If you have any virtualization solution, you don't have to have a VM solution for Linux. We don't need to go through an agent for a physical server. I've only done one integration one time for Office.

It is very easy to integrate. You can do it very fast.

With the latest version, you can back up directly to the cloud without having to do it on-prem, which saves money. 

The integration is very easy. It's fast and straightforward. The product is pretty straightforward to deploy.

It is stable.

Microsoft already gives backup features, and therefore they don't need to go for another backup solution. 

I don't have any notes for improvements. 

It is only for Office, not for other platforms. 

It's a new product. It's not mature. It might need more cloud capacity.

I've used the solution for one year. 

The solution is stable. I'd rate it eight out of ten. There are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze. It is reliable.

This is a simple backup for Office 365. It doesn't need to be scalable. 

We haven't dealt with technical support.

The solution is very easy to set up. Once you start, you just click through and enter information about storage, user name, and password. 

We are integrators and can help clients set it up. Anyone with good Microsoft knowledge can handle the setup.

The pricing is acceptable. It's not overly expensive. I'd rate the pricing nine out of ten.

I'd recommend the solution to others.

Users should not rely on Microsoft. They need to have another local solution to handle backups outside of Microsoft.

We offer clients backup and replication services. According to our clients, Veeam is the very best. 

Veeam is new for us. However, with the help of the Veeam portal, they've relayed things like presentations or documents, which are very good for us in order to understand what Veeam offers, how to engage with clients, et cetera.

It is simple, sleek, and scalable for us. And Veeam has excellent pricing modules, which are useful.

The backup and replication capabilities are excellent. It's great for backing up Office. 

It is very simple to set up. 

If you're hands-on, it's very scalable. Its UI is very easy to understand in terms of what the job is doing, and we can schedule jobs easily.

If clients are backing up onto tape, Veeam's newest versions don't really deal with that.

There were some reliability issues in older versions. This is largely resolved. 

I've used the solution for one to two years. 

In previous versions, there were a few reliability issues. In Version 9, for example, it crashed due to a heavy load. However, by Version 11, the issue was resolved. It hasn't crashed since. 

The solution is quite scalable. It's up to us, how we develop and deploy it. How we deploy the proxy and extend the infrastructure is very straightforward. In just one click you can add servers. 

We have about 20 or 21 users at this time. 

We have salespeople and technical people we can call or email. If we have a question, usually in the first tier it can be resolved.

The initial setup is very simple. It's not complex at all. 

It takes approximately one to two hours to deploy everything. 

The pricing is quite low. It is affordable. 

They are beginning to develop licensing based on a subscription model. The pricing is reasonable compared to perpetual licensing. 

Veeam has recently launched Version 12, which looks interesting. I need time to comment on it. 

I'd recommend the solution to others. The pricing is good, and support is helpful. I'd rate the solution ten out of ten. 

The solution is used to keep files for posterity, in case of disaster recovery, in case of restoring something that goes missing.

The solution is primarily deployed on the cloud but in some cases we deploy on-prem.

The most valuable features of the solution are the scalability and the free license of up to ten VMs.

As with all things, the solution can be improved by reducing the cost.

I have been using the solution for seven years.

The stability of the solution is an industry-standard and I give the stability a ten out of ten.

The solution is extremely scalable.

We have a few thousand people using the solution.

We are partners with Veeam Backup for Office 365, so we don't have any issues with their technical support.

The initial setup is straightforward because we use specialists.

We already have a shared platform, so bringing in new customers is very easy for us. We simply apply a license and bring the customers in.

The price of the solution is good. Veeam Backup for Office 365 is a low-priced solution, so it is scalable and is priced for the market, comparable to other solutions.

I give the solution a ten out of ten.

I work for an MSP and we have over 200 working technicians. We require ten people for the deployment and maintenance of the solution.

I recommend the solution. I also use the solution personally at home for free.

We use the solution primarily to protect data. 

We were not aware of the fact that Microsoft was not engaged, could not be, or we were not aware of the fact that it was not possible to engage the responsibility of Microsoft in case we lose or face corrupt data. We thought Microsoft was in charge of all the security and the workload protection. Since we have learned we are not fully protected, and after hearing of some bad experiences from friends, we started using this solution to protect our data and to be sure that no matter what happens, we can get our data from Office 365, and especially, Teams.

In the past, when someone was leaving the company, it was really difficult to keep his data without decommissioning the license allotted to this employee. Today, we can reuse the license. We are assured that the data is already safe.

With Veeam Backup for Office 365, it is possible to save an employee's mailbox and decommission the license to reuse it for another person without losing the data.

The most valuable feature is flexibility. It offers good retention of policy features. We have a lot of flexibility in terms of scheduling or setting our data retention policy. We can retain our data at our convenience, which is really useful.

It is very easy to set up the solution. 

The solution is very scalable.

The solution is stable.

It has a good help center.

