Pros and Cons
- "The solution is perfect and works pretty well. It gets your streaming and helps to get your calls. I like it a lot."
- "I have faced issues with connection. Maybe, it's an issue from my side. The company accounts in Teams has some issues as well. I could not establish calls with certain domains, and then the product asked me to buy a professional account. The problem with Teams is that they are split between professional or company accounts and personal accounts. It's not very clear how you can go from one to another. That's the main issue with teams."

Flexible with useful screen sharing and great reliability
Pros and Cons
- "The transcription feature is great."
- "I'd like Microsoft to start adding more AI functionality into Teams."
What is our primary use case?
We use the solution for recording meetings and preparing education for our YouTube channel.
What is most valuable?
It's a very flexible program.
We can do screen sharing very easily.
It's good for recording sessions.
Sometimes, I can't see if a person came into the meeting; however, when I go and look at the session at the end, I can see who has come and gone from the meeting.
The transcription feature is great. I can copy it and create a document out of it.
It's quite stable and issue-free.
The solution can scale.
What needs improvement?
The room feature could be better. I like the visibility we get when we use Zoom, for example. I'd like the rooms to be set up more like that. I'd like more room management features.
I'd like Microsoft to start adding more AI functionality into Teams.
For how long have I used the solution?
I use Teams all of the time for work. I've used it for about two years at this point.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I've never had any issues with stability. There are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash.

We all use Teams in my company. We have about 80 people using it.
How are customer service and support?
I've never had any issues with the product. I've never had to reach out to technical support.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used Zoom in the past for virtual meetings. I only use it occasionally. I have noted some stability issues with it that I haven't noted in Teams. I don't have a license for Zoom. I haven't seen the backend administration features.
How was the initial setup?
I did not handle the setup process. It was automatically deployed to my laptop.
We do not have to do any maintenance tasks. However, we do have an administrator. He may have maintenance tasks.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We have an Office 365 license which includes Teams in the product. I'm not sure of the exact cost of the solution.
What other advice do I have?
I'm an end-user.
I'm not sure which version we're using.
We save our meetings in the cloud when we use the solution.
I would recommend the solution to others. I know that Microsoft has begun to add AI to its products. However, this hasn't happened in Teams just yet. Once they start adding AI, it will become even better - and it's already very good.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable features of Microsoft Teams are the ease of use, and it is very good for a small virtual office for meetings and calendars which sync well together."

What is most valuable?
The most valuable features of Microsoft Teams are the ease of use. It is very good for a small virtual office for meetings and calendars which sync well together.

When someone joins a meeting we are not able to kick them out.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Microsoft Teams for approximately three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Microsoft Teams is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Microsoft Teams is straightforward.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Easy to implement, great for group chats, and available on multiple devices
Pros and Cons
- "Communication is really easy to handle."
- "You can access it from any device, and it’s great if you want to access data or information."
- "They need to improve the scalability of Teams."
What is our primary use case?
I primarily use live chat. The chat is used mostly to communicate with all departments in my company.
What is most valuable?
There is a good option for you to make group chats. Communication is really easy to handle. It’s easy to make groups and intimate chats when you need to.
It is a stable product.
The initial setup is easy.
What needs improvement?
It's a really good application, a good program. However, maybe the whole UI could change a bit in the future. After a while, it gets to be too much of the same in the eye of the customer. Maybe they need a column, or maybe a background, or something like that to mix things up.
They need to improve the scalability of Teams.
For how long have I used the solution?
I’ve been using the solution for six months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability is not a problem. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn’t crash or freeze. It’s reliable, and the performance is good.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution can scale. However, it could be better.
We have about 200 people using the solution right now at our organization.
How are customer service and support?
I’ve never had to reach out to support as I’ve never had any issues. It works well. I can’t say how the technical support is, however.
How was the initial setup?
The initial implementation was actually not made by me. However, I saw the process and it's pretty straightforward. There was nothing that I saw that would lead me to believe it would be complex.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I’m not sure about the pricing. I’m not sure if we have to pay anything.
What other advice do I have?
I am a customer and an end-user.
I’m not sure which version of the solution I’m using right now.
I’d invite potential new users to use it or try it out. You can have access it from any device, and it’s great if you want to access data or information.
I would rate the solution nine out of ten. It’s great. However, the UI could be better, which is why I didn’t give it perfect marks.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises

User-friendly platform with useful calling options
Pros and Cons
- "Teams' most valuable feature is the ability to choose from multiple numbers to show when calling."
- "Teams is really user-friendly and not that complex."
- "Teams doesn't always sync to show as Do Not Disturb during Outlook meetings."
What is our primary use case?
I use Teams for meetings, chats, and outgoing calls.
What is most valuable?
Teams' most valuable feature is the ability to choose from multiple numbers to show when calling.
What needs improvement?
Teams doesn't always sync to show as Do Not Disturb during Outlook meetings. In the next release, it would be useful to see other users' availability.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using Teams for a year and a half.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Teams is stable, though there are very occasional problems with flashing when screen sharing.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We previously used Skype, but Teams is more user-friendly and syncs with Outlook.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was challenging because Teams was a new platform for us, but it was that hard, and the training provided helped us understand better. Deployment took three months.
What other advice do I have?
Teams is really user-friendly and not that complex. I would give it a rating of nine out of ten.

