- "I find the extensive list of features in Office 365 tremendously valuable, including Teams, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Application, and Power Apps."
- "I have issues with call licensing problems, and there is a lack of good information about PBX and IT integration with Teams."
What is our primary use case?
Primarily, I use Office 365 and Teams for various tasks. My firm works as a consulting and IT solution provider for small and micro businesses. We use Office 365 for a range of applications like Teams, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Application, and Power Apps.
What is most valuable?
I find the extensive list of features in Office 365 tremendously valuable, including Teams, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Application, and Power Apps. In particular, I am an end user, and I consult my partner firms to use Office 365 and Teams. I have found that Teams and Outlook are my primary applications. Furthermore, I like Copilot Pro, which I have licensed for use with Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word; it often provides excellent information and guidelines.
What needs improvement?
I have issues with call licensing problems, and there is a lack of good information about PBX and IT integration with Teams. Questions regarding licensing, such as the appropriate license needed for integration with PBX or for supporting call centers and IVRs, are common, along with inquiries about pricing for domestic and international phone calls. Additionally, I would appreciate more documentation on specific integrations.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Office 365 for a few years, maybe five or more.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The initial setup is not entirely easy. A setup may require changing configurations in Exchange and Teams, but overall it is manageable. Although not every deployment is straightforward, I do not spend excessive time resolving problems. The setup is flexible.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I rate the stability of Office 365 as eight out of ten, indicating room for improvement. Specifically, Microsoft Teams can have issues sometimes. Today, for instance, I was unable to log in to my Teams account for over an hour on my mobile. This might be due to my mobile operator or a Microsoft issue.
How are customer service and support?
In a case a few months ago, I assisted a non-profit organization, and I can say that communication has greatly improved with Microsoft. Everything was finished within five to seven days, and the support was cooperative, providing good guidelines. Microsoft is consistently improving in this type of communication.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have only used Microsoft solutions, primarily because my technical team consists of Microsoft-certified professionals. We have no experience with Linux, Google, or other platforms.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup can vary depending on the client's requirements. Some setups are quick and fast, taking little time, while others require more effort from my team, especially when clients are uncertain about their needs.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
In Serbia, IT is considered expensive because our monthly budget comparison to the rest of Europe is low. With an average salary of 500 euros, Office 365 appears expensive. Many clients request discounts.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I did not evaluate other options because my technical team is composed of Microsoft-certified professionals.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, I would rate Office 365 as seven out of ten, taking into account the areas for improvement.

- "Office 365 is costly for individuals and small businesses."
What is our primary use case?
We have been using Office 365 more as a collaboration and communication tool. My team and I utilize Office 365 and its sub-products for elements of task management such as planning, the planner feature, the risk board, time card, time off, calendars, and other related features.
What is most valuable?
We have been using Office 365 for tagging critical communications and building communities of practice and centers of excellence. The main feature we use is tagging, which provides notifications and reminders. By creating labels, we can identify tasks with customized labels for project phases, which aids in visualization and reporting. Integrating Outlook with Planner and Teams channels has been beneficial as well.
What needs improvement?
It would be helpful if Office 365 integrated Copilot or more AI capabilities to provide proactive notifications. For task management, AI could offer insights and early indications of overdue tasks by analyzing activity updates. These features could improve intelligence and assistance for users.

We have been using Office 365 for close to three years.

We have no complaints about the stability of Office 365.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Office 365 is scalable in terms of numbers because it can easily handle multiple projects onboarding, warranting a ten out of ten rating. However, in terms of adapting to changing project scopes, it is somewhat restrictive, which would rate around six out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The support provided by Microsoft for Office 365 is generally good. Although there had been some delays, no major complaints arose from these experiences.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

- "Office 365 tools work very well on Windows, but there is still some lag when using Mac computers."
What is our primary use case?
I mainly use Office 365 for documentation, such as creating Word documents, Excel sheets, or PowerPoint presentations. These are the primary applications I utilize.
How has it helped my organization?
If I am on my phone or laptop, the document is available on both devices. This mobility is advantageous since earlier we had to send documents, but now if I save it in OneDrive, they are readily available.
What is most valuable?
Office 365 allows me to share documents easily with team members, which is more efficient compared to the older frameworks. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are still very comprehensive and flexible. These tools remain powerful, and no other platform has reached this level yet.
What needs improvement?
Office 365 tools work very well on Windows, but there is still some lag when using Mac computers. Sometimes, attachments cannot be opened on a Mac. The seamless integration seen on Windows is not there on Mac, so there is scope for improvement in optimizing support on Mac computers.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Office 365 for the last five or six years.

As a user, the deployment was very straightforward for me. It was a quick 10-minute process.

Overall, the stability of Office 365 is high. I would rate it a nine out of ten, although the lack of support on Mac can still interfere occasionally.

In our office, Office 365 is available in the App Store. It was a plug-and-play setup, and installation was managed by Microsoft's centralized system.
What was our ROI?
The mobility feature of Office 365 has provided value, as documents are accessible on multiple devices like phones and laptops. Saving documents in OneDrive makes them easily available.