The integration and the coverage of all the features related to the protection of Teams could be improved. With this solution, not all the elements of Teams are protected. You have all the data, however, since Teams interacts with many other pieces of software on the Office package, it's sometimes a bit complicated to recover all the functions simultaneously. For sure, you have the data, yet not all the functions. When you recover Teams, you have to, let's say, set some other settings manually. It would be really interesting to have all the processes automated since it's so time-consuming to do it manually.

I've used the solution for just under two years. I've used it for about 19 months so far. 

The solution is stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches. 

It is a scalable solution. 

The process of adding more users to extend your license is really easy. They're really reactive.

We have about 1,000 people on the solution right now.

Technical support is really helpful and responsive. The only downside is sometimes it takes a bit of time when we need keys changed.

I have not previously used a different solution. 

The product is very straightforward and simple to set up. You do not even need to be an expert to set it up. While the design is another story, the installation is really easy.

How long it takes to deploy depends on your existing architecture. It depends on how you want to integrate the product. If you are in a company with, let's say, 100 users, it could take you one hour to put it in place, without the time consumed by the design, as the most important part of the deployment is the design. It is the phase that takes a lot of time. That said, setting it up is very easy as soon as everything has been designed.

We did not need the help of any third party. 

The local teams did it. However, we have leveraged the knowledge base part of Veeam, called the help center. They have a lot of information there, which was really useful for us.

We have seen an ROI. We have been saved from incidents by this solution many times. We've avoided corruption of data, and we are not losing time thinking about how data could be protected. It's agile and we are protected well. 

We pay for licensing every year. The license is purchased for a specific number of users. You can have a license for one year or many years - up to five years, for example. 

We are a partner and customer.

We are not using the latest version of the solution. We haven't yet done the latest update. 

I'd recommend the solution to other users and organizations. 

This solution brought us a lot of flexibility on how we can manage and care about our data, as far as Office 365 is concerned.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

Most of the time, the solution is primarily used for a VM backup from VMware.

The ease of use is great. 

The integrations with the storage vendors are useful. We have snapshot capabilities and stuff like that.

The setup was straightforward. 

It is a stable solution.

The scalability is great.

Currently, I'm working for Huawei and they dropped the support for Huawei, so that's an issue for us. The full storage is not supported anymore. We probably will need to evaluate another backup vendor now.

We would like a full Linux-based solution. They still use the management platform on Windows. It should maybe also have an appliance deployment or something like that, that is pre-configured.

I've been using the solution for about ten years now. 

It is quite stable and reliable. There are no issues. It doesn't have bugs or glitches. 

There should be separation of your backup network with your protection so that you have additional protection from ransomware. Potential new users should integrate it and look out for ransomware capabilities.

The solution scales well.

Mostly, I am the person on the solution. There may be an administrator as well. 

I worked a little bit with Commvault, and with Data Protector, however, that was almost ten years ago.

The integration with VMware was much better at the beginning than with the other products. Then there was a price, ease of use, and stuff like that that we also considered when switching.

The initial setup was very straightforward and simple. After 10 years, you know what the pitfalls are, so it's quite easy to manage implementations. So it's still an upgrade of an upgrade. The deployment takes a couple of days. 

You only need one person for deployment and maintenance. 

I work for integrators. I handle the initial setups of the solution myself. 

I didn't do the price calculation, however, the ROI has been good. I just do the initial budget and then I do not verify.

Users can pay a licensing fee on a monthly or yearly basis. It is becoming more and more expensive. I'd rate it a three out of five in terms of affordability.

There may be extra costs as well. You have to foresee the hardware to run it on and then store the backup. There may be costs around integrations.

I don't use it anymore for protection. It's just for testing and demonstration, and not for protection.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. 

The use case is to back up Office 365 data. The users want their data in Office 365 to be backed up because even Microsoft has some data protection limitations. There are cases where the data could be lost, and Microsoft will not take responsibility. It is the responsibility of the users to set up a proper backup. For example, if you have a malicious user deleting certain data, you can restore it yourself. That's a use case for Veeam Backup for Office 365.

It helps to ensure that you can always have your data restored. For example, if someone hacked your account and deleted all your data, you always have a way to restore it. 

It is easy to set up. You can use some functions to make sure you get the maximum bandwidth to do the backup. It has an option to bypass Microsoft network limitations and things like that.

Functionality-wise, it is better than most of its competitors. 

It requires quite an amount of infrastructure. You have to set up the instance, and you need to know quite a bit about Microsoft 365 authentication. For some customers, it is a challenge. 

It is also not cheap.

I have been working with this solution for a few months.

It is pretty good.

It is pretty flexible and scalable. You can set up servers and multiple proxies depending on your usage. It can handle a big volume of data.

In our company, we have less than 50 people. It is used by IT admins. Typically, you would need one or two people to do some routine tasks. For example, if a user deleted an email and wants to restore it, the user will call the IT admin to restore the email. 

I just set up two instances. It was not that hard. We have two or three people for deployment and maintenance.

Its cost is pretty high. I would rate it a three out of five in terms of pricing.

If you are a small company and you do not have too many resources, I would advise trying some backup service and not setting up your own backup infrastructure. You can use a SaaS service. There are some companies that provide Veeam backup as a service. They set it up for you and charge you a usage-based fee, which could be a cheaper option.