Video conferencing platform that offers reliability and scalability
Pros and Cons
- "This is a reliable and stable solution."
- "It could be improved if it was easier to use and the interface was revamped."
- "I don't like it very much, but I have to use it because it's the standard in the organization for communication."
What is our primary use case?
We use this solution for video conferencing.
What needs improvement?
I don't like it very much, but I have to use it because it's the standard in the organization for communication. It could be improved if it was easier to use and the interface was revamped.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using this solution for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
This is a reliable and stable solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
This is a scalable solution. It integrates with a lot of Microsoft software.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was complex. I have the impression that Microsoft software is complex to implement because of the many configurations and parameters that they use.
What about the implementation team?
We used an integrator to complete the installation.
What other advice do I have?
I would say that it's important to train all the people that are going to use it, because it's not very easy to use.
I would this rate this solution an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

C&D Strategy Consultant at Deloitte Risk Advisory
Enables users to work on the same file with others through file sharing and collaboration; useful for meetings, training, and task management
Pros and Cons
- "The feature I like most in Microsoft Teams is the ability to work on the same file with other people, for example, on Microsoft PowerPoint, or Microsoft Excel, without needing to share the file via email."
- "Microsoft Teams is a very stable app."
- "What I'd like to improve in Microsoft Teams are the calendar management and task management tools, because they're not easy to use. They're not user-friendly."
What is our primary use case?
I'm using Microsoft Teams for meetings, training, work, file sharing, and its other features. Working and consulting for Microsoft Teams are my principal roles. The app is my best friend.
What is most valuable?
The feature I like most in Microsoft Teams is the ability to work on the same file with other people, for example, on Microsoft PowerPoint, or Microsoft Excel, without needing to share the file via email. I also like that I can be updated and I can understand the status of work or the status of a task.
What needs improvement?
What I'd like to improve in Microsoft Teams are the calendar management and task management tools, because they're not easy to use. They're not user-friendly. For calendar management, I prefer to use Outlook, for example, I send a calendar or update a meeting through Outlook rather than Microsoft Teams.
An additional feature I'd like to see in the next release of Microsoft Teams is the ability to monitor my working activity, particularly to understand how many hours I spend every day on each task or work I do, for example: on PowerPoint or Excel. I would like a personal dashboard that I can consult to understand where I spent my time during my work journey.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using Microsoft Teams since 2019, so it's three years of usage.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Microsoft Teams is a very stable app. I didn't notice any issue or problem with it, even in the past year, so it's stable for me. I use it every day.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Microsoft Teams is a scalable app.
How are customer service and support?
I don't use Microsoft Teams support because when I have a problem with the app, I just contact the IT department. We have internal support for the app in the company.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I used Skype for Business before switching to Microsoft Teams. I switched because there are several differences between the two apps. The main difference is that Skype for Business doesn't allow file sharing between users, and doesn't allow users to work on the same file, versus Microsoft Teams which is optimized for file sharing and work collaboration. Another difference is that Microsoft Teams is more user-friendly than Skype for Business. For example, if I search for a contact on my contact list, it's simpler to do compared to searching for a contact on Skype for Business. Microsoft Teams also saves conversations on the chat panel, while Skype for Business archives the conversation on my email, creating spam in my mailbox. These are all the reasons I prefer Microsoft Teams over Skype for Business.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I evaluated Skype for Business, Google Meet, and Zoom.
What other advice do I have?
For virtual meetings, I use Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business. I also use Google Meet and Zoom. I used Skype for Business for one year in 2019, but after 2019, I started using Microsoft Teams, and I'm still using it.
My rating for Microsoft Teams is eight out of ten.
Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.
A stable solution with a good video conferencing feature
Pros and Cons
- "This is a stable solution, I have not faced any problems using the video conferencing."
- "For future releases, I would like to see Microsoft Teams to make a lighter application and drop some features."
- "I have had concerns with login and resource consumption using Microsoft Teams, I would consider Zoom or Cisco WebEx as better solutions."
What is our primary use case?
I am a freelancer. The decision on what solution to use is determined by my customers. Some of my customers have over 5,000 employees who are using Teams.
Teams is a virtual meeting solution. We use Teams to work with our clients purely with video conferences.
What is most valuable?
This is a stable solution, I have not faced any problems using the video conferencing.
What needs improvement?
As an app installed, Microsoft Teams is resource-consuming. When using it from their browser-based application, I experienced login problems.
For future releases, I would like to see Microsoft Teams make a lighter application and drop some features.
Microsoft Teams has all the features it needs, however, I noticed on some laptops that the features are not available. For example, if you want to change your virtual background, not all laptops have the hardware configured to link with that feature. The solution should make all features available irrespective of hardware configuration.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Microsoft Teams for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
This is a stable solution, I have not faced any problems using the video conferencing.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Microsoft is always scalable, it depends on the level of licensing an organization has purchased.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Microsoft Teams is easy. I would rate setup a 5 out of 5 as the solution is straightforward.
What other advice do I have?
I have had concerns with login and resource consumption using Microsoft Teams, I would consider Zoom or Cisco WebEx as better solutions.
Organizations should consider what features they want to utilize. If they want all features to be available, they need to have an enterprise category system. Logging in from a home segment device will not have all features available.
I would rate the solution an 8 out of 10.
Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

