Integration and security features enhance functionality, but issues with updates and customer service persist
Pros and Cons
- "Office 365 has great possibilities for integration, such as single sign-on and the Azure part of it."
- "There are many issues with Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange, making it difficult to identify positive aspects."
What is our primary use case?
I use Office 365 primarily for emails. Additionally, I work with Windows and Office Suite, both local and online.
What is most valuable?
Office 365 has great possibilities for integration, such as single sign-on and the Azure part of it. From a security perspective, there are valuable features such as always-on VPN and Endpoint protection. Defender is included for free, and there are options to upgrade Windows with certain plans, like E3 and E5.
What needs improvement?
There are many issues with Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange, making it difficult to identify positive aspects. Exchange has issues such as malfunctioning in specific regions and some features not working for certain users. There are also problems with Windows updates occasionally being faulty. Although it's possible to work around mailbox limitations with an archive or shared mailbox, larger mailboxes would be preferable.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Office 365 for more than ten years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Windows has issues with faulty updates, affecting stability. There are often availability issues with Office products.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Certain Office plans are limited based on the number of users. For instance, a plan that suited my needs could not be used because I have more than one thousand or two thousand users.
How are customer service and support?
I was not happy with the technical support, especially when my issue with DMARC was routed to the Indian support team, who could not resolve it after two and a half months. I requested it to be routed to German support, but it was not. I had happier experiences with the German support previously.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I mentioned potential pricing and tax changes due to political actions like Donald Trump's ideas impacting the EU, which may result in price changes.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Other than Office 365, I have worked with Linux. I have not worked directly with Google but have tried the free version of their similar product.
What other advice do I have?
It's essential to consider the user's knowledge when recommending an Office 365 plan. For example, recommending an E5 license to someone without administrative knowledge doesn't make sense. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Office 365 as a seven.

Experience seamless document collaboration and robust offline access with reliable support
Pros and Cons
- "With Office 365, I have never encountered issues; my experience is entirely positive."
What is our primary use case?
I use Windows on my notebook, and I also use Office 365, which includes Word and PowerPoint for documents and presentations.
We store our documents in SharePoint as document storage, but we don't use workflows in SharePoint because we mainly utilize ALM Jira for all our business processes; SharePoint operates mainly as a repository.
It's important to mention that when we are working on big reports, collaboration is key, allowing many people to work on the same document together.
I use both online and offline; some people do heavy editing on the web, but if I am working on big documents, I prefer to do it offline.
When I'm traveling, I definitely download all the documents on my notebook.
What is most valuable?
I should put my feedback mainly in Jira and Confluence, as these days I'm working around the clock.
With Office 365, I have never encountered issues; my experience is entirely positive.
We use Office 365, and colleagues download everything instantly; it's not about days.
What needs improvement?
It's very difficult to say how we can add more to our Microsoft experiences, as they are constantly improving and changing; regarding the stability of Microsoft products, I have no complaints.
With regard to Jira, when they implement new functionalities, quite often they deliver a product that is not stable enough; we can see this clearly, as sometimes something is not working, but this is about Jira, not about Office 365.
We are not using integrated Copilot, but our developers use OpenRoute a lot, which serves as a broker to interact with several AIs like ChatGPT and Google Gemini. I also know that some developers are using grounding.
I never think of integrating these technologies with Office because when it comes to programming questions, the developers are not using Word; they work in development environments like Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with this technology for approximately 10 years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
With Office 365, I have never encountered issues; my experience is entirely positive.
Regarding the stability of Microsoft products, I have no complaints.
How are customer service and support?
I never contact Microsoft for support; Atlassian support contacts me quite often.
I remember other colleagues contacting Microsoft, but that was mainly about licensing questions, not anything technical.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Sometimes we are not happy with the price of available solutions, but when considering alternatives, such as OpenOffice, there's really nothing to compare. I know the formats of these open applications, but in terms of convenience and functionality, Office 365 is the only option.
In fact, it's not just a leader; Office 365 is the only real option we have now.
What other advice do I have?
You can find us online at Enola-solutions.com.
I use Carmonda for business, along with several other tools.
I would rate it a nine out of ten; the only reason it's not a 10 is that the only comment I have is about the price. The functionality is perfect.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
In Brazil, the pricing of Office 365 is reasonable given the plethora of features offered. Although it can be expensive compared to other solutions, the continuous upgrading and enhancement justify the cost. The price is acceptable, although it could be less.
What other advice do I have?
When comparing collaboration features, Google is often more user-friendly, particularly in terms of ease of use, change visibility, and sharing. Microsoft Office is good but is restrictive in sharing capabilities and integration with platforms like Drive. Overall, I love Office 365 and rate it nine out of ten; it's a very good solution.

