Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 Reviews

When we work with physical infrastructure, we use a Veeam agent to protect that workload, but we use Veeam for Office 365 to protect workloads in 365. 

The most valuable feature is the built-in integration with Office 365, which helps us protect email accounts and servers. We use it on virtual servers on the cloud with Azure, or we can use an agent on physical servers.

A while back, I had some trouble using the agent. It might be a problem with older versions. Sometimes, I also have issues installing or making backups from the console to that type of operating system.

I started using Veeam for 365 around a year ago.

I rate Veeam eight out of 10 for stability.

I rate Veeam Backup for 365 nine out of 10 for scalability.

I rate Veeam support seven out of 10. 

Setting up Veeam is easy and intuitive. One or two people can deploy it depending on the number of devices or the workload. 

I rate Veeam eight out of 10 for affordability. 

I rate Veeam Backup for Office 365 eight out of 10 overall. Veeam works and is so straightforward. I can recommend it.

Veeam provides cloud backups. These days, most people want to back things up on the cloud. All the work saved on various office workstations and file servers is backed up on the cloud.

Clients get peace of mind knowing their data is backed up somewhere else outside their office. If something goes wrong, they can retrieve their data and keep going. Their business operations aren't affected.

Veeam is affordable and end-to-end configuration is straightforward, whether you're going from source to destination or vice versa. Retrieval is also easy.

In some instances, a customer is not necessarily backing up Microsoft 365. For instance, they might be backing up a large Oracle database. It would be nice if they could tweak it to compress the file, so it's easier to transfer a huge file. 

We have used Veeam for two years.

I rate Veeam eight out of 10 for stability.

Veeam is scalable. If you have 20 users and you want to scale to 50 or 100, you only need to request it.

I rate Veeam eight out of 10 for ease of setup. Setting up Veeam is straightforward because it's a cloud-based solution. When I did AWS Cloud backup for my personal laptop three or four years ago, someone walked me through it over the phone. phone, some two, three years ago, four years ago. It is simple for someone with IT skills.

The time needed to deploy depends on the organization's size and the amount of data being backed up. It typically takes between two weeks and a month for a medium-sized or large project.

Veeam is more affordable than Veritas and Commvault. They might be the most affordable solution in this market, and it's also the best-known product for backup.

I rate Veeam Backup for Office 365 eight out of 10. I recommend using Veeam if you care about your data. It's a good product if you want to do on-prem or cloud backup.

We use it for different workloads like the VBR, Veeam Backup and Recovery. We use it to back up our virtual servers, physical servers, and our SQL database backups. We also use Veeam to back up the user mailboxes from 365.

There were only a couple of restores that were required from backdated data backup. It was good to get it to restore there fast. For the virtual machines or SQL databases, we do get the recovery done quite often, and it offers a faster recovery time.

All the features are good.

There's a feature to back copy the backup from the local repository to, say, AWS or Azure cloud storage. That's quite helpful.

It was easy to set up.

The solution can scale. 

It is stable.

There is a free version available. 

If Veeam could offer backup as a service for data backup and recovery, that would be great. We'd like something like what Druva is offering at the moment.

Veeam currently does not have immutable storage, so if they can introduce immutable storage for ransomware protection, that would be great.

We have found the free version to be less stable. 

I've been using the solution for a year and a half. 

While the licensed version has been relatively stable, we have had issues with the free version of the solution. We only had a few problems. It wasn't a lot. I'd rate the overall stability eight out of ten.

It is a scalable solution. 

It's basically for administrators. It's only useful for administrators and if there's a request for data recovery they only perform it for the user. The end user is not going to directly use this product. We have three admins on the solution currently. 

I'm using both Druva and Veam, and I'm looking at Rubrik.

Both Veeam and Druva are good products. That said, in terms of functionality, Veeam has more options.  They have multiple solutions to choose from. 

The solution offered an easy initial setup. I'd rate the ease of implementation ten out of ten. Overall, it shouldn't take more than an hour to deploy it. 

I did a session with a Windows server with the latest operating system. After installing the VBR software on that and then installing the credentials which we're going to use for the backup and adding the backup repository, then external cloud repositories, I could make the backup policies and handle testing.

So far, we haven't really needed to handle maintenance. It's running well. 

I handled the initial setup in-house. 

The pricing is reasonable. I would rate it eight out of ten. We have just a standard license. 

I'm an administrator and an end-user. 

It's a very versatile product. It is easy to install and use and it is pretty stable. I'd rate it nine out of ten. 

Our primary use case for this solution is to back up and restore from the cloud to on-premises.

