Reliable, scalable, and simple to implement
Pros and Cons
  • "I have found the solution to be pretty stable."
  • "The enterprise edition is quite stable compared with simply using Google on the browser to read email."
  • "There seems to be a bit of vulnerability on some operating systems, specifically on the iPhone. There isn't as much control as if a person is using an Android. That's a bit of a concern."
  • "There seems to be a bit of vulnerability on some operating systems, specifically on the iPhone."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution for work and also for the MDM BYOD control.

What is most valuable?

We're currently still testing the solution. It's very early in the process.

I'm also aware of Microsoft's MDM. When compared with Google, they are both pretty much the same, and not too different.

The initial setup is easy.

The scalability is good.

I have found the solution to be pretty stable.

What needs improvement?

We mostly needed G Suite for the data to implement the BYOD policy. We're still in the process. Once everything is implemented, my understanding is that it will work well for us, however, it's still very early in the process. Right now, we're still in the testing phase.

We'll need to have more control of the data lake once we have the BYOD policy in place. We need more control in terms of DLP going forward. This solution doesn't seem to really cover that functionality.

There seems to be a bit of vulnerability on some operating systems, specifically on the iPhone. There isn't as much control as if a person is using an Android. That's a bit of a concern.

There may be some usability issues within the browser.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have not begun using it yet, however, we have the license. We have the license for testing. We've used the solution for about two months in a testing capacity.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

To be fair, I only tested Google G Suite and have not compared it to another provider vendor.

That said, the enterprise edition is quite stable compared with simply using Google on the browser to read the email. I find it's not easy to read on the browser.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability on offer has been fine and it seems to be able to expand quite well.

How are customer service and support?

I've never been in touch with technical support. Therefore, I cannot speak to how helpful they are, or how quickly they respond to questions.

How was the initial setup?

We have found the implementation process to be straightforward. It's not overly complex or difficult.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I'm on the security team. I can't speak to the exact licensing costs. It's not a part of the product I deal with directly.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did look at different options.

In Thailand, you need to have control the BYOD. That's why we tried to find a solution that addresses this. Our organization already was using the Google G Suite and we decided to move to Enterprise.

What other advice do I have?

I'm not the direct implementer of the product. I just looked into the features inside, however, I did not directly set up G-Suite and therefore I can't be sure if it's a cloud-based deployment.

We are just customers and end-users. We don't have a partnership with Google.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. When I compare it to the Microsoft offering, it's pretty good.

A very open and easy to use solution; good stability
Pros and Cons
  • "It's more open than Microsoft and easy to use."
  • "I like G Suite, it's more open than Microsoft and easy to use."
  • "Scalability is not as good as we would like."
  • "Scalability could be improved, we sometimes have issues when there is a lot of data."

What is our primary use case?

I'm the company technical director and we are customers of G Suite.

What is most valuable?

I like G Suite, it's more open than Microsoft and easy to use.

What needs improvement?

The solution doesn't work so well if we put a lot of data on it. I would also like to see G Suite catch up with the Microsoft Excel functionality, it would be useful for us.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability could be improved, we sometimes have issues when there is a lot of data. We have around 50 G Suite users in the company.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is easy and straightforward.

What other advice do I have?

I recommend this solution and rate it eight out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

A scalable and stable collaborative solution with an easy setup
Pros and Cons
  • "The solution helps us to collaborate."
  • "The solution helps us to collaborate, and we can work and share files with our team."
  • "It would be nice to have additional software, such as Microsoft Teams, since our basic edition, Google Meet, cannot record video."
  • "The permission and control should be addressed."

What is our primary use case?

We do not make use of the software Enterprise, but only of the basic edition, such as Gmail and Google Docs.

What is most valuable?

The solution helps us to collaborate. We can work and share files with our team. We also use Google Meet.

What needs improvement?

The permission and control should be addressed. It would also be nice to have additional software, such as Microsoft Teams, since our basic edition, Google Meet, cannot record video.

It would be great if we could develop our own application by our site.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using G Suite Enterprise for around two or three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable.

How are customer service and technical support?

We have rarely had occasion to make use of technical support, although we have had to do so for other Google products, such as Google app, in which case we found it to be quite good. Mainly, we handle the support on our own.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was simple.

What about the implementation team?

We were capable of implementing on our own.

The solution requires of use some maintenance.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We just use the solution along with another software.

What other advice do I have?

There are around 200 users making use of the solution in our organization. We provide commentary and sell the solution to our clients.

I rate G Suite Enterprises as an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

Easy to implement, straightforward to use, and it is stable
Pros and Cons
  • "The implementation was very easy."
  • "We have not had any limitations with G Suite."
  • "When I compare with Office 365, G Suite has fewer features."
  • "When I compare with Office 365, G Suite has fewer features."

What is our primary use case?

We mainly use it as our email system.

What needs improvement?

When I compare with Office 365, G Suite has fewer features.

The collaboration in Office 365 is more advanced and more developed than G Suite.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using the G Suite Basic Edition for between two and three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have not had any limitations with G Suite. There are no issues with the stability of this product.

