtual environment or a cloud environment. You can do tests, which I appreciate, to be prepared for a disaster. Overall, I appreciate the product very much.

I'm a little bit disappointed that over the last year and a half, there hasn't been too much contact from them regarding what's going to be new or coming out. I have another call scheduled with one of the managers there to get more information about this.

I haven't used their technical support for over a year, which speaks volumes about the product quality, but when I needed support, it was very quick and efficient. They did not escalate it to a second level. All the staff working there are very competent. I know some of them by name since I have worked with them many times, which makes it easier to get support. That support is outstanding; I wish a lot of other companies had their level of support.

There were a couple of hiccups during our initial signup regarding the price. For instance, if you back up servers with a certain schedule and retention, it can get expensive if you want to maintain that retention for a long time. Keep in mind, if you change from one provider to another, you have to keep the prior backup in place to retrieve older data. So, when you start with Infrascale, you basically start from scratch with your backups, meaning that you could lose access to anything older than the retention time set with Infrascale.

Before moving to Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery, I evaluated two or three other products, but Infrascale just came out as the top choice for us.

We checked Datto before deciding on Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery. Datto had a very difficult way of invoicing and billing. They didn't really have a fee that included everything from restoring to tests; they had all these little additional fees, which were too cumbersome to keep track of.

We cannot restore data from any point in time. Depending on the schedule we have set up, after a certain amount of time, backups are consolidated into a quarterly or yearly format. For instance, this doesn't let me restore something from December 31st, 2022, because that might be rolled up into a quarterly backup.

The Office 365 backup they had was a white-labeled product from another company, which I did not appreciate. Now, I'm using different products for Office 365 backup because Infrascale's endpoint backup is just not on par with other solutions available on the market.

I can give you a quick, specific example of a time when I used Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery for one of those rare events. Usually, what we do is handle a lot of servers. Without proper backup, all the servers eventually will lead to a disruption in the business. That is the main reason why we follow this protocol. If the server crashes, then I log into that particular portal and take the previous night's backup after we had an issue. I restore those files, save them, and ensure that we store all the information and save every single file. After that, I set up a cron job. We do use some Amazon Web Services, so from that RDS, I need to set a scheduled job for that. At a particular time, the data will be backed up at one specific time in these scenarios.

These are all the things that will happen in order to provide proper disaster recovery. If the physical server fails, I can recover due to it. Moreover, restoring particular files is also a good feature. Apart from that, I can recover or take a backup of the whole folder without even restoring the entire server. I can take minimal data, save it, and store it. After that, this data will be encrypted, and I can also recover the backup if it is attacked due to malware issues or something. I can set a recovery cleanup backup option as well. I have some centralized systems where I can track how much backup has been done, how much storage has been used, and how many restores there are. These all things are good features of Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery.

Out of all these features, I rely on the cloud backup the most because when a hacker comes into the system, it is the main reason I need to be more cautious. I can take the backups of the customer and then encrypt it. If I perform encryption, even if the hacker comes and tries to access the data, they would not be able to recover it due to the encryption values and keys. That is the main feature that I prefer the most and would suggest.