Beneficial calendar invites, high performance, and plenty of features
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable feature of Microsoft Teams is the ability to create Google calendar invites. When I click on that option to create an invite, it will go straight to Google in my web browser, and it creates a meeting folder. I'm able to share it with the customers. I've not seen that option in Zoom. Additionally, the solution has high performance, and the video and quality of the calls are good. It has all the features that I need."
- "Additionally, the solution has high performance, and the video and quality of the calls are good."
- "One of my colleagues was trying to use Microsoft Teams on their laptop, and it was slow in terms of booting up when initially starting it. For example, it was not running in the background. In general, it takes some time to load. Zoom tends to have a faster loading time."
What is our primary use case?
We use Microsoft Teams for meetings and other operations, such as raising hands, sharing screens, and sending chat messages.
How has it helped my organization?
Ms Teams has improved our efficiency. Travelling to and from physical meetings takes time due to traffic situations. Besides it improves physical safety because we spend less time on the road.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of Microsoft Teams is the ability to create Google calendar invites. When I click on that option to create an invite, it will go straight to Google in my web browser, and will creates the meeting placeholder. I'm then able to share it with other people by entering their email addresses in the provisioned location. I've not seen that option in Zoom. Additionally, the solution has high performance, and the video and quality of the calls are good. It has all the features that I need.
What needs improvement?
If the Ms Teams process is closed, the next time a user attempts to open Teams, it takes a while to load. I'm not 100% certain whether system resources have anything to do with this, but in my experience, when the Ms Teams process is already running, Ms Teams loads quicker. On the other hand, Zoom (and even Google Meet) tend to have a faster loading time.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Microsoft Teams for approximately three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Microsoft Teams is a stable solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I have found Microsoft Teams to be scalable for what I have used it for. I have not tested the solution for more than 10 users at one time.
We have approximately four people using this solution in my organization. We use the solutions approximately every two weeks.
How are customer service and support?
I have never needed to contact the Microsoft Teams Technical Support channel. I have not had any problems with the application.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have previously used other solutions, such as Zoom.
Zoom is a more lightweight solution and is easier to use than Microsoft Teams.
How was the initial setup?
The setup of Microsoft Teams is easy for a technical person like me. But a regular user may have a slight challenge with the process of activating an account on Ms Teams.
The multifactor authentication of Ms Teams can prove to be a challenge for a non-technical person.
I rate the setup of Microsoft Teams a three out of five.
What about the implementation team?
We install Teams in-house.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We are using the free version of the solutions. Zoom gives a time-limit of 40 minutes for more than two attendees and automatically ends the meeting. You'd need to connect back to be able to resume/continue the meeting. The free version of Ms Teams does not seem to have a time limit. At the time I was doing this review, I was on a Teams meeting that had gone beyond 3 hrs 30 mins and it was still going on.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Microsoft Teams an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises

What is our primary use case?
We use Microsoft Teams for training and meetings.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of Microsoft Teams is that it is easy to use.
What needs improvement?
Microsoft Teams could improve the integration with Outlook because most of us are not using the last version of Outlook and it causes some issues.
In the next release of Microsoft Teams, they should make the mobile application easier to manage. Additionally, they should add more features.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Microsoft Teams for approximately two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Microsoft Teams is a stable solution. However, we have to turn it off and reconnect sometimes.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Microsoft Teams is a scalable solution. We have more than 600 users using this solution, from all levels in my organization. We have no problem with all our users using this solution.
How are customer service and support?
I have not contacted the support from Microsoft. We have our own internal support.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We previously used other solutions, such as Bridge and an internal application. Microsoft Teams is the easiest to use.
How was the initial setup?
The implementation of Microsoft Teams is easy on the laptop but sometimes we are facing some difficulties with the phone.
I rate the initial setup of Microsoft Teams a three out of five.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Microsoft Teams is priced less than other solutions, such as Bridge.
I rate the price of Microsoft Teams a four out of five.