How are customer service and technical support?

We have not needed help from technical support. G Suite is pretty much straightforward.

How was the initial setup?

There is nothing to install. We just have to subscribe to it.

The implementation was very easy.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have plans to migrate to Office 365. We want to keep everything on the same platform for office applications. Rather than purchase two licenses, we would like to purchase one.

What other advice do I have?

I would say that Office 365 is better to use.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Easy to use, simple to navigate around and very stable
Pros and Cons
  • "From a security point of view, Google will alert you if anything strange is happening. They will flag it for you so you are aware."
  • "It's a good solution. It's simple to use and navigate."
  • "Google Meet can have a bit more functionality. It should show the views of more people. Right now, it shows just eight at a maximum, or six. When there are more people on the call, more than eight, everyone is not showing."
  • "Google Meet can have a bit more functionality."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use G Suite for our internal tasks. In the company, all the accounts are set up in the G Suite. We use chat also, as well as video functionality and the drive on offer. We do calls through Google G Suite itself.

What is most valuable?

It's a good solution.

It's simple to use and navigate.

I like the video capabilities. I like it more than Microsoft Teams and Zoom as well, due to the fact that it's so simple.

The functionality is really simple and it's absolutely cloud-based and it's easy to use and it's fast.

The solution is stable.

You can scale the product.

From a security point of view, Google will alert you if anything strange is happening. They will flag it for you so you are aware.

What needs improvement?

Google Meet can have a bit more functionality. It should show the views of more people. Right now, it shows just eight at a maximum, or six. When there are more people on the call, more than eight, everyone is not showing. That's an improvement that can be made so that we can see everyone who actually enters a meeting.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for one year. It hasn't been that long.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable and the performance is good. There are no bugs or glitches and it doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The product is scalable. If a company needs to expand it, it can do so.

Currently, we have about 450 people using the product.

How are customer service and technical support?

I've never dealt with technical support. I've never had any problems and therefore I have never had to reach out. I can't speak to how helpful or responsive they are.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I also have experience with Microsoft Teams as well as Zoom (for video conferencing tasks).

However, we have only used this product and did not use anything else previously.

How was the initial setup?

I did not handle any aspect of the installation process. I can't speak to how easy or difficult it was, how long it took, or what was involved in executing.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I can't speak to the cost of the product or how much our company pays. I don't deal with payments or licensing.

What other advice do I have?

I'm a customer and an end-user. I use this product at my current company.

We use the enterprise version of the solution.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten.

I would recommend the product to other users and organizations.

Easy to use and reasonable priced but requires the addition of offline capabilities
Pros and Cons
  • "The solution is very stable."
  • "Technical support has been great."
  • "Sometimes, I would like to be able to use the solution offline, and I can't do so. It would be ideal if there was some sort of offline mode available."
  • "I have found that certain applications, such as G Suite Sheets, are hard to use."

What is most valuable?

It's great that we can support all types of docs and we don't have to install any application and need to store anything on a laptop or local machine. It helps us save physical space on devices.

The solution is very stable.

It's a very easy-to-use solution and is very intuitive.

Technical support has been great.

What needs improvement?

I have found that certain applications, such as G Suite Sheets, are hard to use. They aren't very intuitive. The layout isn't great.

Sometimes, I would like to be able to use the solution offline, and I can't do so. It would be ideal if there was some sort of offline mode available.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for just under a year or so. It hasn't been too long.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I'm not sure how scalable the solution is. I haven't tested its ability to scale personally.

We have about 2,000 people in our organization using the product.

How are customer service and technical support?

Support has been great. We even have local support, and it makes it easy to communicate. We have been satisfied with their level of service.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Google, we used Microsoft and its suite of applications, including Microsoft email.

How was the initial setup?

There is no need to install anything; it is all on the cloud.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is pretty inexpensive. Our company pays for licensing that is per user.

What other advice do I have?

We are using the latest version of the solution right now.

I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten.

I'd recommend it to companies looking for an easy-to-use solution that is relatively cheap.

Has an easy setup and good technical support
Pros and Cons
  • "The solution's technical support is very good."
  • "The solution's technical support is very good."
  • "The stability should be addressed."
  • "The stability could be improved, such as the issue of Google meetings being disparate from those on Zoom platforms."

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution for collaborative jobs, email, meetings, Google Drive and for storing information.

What needs improvement?

While, overall, I am satisfied with the solution, the stability could be improved, such as the issue of Google meetings being disparate from those on Zoom platforms.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using G Suite Enterprise for two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability should be addressed.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Since I am using the cloud, I am not in a position to comment on the solution's scalability.

How are customer service and technical support?

The solution's technical support is very good.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup of G Suite Enterprise is easy.

While I cannot recall exactly how long the full deployment took us, I believe we are talking about two or three months. During this period we needed to migrate from Microsoft to Google, after which we had some work to tend to.

What other advice do I have?

There are around 4,000 people using the solution in our organization.

My advice to others is to not give up, since the starter form changed and they'll be off work.