Integration of tools in a single platform streamlines my workflow and saves time
Pros and Cons
- "The biggest benefit of Office 365 is having everything in one place with well-integrated tools, leading to time savings as everything is housed in a single environment, facilitating communication, data processing, data input, and data saving."
- "Office 365 should improve data synchronization, especially when data is accessed through the web interface and SharePoint portal."
What is our primary use case?
I work on a project connected to Ministry of Mining and Energetics in Serbia, primarily using Excel and Teams. I use Excel to prepare documents for data input from our associates in the field. This includes consolidation for reports but minimal analytics, using basic Excel functions like average. I also use Outlook as my email client.
What is most valuable?
The biggest benefit of Office 365 is having everything in one place with well-integrated tools. The existing functionality of Office 365 has evolved to meet increasingly complex requirements, making tasks easier and less time-consuming.
What needs improvement?
Office 365 should improve data synchronization, especially when data is accessed through the web interface and SharePoint portal. Sometimes there is a discrepancy between data accessed via the web interface and through Excel, especially with linked files. It is also essential to ensure that users know exactly where their data is and that they are working with the latest version. Also, the interface should not change too frequently, as it can be frustrating for customers who are used to a particular layout.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
As an end user, I have not encountered any issues with scalability. The Office 365 environment always worked well, even in a setting with hundreds of users.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Office 365 is easy. You can start working immediately and adjust necessary settings later. However, changes in the interface over time can be frustrating.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Office 365 is reasonably priced. For personal use, it's €10 per month for up to five users and devices, which is acceptable. For enterprise use, the costs can increase, especially with additional tools like Copilot or Power Automation.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend Office 365 for personal and small business use because of its acceptable price, performance, capability, and functionality. I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten.

Maximizing productivity with extensive features while dealing with integration challenges
Pros and Cons
- "I find the extensive list of features in Office 365 tremendously valuable, including Teams, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Application, and Power Apps."
- "I have issues with call licensing problems, and there is a lack of good information about PBX and IT integration with Teams."
What is our primary use case?
Primarily, I use Office 365 and Teams for various tasks. My firm works as a consulting and IT solution provider for small and micro businesses. We use Office 365 for a range of applications like Teams, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Application, and Power Apps.
What is most valuable?
I find the extensive list of features in Office 365 tremendously valuable, including Teams, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Application, and Power Apps. In particular, I am an end user, and I consult my partner firms to use Office 365 and Teams. I have found that Teams and Outlook are my primary applications. Furthermore, I like Copilot Pro, which I have licensed for use with Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word; it often provides excellent information and guidelines.
What needs improvement?
I have issues with call licensing problems, and there is a lack of good information about PBX and IT integration with Teams. Questions regarding licensing, such as the appropriate license needed for integration with PBX or for supporting call centers and IVRs, are common, along with inquiries about pricing for domestic and international phone calls. Additionally, I would appreciate more documentation on specific integrations.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Office 365 for a few years, maybe five or more.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The initial setup is not entirely easy. A setup may require changing configurations in Exchange and Teams, but overall it is manageable. Although not every deployment is straightforward, I do not spend excessive time resolving problems. The setup is flexible.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I rate the stability of Office 365 as eight out of ten, indicating room for improvement. Specifically, Microsoft Teams can have issues sometimes. Today, for instance, I was unable to log in to my Teams account for over an hour on my mobile. This might be due to my mobile operator or a Microsoft issue.
How are customer service and support?
In a case a few months ago, I assisted a non-profit organization, and I can say that communication has greatly improved with Microsoft. Everything was finished within five to seven days, and the support was cooperative, providing good guidelines. Microsoft is consistently improving in this type of communication.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have only used Microsoft solutions, primarily because my technical team consists of Microsoft-certified professionals. We have no experience with Linux, Google, or other platforms.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
In Serbia, IT is considered expensive because our monthly budget comparison to the rest of Europe is low. With an average salary of 500 euros, Office 365 appears expensive. Many clients request discounts.