I would rate it an eight out of ten.

We are using Veeam Backup for Office 365 to backup all of our mailboxes. If something happened, we only have to restore the mailbox and look for an email.

The most valuable features of Veeam Backup for Office 365 are the ease of use and instant back and restore.

When using Veeam Backup for Office 365 when there is a server that's running, I have to have a hard drive installed on it. For example, if I want to use another storage solution, I can't incorporate it very well. If I want to use SMB or other protocols I cannot use them with the Veeam Backup for Office 365. They have the support in the other Veeam Backup and Restore solutions, but it doesn't support it in this solution. Hopefully, in the future, they figured it out.

If I want to offset that data off somewhere else, it is difficult, I don't have a lot of storage options.

I have been using Veeam Backup for Office 365 for approximately three years.

The stability of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is good, they have a good tool.

I found that Veeam Backup for Office 365 is not scalable.

The technical support from Veeam Backup for Office 365 is good, when I reached out to them they resolved my issues.

The cost of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is $19 for one mailbox.

My advice to others is they need to try out other solutions before they make their purchase because Veeam Backup for Office 365 is simple and easy to use, but sometimes, I don't like the solution.

I rate Veeam Backup for Office 365 a ten of ten.

Veeam Backup is primarily used by companies already using Veeam to expand their backup to protect their data or who have moved to Office 365 and want to be able to backup to Office 365 in the cloud.

Using Veaam Backup means that there is a backup for Office 365 that can be restored from, rather than just piggybacking off what Office 365 provides, which is more of an archiving capability.

The most valuable feature is the capability to back up not only to the cloud but also to your local environment so a copy of your data can be kept on-prem.

Veaam Backup can be confusing for customers when they start trying to understand how to use the product in multiple environments. So if they're using it in both a cloud and an on-prem environment, it can get a little bit confusing as to how that actually happens and how it works.

I've been using Veeam Backup for Office 365 for about three years.

The latest version of Veaam Backup is very stable.

Veaam Backup goes up to 5,000 email users before you need to do another implementation. A lot of their customers are within that size, so it works for them, but once you get into really large corporate customers, it gets more complicated.

Veaam's technical support is very good; they're very responsive to customers and come out with upgrades as needed.

The initial setup is simple, with deployment taking a relatively short period of time, about a couple of hours.

When customers move their Office environment out to Azure, they save all of the resources they would use for Exchange, as well as the storage. 

Veaam Backup is licensed per mailbox, which customers like because it's per user and so they don't have to pay for shared mailboxes. Veaam also provides flexible one-to-five-year subscription licensing and no longer use perpetual licenses. There are additional costs for keeping data in the cloud, e.g. for Azure licensing.

Veaam Backup has recently added MS Teams to the programs they cover, which was a big improvement. If you're an existing Veaam customer who has on-prem backup, I would advise integrating your on-prem backup with the Office 365 backup to get a more cost-effective, easy-to-use solution. I'd give Veaam backup a rating of eight out of ten because it's easy to use and solves a customer problem with its restore point functionality.

We use Veeam Backup for Office 365 to back up our data, such as mailboxes, OneDrive, or SharePoint. We are able to back up our data on-premises.

Veeam Backup for Office 365 has helped our organization by allowing us to keep our data safe. If we accidentally delete our date we can recover it. We had an incident where a user deleted accounts and emails and we were able to recover the data. 

The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is the WAN accelerator. This feature allows for large amounts of data from one location to another. If the bandwidth in the environment is slow it makes the transfer slow but the WAN accelerator feature helps speed the transfer.

The solution provides support from one location to another, such as with Hyper-V and VMware.

The solution could improve by having the ability to back up without an agent installed on the system.

I have been Veeam Backup for Office 365 for approximately six months.

The solution is stable.

Veeam Backup for Office 365 is scalable.

I have used the support from Veeam Backup for Office 365.

I previously used Acronis Backup. When comparing Acronis Backup and Veeam Backup for Office 365,  Acronis Backup has an agentless deployment while Veeam Backup for Office 365 does not. Veeam Backup for Office 365 has the advantage of deployment and maintenance.

Acronis Backup provides a fully operational free trial to use the solution.

The initial setup of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is simple.

The process taken to do the implementation starts with the download of the agent from Veeam's website and a Veeam account that needs to be set up. Once the agent is downloaded you run it on the server with the global credentials the administrative privileges you will be able to access every service provided. For sample, SharePoint backup capabilities. The last stage is to import the data for backup and a plan. The full installations take approximately 10 minutes.

One person can do the backup of the solution.

The solution can be maintained by one person and it is not difficult.

I rate Veeam Backup for Office 365 a seven out of ten.

Veeam Backup for Office 365 has good security, and I also like the process they use for backups.

The initial setup of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is straightforward.

Pricing is an area for improvement, and I would rate it at five out of ten.

Overall, I would rate Veeam Backup for Office 365 at nine on a scale from one to ten.