The feature that helps keep data in the email and OneDrive is valuable.

When working with this solution, doing backups on-premises to the traditional storage is done with no compression and duplication. So if you use a device to back up with compression and duplication, the solution doesn't work. Hence, this is an improvement that can be made. Additionally, the console management system can be improved.

We have been using the solution for 14 years and are currently using the Enterprise Plus version.

The solution is stable.

The solution is scalable.

The customer service and support team are good. I rate them a nine out of ten.

I cannot comment on the initial setup complexity because a different department handled it. One engineer is required for implementation.

I rate the solution a nine out of ten. The solution is good, but the console management can be improved, and the new feature could include compression and duplication features. I advise new users to ensure they have a lot of space before using the solution because it's not optimized with compression and duplication features.

We are using Veeam for our customers. It's used for backups and disaster recovery.

It works well. It's very good for backups.

The solution is stable and reliable. 

It's easy to deploy.

At this moment, I don't have any downsides to note. 

Veeam is quite expensive. Often, clients are looking for a less expensive option. 

We've been dealing with the solution for three or four years. 

The solution is stable. It's reliable, and the performance is good. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. I'd rate it five out of five in terms of stability. 

I don't have too much information in regard to scaling. 

We've dealt with support in the past. They are helpful and responsive.

I did not participate in the initial setup of the product. We have a separate team that handles deployment. That said, my understanding is that it is a simple setup.

Five to six people tend to handle the deployment process. We might have as many as ten people in our organization that can handle the requisite tasks.

We haven't calculated ROI for our clients.

They have newer Pulse licensing that is better. However, our clients do look at the pricing and feel it is too high. The licenses are paid every three years. 

I have compared Veeam to other products, and I found it to be more stable and reliable. 

We are service providers and a Veeam partner. 

We're using the latest version of the solution.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is its performance. Additionally, the user interface and documentation are easy to use and navigate.

Veeam Backup for Office 365 can improve by adding more features with Microsoft teams. We have many files that we are working on with Microsoft teams and there should be more integration and features.

I have been using Veeam Backup for Office 365 for approximately two months.

Veeam Backup for Office 365 is a stable solution, everything is running smooth.

The scalability of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is good. We arranged the appreciate scaling with the Veeam subscription.

We have approximately 20 people using this solution in my company.

We have not had the need to contact the support from Veeam Backup for Office 365.

Veeam Backup for Office 365 is simple to set up.

Veeam Backup for Office 365 is a subscription-based solution.

I would recommend this solution to others.

I rate Veeam Backup for Office 365 an eight out of ten.

We install Veeam Backup for Office 365 in every system. We use the system application for taking the backups.

The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is the backups, we do not want to lose any files. Each one of the files is updated on a regular long-term basis and kept together in the Microsoft cloud-only.

Veeam Backup for Office 365 can improve by reducing the time it takes for backups. I have mentioned this to Veeam and hopefully, in the next version, it will be a faster backup.

In a future release of Veeam Backup for Office 365, they could improve the dashboard to show simple task information.

I have been using Veeam Backup for Office 365 for three months.

Veeam Backup for Office 365 is a scalable solution.

We have 14 people using this solution in my organization.

When we purchased the solution nobody gave us a demo solution for us to test. We had to contact the support for them to help us.

The price of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is inexpensive. We have a license to use the solution.

My advice to others is they have to make sure the backups they are doing are done correctly. If anything is missing you need to check them.

I rate Veeam Backup for Office 365 a five out of ten.

We primarily use the solution for backup. We leverage it for security reasons so that we feel safe about the security of our data. Microsoft doesn't guarantee anything. If they lose your data, then they lose your data, and that's it. This gives us a sense that we won't lose anything if something happens. 

The solution provides good backup services for Microsoft 365.

The product has been stable so far. 

I'm confident that the solution can scale as needed. 

The installation could always be a little bit easier. You do need to be a bit technical.

I've been using the solution for two years at this point. 

The solution is very stable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable. 

While I haven't had the need to scale, I'm confident that if I needed to scale the solution to thousands of users, it wouldn't be a problem.

At the moment, I only have two customers on the solution.

It's my understanding that the initial setup wasn't too difficult. That said, I wasn't directly involved in the process. It's likely pretty straightforward. 

You only need one person to handle the deployment and maintenance tasks. It doesn't require a big team. They need to be a bit technical, however, it's not too complex. 

A colleague of mine set it up.

You do need a license in place to use the solution. In our case, we pay a yearly licensing fee. 

I'd recommend the solution to other users and organizations. 

I would rate the product at an eight out of ten. I've been pleased with its capabilities so far.