- "The app is pretty slow on Android devices, even on Apple devices, so it is not very fast."
What is our primary use case?
We use Office 365 for business generally. We deal with e-fax, and I was looking at the reviews because I am looking for something similar to Business Central. In my opinion, Business Central is the best that I've seen so far. However, it's not available in the Caribbean, and Business Central is not formatted for this region just yet, so we can't use it here.
What is most valuable?

What needs improvement?
They can improve on the ease of use for each product. There is always a learning curve, and for apps like Excel, users have to go into training for optimal use. All of the apps should be more user-friendly.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Office 365 for probably about seven or eight years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The app is pretty slow on Android devices, even on Apple devices, so it is not very fast. It moves slowly, and when contacting support, they attribute it to a system problem, but everyone in the area has the same issue. Thus, it seems to be a Microsoft problem.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is definitely scalable. I would probably give it a ten for scalability.
How are customer service and support?
I would probably rate their customer service a seven out of ten. They do get back to you quite quickly.
How would you rate customer service and support?

How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is not straightforward at all. It is complex. I would place it about a four on a scale, with one being the most difficult.
What was our ROI?
In terms of efficiency, Office 365 has definitely improved operations. However, we now have to devote time to learning the product to get the best out of it, which sort of eats into our time.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing for Office 365 is not bad, it's okay. While Business Central is quite expensive, the standard fees are pretty reasonable. I would probably give it an eight out of ten.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend Office 365 to others as a productivity tool, though I have reservations due to the lack of user-friendliness. Overall, I would rate Office 365 about a seven out of ten.

There are features that could be enhanced or added to Office 365.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have had experience with Office 365 for a few years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Office 365 demonstrates excellent stability overall.
How are customer service and support?
Their support deserves a rating of 10 out of 10 for customer service. I have utilized their online forums to resolve various issues.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have not had experience with other platforms such as Google or different collaboration tools such as Adobe. I am interested in learning the main differences between Microsoft and Google for these applications.
What other advice do I have?
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most easy, Office 365 could potentially be made easier to use.
I am familiar with the security framework of Office 365, particularly regarding Teams meetings. Special logins are required even when accessing personal accounts, which influences our data protection strategy and benefits the company.
AI is utilized in Word through the editor feature, though I am not aware of other AI features integrated with Teams.
I would recommend Office 365 to other businesses and educational institutions as it serves these purposes effectively.
My advice for potential users is that the solution is very beneficial.
Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Office 365 as very good.

Integration of additional icons has improved work efficiency, but support accessibility remains challenging
Pros and Cons
- "Office 365 is a pretty stable solution; it is in the cloud, so I can use all the documents that I have anywhere I want."
- "Office 365 is a pretty stable solution; it is in the cloud, so I can use all the documents that I have anywhere I want."
- "To be very honest, we use Cute FTP to transfer most files, and if they had FTP portals which they could guarantee were secure, that would be a great help."
What is our primary use case?
I am just a user. It is on the cloud, so it is much better. I can use it wherever I want.
What is most valuable?
Office 365 is a pretty stable solution. It is in the cloud, so I can use all the documents that I have anywhere I want. There is one very good feature that I have. When I use SharePoint along with it, it makes life a lot easier for us, especially when I have to share documents or files with other clients.
What needs improvement?
There is really not much difference between Office 365 and standalone MS Office. However, regarding PowerPoint, while the icons are there, I wish it was as good as Apple's presentation software because it is easier to create PowerPoint presentations with Apple's equivalent software. They could have done better work if they had provided that functionality.
To be very honest, we use Cute FTP to transfer most files, and if they had FTP portals which they could guarantee were secure, that would be a great help. Then I would not have to start Cute FTP and perform all those operations. I do not know whether Office 365 has that functionality because I have not seen it, but it would have been quite beneficial if it was there.
For how long have I used the solution?
It is easy to deploy. It is not rocket science, but deploying information over the cloud is something that I am very skeptical about. I usually use Cute FTP or FTP-type solutions, as it is more secure compared to sending or sharing information. I do use cloud sharing, but only for documents that are not secretive or sensitive. I mainly use FTP to load or unload sensitive data. Other than that, insensitive data is just a matter of using a shared drive.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Regarding productivity gains, we have no issues with Microsoft. It is a very good service that they provide. The only problem I have seen is that Windows 11 gives many problems, especially when it updates your software. Everything slows down, every application slows down. I have reverted back to Windows 10 because Microsoft Windows 11 is not working for me. Let us see how things work out.
How are customer service and support?
It is very difficult to get hold of Microsoft support people or any support people, including Amazon. There are too many automated processes that you need to go through, and even then you do not know whether you will be able to speak to them.
How would you rate customer service and support?
What other advice do I have?
It is pretty good, to be very honest. In PowerPoint, if I just use it as a standalone software, the number of icons available is comparatively less in standalone Microsoft PowerPoint compared to Office 365. Additionally, it is easier to integrate other icons into Office 365 than into normal, standalone PowerPoint presentation solutions. It is not that I cannot do it. We have developed a tool through which we can integrate it completely, but it took us a while to figure things out.
There is not much difference in Excel or Word, at least I have not come across much difference. We are not doing much with AI as yet.
